  1. yes I though they were much better. I wondering if these were selling at 12am at a lot of stores.
  2. they had a bunch at my walmart, was able to grab 3 for the kids.
  3. I have to say I was very disappointed this year with my local walmart. Last year we had all shopping done and were out heading to the mall by 5:30. This year looked like something from the three stooges. First off I got there at my normal time at 4:15 and noticed there seemed to be a lot of cars leaving, which I've never seen there. We get into the store and see all the movies are openned up and people are going through them. Then I see that a good amount of people are walking around with sale stuff in their carts at 4:20. Last year they were throwing people out of the store for this and this year all the employees are just standing around not careing about anything or trying to stop people except on the big ticket items. Needless to say it was a massive cluster !@$% there and then having to wait 45 mins in line to check out didn't help any. I have to say I've very disappointed with them.
  4. Glad I was able to help some many out. I had a heck of a time at walmart today getting blu-rays, they were seling them at 4 am so when I got there at 4:15 they were basicly all gone. I lucked out on a restock for 3 that I ended up getting )I was only going for one and manage to get it). If i hadn't got them all the others on amazon, I would have been pretty upset.
  5. Anyone that is looking to stand in line for DVD and/or Blu-ray will want to check out Amazon to see if they have the some ones there on sale. I was able to get every blu-ray I wanted from the ads on Amazon for the same price as Walmart or Best Buy. No tax and free shipping to boot. http://www.amazon.com/DVD-Blowouts/b/ref=amb_link_86054931_2?ie=UTF8&node=12917411&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=1DY9AS1BR7ZN2NYNB6KE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=500710991&pf_rd_i=130
  6. check amazon for the dvd's they seem to be price matching walmart and bb right now on a lot of the stuff.
  7. I just got done comparing movies that are on sale for best buy and amazon either meets or beats all of thier prices expect on one that I found. You get the free shipping and no tax to boot. I'm saving $60 in taxes in shipping cost.
  8. both sears and best buy had a 42 panasonic TC-P42C1 for $499 this month. I'd wait as i'm almost sure it would go on sale again for that price. My personal experiance with Emerson leads me to not buy anything with thier name on it.
  9. Blacked shrinked wrapped and cut open at 5am for the past 3 years at my Store. I'm sure it's the same this year. The fun stuff is figure out where everything is and what will go the fastest.
  10. Any idea if bestbuy is doing free shipping again this year? I know I placed an order last year and had to call them during the day on TG to get my free shipping on the orders.
  11. thanks for pointing that one out. I was going to get the $50 at Wallyworld on friday, but for $20 more I got a better drum and guitar and a newer game.
  12. thanks, I didn't really feel like typing all that to clarify my point with the TV differences. I'm looking at a DLP for the cost saves in the screen size, but I'm going to go with the LED based one so I don't have to deal with the lamps and color wheels the bulb based ones are knowing to have issues with.
  13. Might want to check your tv types again. Any tv with a lamp and/or a ballast are bulbed based tv's, Which means either rear projection tv's or DLP tv's. Neither one accounts for this style of tv. Bulbs always have to be replaced in these styels of tv, the same as your bulb in the lamp in your house. How long they last is based on usage. Panny makes the seconds plasmas on the market right now. They currently are making the best plasmas for the price range, surprising Vizio is the second best in the same price range. LCD tv's are a whole other beast and are knowing the have some issue. As for you having a bad lcd panny, I can't attest to the LCD ones from panasonic as to how good or bad they are. Sorry to hear you are having a rough time with it though if it's truely an LCD (which based on your statement I don't think it is). BB will price match any local ad as long as they have it in stock (the local place, not BB they'll still price match even if they have to get it from the wearhouse). You just need to ask the sales person about it.
  14. I think he did the same thing I did with my math when I first started looking at tv's, 10% off the price diffence (799-699=$100), which is an additional $10. Not 10% off the normal store price which would be $79.99.
  15. Anyone who is interested in this tv would be better off to go to Best buy if you want to get an extended warrenty. I got this TV the on black friday not knowing that they would be running this the next week as a normal sale price. I could have saved $100 by going to best buy the following week and having them price match it. On top of that I would have gotten and addition 1 year on the warrentty for $199 versus $299. I was going to return the tv and get it from BB for the extra warrenty time, but there is a 15% restocking fee at sears..... So far it's been a great tv for the base price of 699. HD looks great on it and the SD and DVD looks good also.
  16. THanks a bunch I was just heading to walmart here and I had that on the list to pick up. Saved me $10.
  17. yeppers the 25% is gone on that one. I went all the way to the check out to confirm it and there wasn't any addtional discount applied to it. That sucks...
  18. have to say i was impressed, I was able to get all my dvd's adjusted back, only commment I got was, wow you are getting a lot of money back. I was so happy i ened up getting a few more dvd's and some tv cables I needed instead of going to best buy. THe CS person was even kind enough to tell me I didn't need to bring the stuff in with me (this was incase I need to do a return.) The funny thing was at 3:30 pm they still have a bunch of the stuff I had tons of the dvd's bought on monday, murphy's law....
  19. anyone know if the dvd's are different sku's on black friday at target? I know they are at walmart, but I never been to target for black friday. I'm thinking of going in and getting the house MD dvd sets (I'm thinking these would be the normal SKU on Black Friday) and some of the other cheap movies (3.98 & 5.98 ones) ahead of time and then having the price adjusted for the sale.
