  1. My boys are 10 and 11.  In their stockings this year, they will find:

    Toothbrush

    Fun Bandaids

    Deodorant

    Body Spray

    XBOX Points cards

    Candy

    New ear buds

Each will get a new movie

  2. My boys are 11 and 10.  This year, we are taking a different approach to gift giving for them.  Rather than buying just for the sake of having a "pile" under the tree, we are doing something I saw on Pinterest.  They will each get something they want (they both are getting iPod Touches), something they need (each will get a case, earbuds and iTunes giftcards to go with their iPods), something to wear (the 11 year old asked for new hightops and the 10 year old asked for a nice watch), and something to read (Both are getting a nice hardback book).  In addition to those things, we got them Disney Infinity for XBOX as a joint gift.  In their stockings, I will put a DVD for each, and XBOX Points Card, and other small things.  It is SUCH a relief to have almost all of their gifts purchased already, and I know they will be thrilled with them. I know once they get their ipods, they won't play with much else anyway, and they usually get cash/gift cards from extended family, so they can buy whatever they may want that they didn't get from DH and I.

  3. How about a Curling Wand?  I got one last year for Christmas and my friend also got one for her 14 year old daughter.  We both love them! :) Does she wear jewelry?  Brighton has nice, but inexpensive bracelets and charms.  You could buy her the bracelet and a charm for two for Christmas and then add onto it for Birthdays, etc.  I think a Kindle Fire would be great too... I love mine!

  4. Just making my list for this year... We are REALLY cutting back this year. I am so tired of buying just to have a "pile" under the tree...  This year, we are doing the "something you  want, something you need, something to wear, something to read..." strategy for our boys.  They are really into their electronics and video games, and get so much from extended family, that we chose to buy one big gift for each and a few smaller things.

DH  - Got him a DVD set so far, and maybe a 15" TV to keep in his truck (he is an OTR truck driver)

Son (11) - Ipod Touch, case, Itunes g/c, a book, new sneakers, Stocking Stuffers, Disney Infinity (will be a group gift for both boys)

Son (10) - Ipod Touch, case, Itunes g/c, a book, new watch, Stocking Stuffers, Disney Infinity (will be a group gift for both boys)

Mom - Lighted Magnifying Makeup Mirror, and not sure what else yet

Mom's BF - Coffee Mug and Gift card for 7-11 (he gets his coffee there every day)

Dad - New Slippers (I get them for him every year), and some WWII DVDs

Sister (32) - Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner (something she requested and I KNOW she will use)

Sister (22) - Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Machine

Nephew (2.5) - Spiderman Pillow, Spiderman Sneakers, HULK Action Figure

Niece (5 months) - Activity Saucer

Best Friend - Gift Certificate to her favorite restaurant

3 Teachers - Probably gift cards

  5. I have had a wonderful Christmas!

    I got:

A Kindle Fire (SO exicted about this!)

    The Smurfs Movie

Some crafty goodies - (Stamps, a scoring board, an airbrush)

Bath and Body Works stuff and some nailpolish

A Cupcake photo holder and piggy bank (I love cupcakes!)

Still have to open presents at mom's when we head over for dinner. I have been very blessed! :)

The best gift though, is that my children love everything they got and have been playing their little hearts out all day! :)

  6. www.totallytarget.com has the Sunday ads on Friday afternoons, usually around 2-3pm EST. They also list matching coupons for each ad item that has them. It is not an ad scan, just the listing.
  7. My sister works at Target at the service desk, and I asked her to double check the price match/price adjustment, and she was told that they are NOT doing either one on Black Friday (because it is a 2-day ad and not a weekly ad). I am super paranoid. There are a few games I wanted for my DH that I was going to get early and PA, but now I don't know if I will be able to without a hassle...
  8. Ehhh, not thrilled. I was looking forward to the $5 matching PJs for the whole family that they have done in past years. I am disappointed that they will not have them this year. I see a few things I might want to pick up... Wondering if I can grab a few of the $37 games a few days before and price adjust? I should be able to, right?
  9. 4:00 pm. Ace Combat Assault Horizon for either PS3 or XBOX (combat across the globe, dodging skyscrapers, and turning their enemies into fiery supersonic debris - never before has combat been so fast and in-your-face!)

6:00 p.m. Mario & Sonic at Winter Games

9:00 pm. Puzzler World -single player puzzle games designed to provide puzzle fans and fanatics over 500 hours of play time spread across over 1,000 addictive games

11:00 p.m. -Dead Rising?? but not sure ...

Ohhh, I sure hope it's Mario and Sonic at 6pm! It's on my son's list! :)

  10. I was in TRU a few weeks ago, and the sales associate was wearing a tiny little furry thing on her shoulder. Apparently, it has magnets, and you put one under your shirt and it connects to the one on the bottom of the furry thing to make it look like it is sitting on your shoulder. I was trying to find it online to order one, but I can't for the life of me remember what they are called. They are in the girls toy section... anyone know? Thanks in advance! :)
  11. Our boys get new PJs and one small present from DH and I on Christmas Eve, otherwise, everything else is put out after they go to sleep and we open Christmas morning. I can understand why you are concerned. Would your sister-in-law bend at all with their tradition?
  12. Last year, I got the Imaginext Space Shuttle on BF at Target for $29 I think... I know the Samari Castle is on sale at Target now for $37 down for $43, and they had a sale on them 2 weeks ago too. I am sure there will be more before Christmas. Our sons love them... we have the Batcave, Pirate Ship, Space Shuttle, and DS8 is getting the Samari Castle for Christmas. They get tons of play around here :)
  13. I am sorry if this is a crazy question or one that has been answered before :) Will Target price-match the toys r us toy book? For example, the Tag Reading system is marked 29.99 in the toy book and there is a $10 off coupon in the target toy book, making me be able to get this for $20. If so, do I just bring the toy book to the guest services desk and have them do this there? Thanks!!!

I have been able to pricematch the TRU ad and use the Target coupon in the past... shouldn't be a problem :)
