Hmm, been looking for a better rewards card and this looks pretty solid. I did want to get a MasterCard because there are occassionally deals that you have to use a MC to get. However, the 0% APR on purchases certainly pushes this one above the Citi Dividend card IMO. Of course, I could get both... So, Brad, is this the best overall rewards card out there right now, in your opinion? I should get the full 12 months of 0% or close to it since my credit score is quite high, which would be great since I just bought a house and have a lot of expenses that I'd love to defer right now.

Couple of Flash MP3 player deals (getting warmer)
Big Smooth replied to Big Smooth's topic in Online Hot Deals
for Amazon price drops. -
Edit: Price drops on the iRivers at Amazon, the iFP-180T is now only $41.88 AR. The highly rated Sandisk 256MB Red MP3 player w/FM tuner and voice recorder is available at Buy.com for $62.99 shipped, or $57.99 with the $5 off $50 new customer coupon. Also, Amazon has the 128MB iRiver iFP-180T on clearance for $51.14 shipped AR. The 256MB version, the iRiver iFP-190T for $74.99 shipped AR. These also get good reviews, have FM tuners and voice recording... overall pretty similar to the Sandisk but some people prefer the iRiver brand. These flash-based players will probably continue to drop in price with the advent of the iPod Shuffle, but these are good prices right now so I thought I'd post 'em just in case!

Any free Carfax links right now?
Big Smooth replied to Big Smooth's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Still keeping the Sentra. The wife & I have gotten by with one car for three years, so now it's time to buy a "fun" car. Almost bought a new Miata yesterday but we had a bad experience at two dealerships. I'm almost glad that fell through, because I think we are going to get a killer deal on a silver 2001 Saab 9-3 convertible. It has 42K miles and is loaded. Supposedly a 1-owner lease return with a clean CarFax. It's being sold by a used-car broker who's a friend of my parents. They are advertising it at $16,995 which is already pretty low (a bit under Edmund's TMV) but they said they'd give it to me at $500 over cost which is $15,537! That is a seriously good deal, especially because I'm told it has 9 months/10K miles left on the factory warranty. I liked the Miata and it would probably be more reliable but this does have some advantages like much more room and luxury features. Gonna go take a look at it tonight. :) -
Any free Carfax links right now?
Big Smooth replied to Big Smooth's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Well, I think what I'll do is ask the dealer for a copy of the CarFax (which they do claim is "clean"), and if they won't give me one, I'll get the $12 report. Thanks Ross. -
I'm looking to buy a specific car in the very near future, and I know Carfax occasionally offers a free VIN report through a special link. If anyone knows if there is a current free link out there somewhere, I'd appreciate it!

You're welcome. :)

If you use the 12% off coupon for Overstock.com that's linked on the GottaDeal homepage, I believe you can get Godzilla there for $18.14 including shipping. I remember seeing it cheaper at Amazon/TRU a few weeks ago but I think they're sold out of it.

Nice! I was about to order some stuff from DeepDiscountDVD but with the coupon Overstock is cheaper, even though you don't get $1 shipping on movies. -
Nice.

BTW, Brad, how'd you get a deal on that Recepter radio? I'm a big fan of Boston Acoustics, all my main HT speakers are from them.
-
You guys are quick! :) Those are similar to the ones I found (Sears does have a GE for $30 although it's in-store pickup only). I forgot about the request-a-deal from Overstock, I'll have to search over there a little more.

Looking for a bedside clock radio w/cd player as a gift for my sister-in-law. I don't think she needs anything fancy, just the capability to wake up to a CD. I'd like to keep it under $40 which is easy enough but the trick is that I'm trying to avoid the real no-name brands. I'm not looking for something specific, I just don't want anything made by Coby, GPX, Classic, etc. (sounds snobby, I know, but since this is a gift I want to make sure it will work well plus the cheap stuff is usually pretty ugly as well). I have found a few options but any help would be appreciated. :)

Ross, you might have seen in section A of the Oregonian there is a Good Guys ad with various "coupons". I don't have it in front of me but I remember seeing the Sony KP-46WT510 for $999 and the Minolta Dimage S414 for $149. Some other % off coupons as well.

Definitely. Metroid Prime and Zelda: Wind Waker are both superb, two of the GameCube's premier titles. SSX 3, NBA Street Vol. 2, Tony Hawk's Underground, and Soul Calibur II are all excellent multi-platform sequels. F-Zero GX is a great (but tough) racing game. I haven't played Pikmin or Animal Crossing but I hear they are fun, unique games. I just ordered Mario Golf myself but that's supposed to be very good as well. There are also a number of "good" games like Mario Sunshine, Star Fox, Wario World, and Luigi's Mansion. Many of these are great for kids.
