Wow! Glad I'm not the only one who have found the deals less than appealing. I am getting worried.
-
I am in line and they say 10. They have 106 systems available at my Walmart. A manager is handing out numbers now. I got here at 8:30 and I am number 68!!!

I need candy (and a lot of it) for baskets, eggs and other activities with kids! Please share the best deals you have found for Easter candy. I have Walmart, Target, Meijer, Kmart, CVS, Walgreens and Kroger by me. I'm hoping between coupon clipping, online q's and store sales to find some incredible deals. Wait let me rephrase...I'm not the best deal finder but I am great and following the directions for some of the great deals the gottadeal forum members have posted and am thankful everyday for how this has saved my budget! Thanks.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010
tlklcox replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
They had $2.99 in the corner but so did the reg. priced 3 pks. I just picked up two with different upc codes and scanned them. Then I went back and grabbed the ones w/ the upc that came up $0. Otherwise they look identical! -

I found 9 pkgs of the the 3 pks of tape today for .29 each. They scanned as $0 so I found a team member who looked to be helping mark down things and she said they should have been salvaged so I should just tell the cashier that they should sell them to me at 90% off original price. I was soooooo happy :) Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Also the Targt by me is completely resetting their cookware and bakeware aisles. They are putting a display of Giada (sp?) cookware up and a lot of new things were added to the endcaps for clearance. They were only 30% off though. I found a dinosaur mold for baking and just couldn't resist as they had only one left and I have bdays coming up! Toys mostly 30% and 50% w/ very few 75% mixed in. -

Has anyone noticed toys being clearanced yet? I went to a target and they had two aisles of toys set up with 30% off already plus some end caps. I wonder when they will go 50% off or more???? -
we usually have a family get together with a sit down meal. This year we have decided that since the kids 5 and under outnumber the adults that we are going to keep it to our two favorite courses....appetizers and deserts! I'm sure we will still have tons of goodies and nobody will go hungry.

are you kidding me? I find that to be hilarious!

Here are a few we make every year. Every year we get together and bake from 9 a.m. until approx. 9 p.m. Exhausting but so worth it! Peppermint Crisps (got this recipe from MIL who had it passed down from her mom) 1/2 cup shortening 2 eggs 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 cup sugar 2 tblsp milk 2 cups flour 1/2 tsp baking soda red/white peppermint candy crushed cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately w/ milk. Drop spoonful of dough on cookie sheet and use flat glass dipped in flour to flatten. Sprinkle w/ crushed candy in center. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet right away to prevent sticking. Let cool on cooling rack. Serves approx. 4 dozen (I think a little less though...I think I make them a little big) tip: this dough needs to be cool otherwise it spreads very thin while baking. Holiday Oatmeal Cookies (we have made this for about 5 years now I got it from a magazine and tweaked it a bit) 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 large egg 3 cups oats 1 cup semi sweet chips 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup butter (2 sticks) 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup raisins (I use baking raisins) I add a dash (to taste) of a spice blend that I have from pampered chef. It has cinn. and nutmeg among other ingred. in it. I'm sure they make something similar for the grocery. Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. In large bowl w/ mixer on medium beat butter, brown sugar and sugar until creamed. Beat in egg and vanilla. Reduce speed to low. Gradually beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in oats, raisins and chips. Bake 13-15 minutes til tops are golden. Serves 4 dozen Funday Sunday (we make this year around don't know where it came from. Probably MIL got it from a mag. a long time ago.) base/crust 24 oreos finely crushed (2 1/2 cups) 1/4 cup margarine or butter filling 1/2 gallon mint chocolate chip icecream softened (this can be messy) topping 2 cups powdered sugar 13 oz evap milk 1 tsp vanilla 6 oz (1 cup) semi sweet choc chips 1/2 cup marg/butter in bowl combine cookies and melted butter. Mix well and press lightly on bottom of 13X9 ungreased pan Cut icecream into 1 inch thick slices. Place over crushed cookies. Spread icecream w/ spatula to cover completely. Cover and freeze. Topping in medium saucepan combine sugar, chips, milk and margarine. Bring to boil over med/low heat. Cook 8 minutes (exactly) stiring CONSTANTLY. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Cool 1 hour. Pour over icecream filling, cover and freeze. Word to the wise might want to use a 9X13 pan with a lid. Foil tends to stick to the fudge topping. This isn't a sweet but I grew up w/ this and it reminds me of home and makes the house smell so good when making it I think. Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Filling (My mom made this and I know her mom and grandma also made it. And yes, we are all from PA). 8 medium Potatos 1/4 cup butter 2 slices white bread 2 tblsp minced parsley 1 med onion 1 cup milk 1 large egg 1 tblsp flour salt/pepper to taste Boil potatoes, saute chopped onion in butter until soft and yellow. Drain potatoes and mash using 3/4 cup milk. Mix in onion, butter, bread, flour, egg and parsley. Season w/ salt and pepper. Thin to desired consistency w/ milk. Beat for a minute or two. Put in buttered baking dish. Dot top with butter. Bake 350 for one hour. Hope everyone enjoys...now I am hungry!

DPCI: 072-07-0304 I got a bissel steam carpet cleaner. $399 clearanced to $195 and some change. I was super excited. I've been wanting a carpet cleaner for a long time. I saw them last week and on Tuesday at my local Target but wanted to research it before I bought it. When I went back today it was gone I looked it up to see if they had it close to where my MIL lives and it said Limited Availability. Sure enough they had one left on clearance. Now I just have to wait until the middle of Nov. when we see each other to get it. I hope it works well! The reviews seemed favorable. -
This is my soon to be 12 dd's list for her bday in Nov. and xmas (and no she isn't getting all of it): Tickets to see New Moon New Moon merchandise Tickets to see Phantom of the Opera (they'll be in the area next summer) Ipod touch upgrade phone w/ qwerty but she is only one year into contract Netbook fun long socks (she plays soccer and softball) Boppit gift cards for itunes, aeropostle, holister, etc. furry boots skinny jeans fabric covered bulletin board for room Miley Cyrus cd

I hope we get a pop up location. They closed our Toys R Us four years ago and the closest store is 30 minutes away now. Would be interesting at least.

I had over $75 in my cart then checked out and on step three of the checkout process put my code in before confirming my order. This kept the shipping off for me. I think step one (review/edit order) shows you can add the code and I didn't then because that would then keep my shipping on. Step two is billing/shipping info. Step three shows adding coupon code and gift card info and placing your order. This is when I entered my code and it allowed the shipping to remain off. Hope this was enough info and works for any future orders also. I got something like $90 worth for $22.50:yup:
