  1. Had some very different results today on employee discounts. My wife works at the DC here in Delaware so obviously I get the discount too. This morning before we headed out shopping I ordered 2 of the $29 HP printers online and the discount was applied. My wife went to the store later in the morning and the discount was not applied to the Wrangler jeans. I went after work and bought the Garmin 200 and the discount did not work. But on the way out I picked up a video rocker and the discount worked. Pretty weird.
  2. I went to WM after work (around 5pm EST) and there were still plenty of doorbuster items available at the 5-11 price. While I was looking around a page came over the intercom stating they still had a bunch of items including WII's and the $97 Garmin available at S2S. Went back there and there was a mountain of GPS, Wii's, Blu Ray players, digi cams, etc that were doorbusters. Walking through the store there was still a full pallet of HP printers, two pallets of video rockers, and plenty of TV's. My wife works at the DC and she heard that a few of the Blitz trucks never even left the DC until this morning. That might have something to do with the high availability of items.
  3. Gotta be quick. In the time it took me to put something in my cart, go back to put something else in the first item switched to in store purchase only.
  4. It is expired. Current offer is B2G1 on select HD-DVD discs free and free shipping on HD and blu-ray discs.
  5. I went to three local Wal-Marts in search of the Toshiba HD-A2. One had three of the Vizo 50" on the floor. One other had a sign saying they were not getting theirs until 8pm. They were out there.
  6. Went to three Wal-Marts trying to find the Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD player for $198 with 5 free movies instantly. None of them had an A2 in stock nor did they even get any in. They had plenty of the $298 A3. And on top of that they had maybe a total of 10-15 HD-DVD's to choose from. That is total of 10-15 discs. Not different titles.
  7. These are in-store specials.
  8. Here is a little more info. LINK
  9. CC usually has the lowest price on new releases by $1. They are $13.99 on Pirates. Of course you can p/m at Wally Word or BB.
  10. I think you mean Destroy All Humans. Best bet since it is an older game and out of print is ebay. You can probably find a mint used one or even a brand new one still sealed for under $10 shipped.
  11. That is a really good deal. I have been thinking about upgrading my 4 y/o Onkyo with a receiver with HDMI switching and all of the new audio decoding. Just don't know if I want to spend that much. Very tempting just the same.
  12. Got mine yesterday. And it was the same. List on a label on the inside flap. But I noticed I didn't get a receipt or even a packing list.
  13. The price on the A3 is going crazy. Last Wednesday it went from $199 to $187 to $178 down to $159. Then it went back up again and fluctuated for a few days. Those prices were when amazon was including 3 free HD-DVD's as well as the 7 you already got free. I went to BB and got a price match when it was at $187 because I thought that was as low as it would go. So I'm keeping this one unopened in hopes amazon does another price slash. Shoulda oughta grabbed it at $159 and been done with it.
  14. Depending on what hotel chain it is you can get discount codes on the back of the Wal-Mart/Rand McNally atlas. Never heard of being able to negotiate a hotel directly. And for the record I have always found that booking direct is cheaper than any of those site like expedia or hotels dot come.
  15. Not a bad deal. And you get a second controller. I might pick one up just to use as a Blu-Ray player.
  16. Most of the discounts you see on the PS2 involve bundles and freebies more than price cuts. I can't remember seeing a PS2 console for under the $129 price.
  17. Shhhhhhh!!!! We don't need any more kids wheeling around the stores on these things. B
  18. Couldn't tell you. We were in and out with our items before any lines formed at the registers.
  19. This is the first time I did Target first. I usually do Best Buy but they really didn't have anything I wanted first. So we get there at 4am. Maybe 20 people in front of us. By the time 5:30 rolled around the line was well over 200-300 and was quickly becoming disorganized. It originally wrapped around the store but now it split at the end of the sidewalk and started going into the parking lot. The people way in the back were getting ticked off. The people right around us were as well because you had the ones trying to sneak up to the other side of the doors. Then there were the door rushers waiting at the edge of the curb. There was probably well over 100 of them. Security was out there trying to control the line and the door rushers. It was crazy. Best Buy last year was not even that bad. We went all the way back to electronics, got our items checked out and there was still a steady line of people coming in the front doors and it still went outside to the parking lot. Still trying to figure out why such the huge crowd. There were no door busters and really nothing I could personally see that was an outstanding deal or HTF item.
  20. All he would have to say is he didn't like the picture and changed his mind. It's not like it was 3 months after purchase. They will resell it as an open box item. And there is nothing really dishonest about doing it that way either. One stuck/dead pixel would make me not like the picture quality.
  21. They might still have some at Target. Their sale is for 2 days. When I was there no one was really interested in them and they had a bunch. I was the only one while I was there who bought one. See if you can get one and just return the BB one as defective for a refund.
  22. Did anyone pick one of these up today??? If so did you need a ticket??? It was not listed in circular as a door buster or requiring a ticket. I got there at 6:30 and one of the geeks told me they couldn't sell me one w/o a ticket until after 10:00 if there was any left. Talked to one of the managers I know there and he got me one. I lucked out but still don't understand why they required a ticket for an item that was not a door buster.
  23. I read many reviews on Envision monitors on newegg and the biggest complaints were dead pixels right out of the box and within a few weeks of use.
  24. Sounds like quite a few of the Targets were crazy just like the one here. I don't get why such the huge crowd and the ones trying to bum-rush the door. There wasn't anything that spectacular. Again I gotta commend management and security for doing their best to keep it under control.
