we had thanksgiving dinner last year at our house. it was me, dh our 2 kids, MIL and FIL. it will be that way again this year also cuz BF is my DD's 6th birthday and then either that saturday or sunday, we are having a bday party for my DS who will be 2 since my inlaws are already there and wont be able to make the drive on his actual bday(dec. 7th). the shopping is waaay better here than at my MIL's. we have all the major stores right across the street from each other in 2 big shopping centers. at my MIL's, you literally have to drive miles in opposite directions to get to where you want to go.

i would try old navy, fashion bug and lane bryant. i dont know how cheap they can get but sometimes they have sales. i found most of my plus sized shorts from the thrift store and since my 2 DS's are 20 mos apart, i got good use of them.

thats a bummer but as least they were nice about it. however, i DONT like that i have to wait until early november, lol.

I would love to go by myself but i usually have MIL with me. its ok in that i have someone to talk too, but she bugs me cuz she puts a "time limit" on how long i can be in one store before we have to leave. she does this all the time, holiday or no holiday.

the last couple of years, i have gone back to WM later in the day only to find that they still had EVERYTHING left and since Target was a madhouse last year, i will go there first, then walmart and lowes.

since i almost delivered our 3rd child on the side of a freeway(making it to the hospital with 13 minutes to spare) I am DEFINITELY getting something for myself, lol.

with my dh's job, its considered part of the holiday as well.

me too. we might leave a little earlier, but we are usually home by noon. one year me, my SIL and my MIL were out from 2am-4pm the same day.... we were very tired when we got home, lol. this year, BF is also my DD's 6th birthday, so i have to be home by noon or i might not hear the end of it, lol.

i have just tried Tide for the first time and i love it! we use the kind with the Febreze scent and its wonderful. We use to just buy the Walmart brand of laundry soap but i dont know if it was being pregnant or what but my clothes were still smelly and i know i put the soap in. so i tried this cuz it was on sale at walmart for $10 and I LOVE IT!

well my 2 DS's will be easy to buy for, its my DD thats tricky. her bday is nov. 28th and then xmas 4 weeks later..... so she tells us what she wants(starting now, lol) and we break it up and do mostly for xmas. but she will be 6 this year and its starting to get expensive, lol. she has really gotten into Hannah Montana, Camp Rock and Justice clothing stores. Thankfully she will be my 1 and only DD, lol.

any chance those cherry red front loading washer and dryers are clearanced? I have been eyeing them up for a year or so now but dh tells me i have to wait until we get a new house.... not for another 5 years or so.

i get my DD's from ebay. i usually can get 2-3 leotards for about $20 for all. these arent show or competition leotards, just for classes.

the trips will make for better memories than a few toys or games that will break and have the kids asking for new ones, lol.

Ace is literally right around the corner from me and DH and his dad tell us girls not to worry about going to Ace, let the men handle that store, lol. all i can see right now is the Cosco 2-step step stool, batteries, the 24" arrow pine wreath(real or not real??) and my inlaws would try and get the small pet bed for their dachsund.

i dont think its too early. it helps me out by either adding or deleting the store from the places i have to go and that helps by them posting their add. the earlier the better!

I am so excited! I am ready to ditch the heat for the fall weather, hang up my fall and xmas decorations and cant wait for the holidays and BF to get here!
