  1. Awesome Deal! Reminds me of my Jewel/Osco deal last year. They had Zune's and Zune speakers in the Osco department. My MIL works there, so I get a discount. Their policy is if the price rings up different then on the shelf, you get that item free. Well, the speaker had a $49.99 shelf tag. It was way up high, so I had to have the manager get it down for me. When I went to checkout, it rang up for $99.99 I told the cashier that she needed a price check, because the shelf tag said $49.99. So she calls the manager, and he said that the speakers were in the wrong section, but to go ahead and give me the price of $49.99 I was happy with that until the customer behind me reminded me about their price is right or it's free rule. So I asked the cashier about it. She rolled her eyes and had to call the manager again. He honored it, so I got it FREE! That was awesome!
  2. I voted the same. My dh gets paid bi-weekly, so twice a year, it's like an extra check. One of those checks is exclusively for Black Friday, the other, towards vacation.
  3. Wal-mart is at fault for not doing crowd control. Even if the original person who stepped on the poor man tried to stop, the crowd behind them would keep pushing, (Spoken from experience!) Wal-mart needs a ticket system or some kind of system for the door rushers. There's no consequences for these folks, so they keep doing it. And Wal-mart fined $7000, give me a break, that's hardly a slap on the wrist, and I don't think the fine will make them come up with a better system. The family of that guy must feel jaded.
  4. Okay, our bill was $71.99 and they gave us a $10 giftcard towards a future purchase.
  5. We're going to Fridays tonight. I'll let you know if we get a giftcard.

  9. Okay, got $400 worth of stuff for $100 bucks! My cart was over flowing, I got a new theme color for my tree next year, bought tons of lights for indoors and out, a couple of wreaths, ornaments, garland, but a few of my best finds were a car cooler/warmer for $7.xx, and a charger holder for cell phones for $6.xx. I also got some chocolate gift baskets, a thing for the kids to paint their own garland, I was a little disapointed that most of the stocking stuffers were gone....yesterday, a ton, ...today...nada!

  13. At my dh's restaurant, thay had the same Santa and Mrs. Claus every year for Breakfast with Santa. They were fantastic! One year my mom hired them to come to the house for all the grandkids. Santa knew my kids by name because he saw him every year. All of their Santa pics have the same exact Santa. My ds12 believed in Santa until he was 9. He thought his Dad knew the 'real Santa'.
  14. Mine arrived today, and it wasn't the snowman hat one. it was a red snowflake tin. They must have ran out.

  20. GPS navagation unit, restaurant gift card, hotel accomodations near your house so they can visit (if you want them too, LOL) A homemade DVD of the kids wishing them a Merry Christmas. One year I sent my aunt a family photo in a recordable frame with the kids singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas" She loved it, and enjoys it every Christmas when she puts it out. I don't know where they live but maybe tickets to show like Blue Man group or Wicked.
  21. I am looking for a really good kolacky recipe. I used to have a neighbor that brought some over and they were fabulous! Thay were rally light and flaky, almost fillo-like dough. They were definitely different then the hard and crisp cream cheese recipe ones. Anyone have a really good recipe?
  22. I actually thought it would be more than $2000. hmmm....Maybe I should start saving for hubby next year.
