Happy Three King’s Day to all who celebrate! It is still freezing in South Jersey; took the last of the inside Christmas decorations down today. The outside are still up and in some cases, under a few inches of snow... Tomorrow, we head out to Staten Island for a track meet; the venue is right off the water. Ugh, how much time do we have left?? Shopping: I have 3 more things I need to purchase in-store. Waiting for an order to ship from Amazon as UPS lost the first one and I had to reorder everything. Wrapping: I started Saturday night and I have not put a dent into it; will be some interesting nights for me this week. Baking: I haven’t even finalized the list. Once that’s done, I’ll shop and then get started. Luckily, I just bake for us and can knock it out on Saturday. I work s half day on Friday and then I am done until after the New Year. I cannot count how many times I have watched my mail man, UPS, and FedEx all just drop a package off with no attempt at knocking. Even when vehicles are in the driveway! I had to file a report with UPS last week; my street name begins with ‘F’, the street behind us always starts with ‘F’. Last week, 6 packages of mine were delivered to the street behind me; same #, different street name. Luckily my neighbor, loaded it all up and brought it right around. There’s absolutely no way I would trust the same people that lost the order to have everything by Christmas. Either pull everything that you do have and refund me the difference or give me all of my money back and allow me to attempt to purchase everything on my own. I hope you have contacted their corporate offices; I’m not one to moan and groan over every little retail issue but losing an $1100 layaway is worth placing a few calls. Both trees are up; only the main tree is decorated so far. Ran to Costco and got Kit Kittredge, American Girl, with an extra outfit and accessories for the price of the doll alone. I did this deal last year when I got my 7 plus...they have an assortment of sizes and colors for the carriers they offer but they do run out. Also, something to keep in mind; if you’re not one of the first in line you will more than likely be coming back to activate. I was third in line for an iPhone so I hung around. By the time I left, around 7:30 or so, they were already giving late afternoon appointments. I expect all of this varies depending on the location of your Sam’s Club. It’s been a few years since I actually had to stand outside for a significant amount of time. Back then, I would have had on a long sleeve Under Armour and my North Face. Now, I usually wear a t-shirt and a hoodie. The extended outlook is saying cloudy with a high of 59 and a low of 40 so I’ll be good with my t-shirt and hoodie if the forecast doesn’t change too much.
