  8. We have a set limit each year. This year it's $300.
  9. ZERO BOXES!!! After tiring of spending so much on shipping ($100+ each year) gifts that extended family didn't use, we decided to tell them all to donate to charity in our name and we'll do that as well. It's been the best XMas ever and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! We've really taken the season back to what it should be: about spending time with family and friends, and doing charitable deeds.

  16. My DH always fill stockings for one another (costing between $30 and $70), but I think I'm running out of ideas. What do you put in a grown-up's stocking?

    I love real trees! We ied going with a fake one year before last, then last year we we went back to live. It's just better (and, surprisingly, better for the environment than fake trees, which poison the air to produce and don't break down once they're dumped).
