  1. I figured about #4 and such. Huge crowds are a plus for shoplifters, and huge lines are a pickpocket's dream come true. Security or not, there's still gonna be problems. Everyone please be xtra careful out there and take care of your merchandise, and yourselves.
  2. Every now and then while I'm browing the megssages here on the BF GottaDeal forums my browser spits out a page that says something along the lines of "The server is busy, please try again later". Kinda like a busy signal for this BF site. Is this site really becoming soo popular that we're overloading poor RossMAN's server? Wonder what will happen once BF day arrives. Maybe the server will blow up!
  3. Dangit. I forgot to put up an option for "Other" in the poll. Can u change that, RossMAN?
  4. Don't forget to post your location as well, children! Phoenix, Arizona gets the $378 desktop. Looks like they're having the bigger sale on the laptop according to the flyer.
  5. Sorry 'bout that. I submitted the text and was typing out the poll on the next page when I got distracted.
  6. That's right, ladies and germs! It's time for ... The "OFFICIAL" Black Friday Wal-Mart Desktop Price Poll! Now that WM has release their BF catalog and flyers online, everyone go to WalMart.com and check your local WM price on the HP desktop. Then post it here with your location. Not just so people in your area will know what the local price is, but so we can see just how many of these regional sale prices there are. And don't forget to vote in the Laptop Price Poll as well!
  7. $398 desktop and $378 laptop in the Phoenix area. Looks like they split it up a bit.
  8. You have to sign a contract with AOL that guarantees you'll let them automatically take about $21.95 a month from either your credit card or checking account. You don't have to pay the full 12 months up front to get the $250 instant rebate, that'd be just plain silly considering you're paying just a tad more than that over a years time. Just have to sign up for their basic service for 12 months. $200 down and $22 a month for 12 months is mighty good for "financing" the thing. Went to CC the other night to take a look at the similar floor model thay had in stock. It's a sweet Toshiba laptop. I need this badly, but like yourself I'm in the same sinking boat. I need lots of other stuff and I can't afford a laptop without that AOL discount.
  9. No BF ads here. Looks like I'll be waiting a few more days for 'em.
  10. They call me ... ChfBehring.
  11. So how much we talkin' about out the door and how much do we get back in mail-in rebates for that router + all-in-one printer?
  12. Can y'all verify this? I know CompUSA is doing this same thing with AOL sign-up for 12 months and get a $250 gift card, just that it seems odd AOL would have multiple stores to get this discount at. And what about those other rebates to bring the desktop down to FREE and the laptop to $199?
  13. Now that CC's ads have leaked out, everyone's buzzing about the free PC an the $199 laptop. Not to mentionnthe free printer and router with the laptop. The problem is, that ad is WAY too blurry to tell what all the fine print details are to get all that. I assume it's another AOL sign-up instant discount, but it's just too hard to tell. So, who can tell us what the details on all those instant/mail-in rebates are? Specifically, I'm looking for the fine print next to ... - $199 Toshiba Laptop - FREE eMachines Desktop (including details about the upgrades) - FREE broadband router and all-in-one printer Any information on the ad about AOL's instant rebate (appears to be on the bottom in super-fine print) RossMan ... Brad ... if you guys have the original ad, can you let us know what that fine print says? Anyone? Anyone? ... Bueler? Bueler?
  14. First off, those bumps can hurt. Please be careful with those things. Anways, it all depends on what you want. Keep one thing in mind when working out a game plan for those popular items: limited sypply. All those stores you mentioned are gonna have long lines just to get in when they open, and are gonna run out of the most popular stuff real fast. For any "must have" items on your shoping list I'd show up considerably early at that store so you'd be almost guaranteed that item before their limited supply runs dry. Then stop by the other stores for the littler items. Let us know what's on your shoppng list and we can help you wring out the game plan.
  15. Gonna be a toasty 51 degrees here in Phoenix when the shops open at 5am. Here's to all you below freezing blizzard watchers ...
  16. Sour fruit juice for me, all the way. A good sugar rush with a hint of pucker is the only way to keep me awake.
  17. Thanksgiving sometimes feels like the big feast to celebrate the BF holiday.
  18. If they know this now they'd better post it thanksgiving eve. Otherwise there's gonna be a riot if they wait that long since none of those people in line will be able to get in another line somewhere else. Just imagine 100s of customers coming off of no sleep whatsoever suddenly getting all screwed. It won't be pretty.
  19. I'll be going straight to a line right after my turkey dinner. Might take a little nap in whatever line I'm waiting in, but I wouldn't officially consider it to be sleep. That comes after I've got all my loot home and all the boxes are resting comfortably in my living room.
  20. Re-direct yourself over here
  21. Hope they didn't scare 'ya into not going to Fry's on BF.
  22. The might try their best, since that poor person went to all that trouble to get in line. But when it all comes down to it, if ya cant pay for it ya don't get it. I wouldn't have much sympathy for someone like that. Before you go to all that trouble to be the first few people in line, it only takes Common Sense 101 to make sure you can pay for the thing first.
  23. Sorry, couldn't resist. I don't think Goodwill is having a BF sale. However, I always get classic videogame systems and cartridges at thrift shops like Goodwill or at Desseret Industries. Pawn shops or even used bookstores that carry used cds/dvds/games are a good place as well.
  24. Actually, Best Buy will have a toshiba laptop for $379.99, so I guess the answer is no. But that's all in the laptop section of the forums.

    eMachine Question

They will on BF day. It's not on Walmart.com, nor will it ever be. It's being shipped to stores in very limited supply as a BF exclusive.
