He has his FIRST Xmas CD out and it is 9.99 from Amazon, I want it very SOON, hard to wait, but I'd have to find other stuff to buy if I want free shipping... anyone think it'd be like 7.99, or 5.99 deal on Amazon BF week? I think I can wait until then, especially since I don't want to buy other junk I don't need at this time.. OPINIONS?

Thanks, I have changed my mind a bit recently, but I am pretty certain it'll be Nexus. I don't like the ads Kindle Fire has (and charge $$ to remove), and not so sure I want to invest in prime again, being my state now has tax, and then free shipping isn't necessarily free, when Amazon is now calling certain things ADD ON's and those aren't eligible for free shipping.... My Staples sits alone, but it is in the opposite direction of the other stores I normally hit on BF. And good luck with your quad core desktop

Do you know if buying it from Google Play gives you any extra insurance, like how Amazon replaces the Kindle Fires, if you drop, etc? *I see Staples has them, and that store is under gift cards I can use to earn fuelpoints...so related to above question, would you risk buying from Staples, or better to buy from GOOGLE? Seems to me, where I am the days surrounding veteran's Day always bring warm temps, lower winds, but who knows with Sandy this year. I have often put stuff out, but just not turned it on. Especially lights on the bushes... if weather wasn't a factor, ever, I'd put it all up 1-2 days before Turkey day! And turn it on after Thanksgiving dinner!

Need a bit of help here:Besides the Kindle Fire, do any of the tablets UNDER 250 have any kind of administrative/adult control/limit control? I need to keep my son from BUYING or more importantly DELETING any apps/music, etc that I put on the tablet... And I am not even sure that KF does that, I know it has KINDLE time where you can limit how long he watches movies, etc, but does it prevent him from Deleting them??

I still send them, I get fewer every year, kind of sad. I wonder if it is people having hard times, laziness, hectic lives, illness, or sadly loss of holiday spirit. Anytime I don't get one from someone I normally do, I wonder if the post office lost it, or it was one of the previously mentioned reasons. . . I choose them carefully, while paying attention to price of course. I love to find ones with characters/objects that are the same number of members in our family. Sometimes I choose religious ones and sometimes I send photo cards. I always write something in every card, sometimes a few paragraphs, sometimes just one or two lines. I am always very happy to have a Christmas card in the mailbox

That 99$ Nexus would help my budget -- BUT I really need some way to keep my younger son restricted from certain sites and also the man his time/Make it so he can't accidentally delete items. Does anyone think the Nexus tablet will offer this??

Thanks everyone for your input. I lost my paper with my info on it but I believe best deal I saw so far was a 22 inch w/dvd player for 178.oo but I can't recall where or the brand... Son has limited space/outlets in his room, didn't want another player there/more wires...power strips, etc.

Do you think I should wait until BF? was there a good deal last year? If so I can be patient, buy some giftcards, be ready, etc... but I am not sure what spouse's work schedule is gonna be, etc. I may be watching kids/can't be sure I can be tied to the pc for 24-48 hours hoping to catch a kindle deal that may last 10 minutes...

Doing research I think I wanna stay away from Westinghouse & Samsung. I was hoping for a 24, 26, OR 30 inch TV for my son's room, possibly with a built-in dvd player, (considering I don't want those 2 brands) do you think I can find one of those on BF or before at a great price? I'd like to pay between 100 and 150 tops with or without the dvd....
