When do you plan to start decorating for the holidays this year?
tyreejames replied to Brad's topic in 2021
Outside fall is up with the exception of my mums; hope to get those this weekend. Not doing much on the inside as we are doing some renovating right now. Hoping to be done by Thanksgiving [emoji1488] Where we are at with the work will determine if Thanksgiving decor goes up. Christmas is usually Black Friday weekend for the inside and a nice day in December for the outside. -
Shopping, toys, video games, discount, excitement, rush, dash, grab, camping, sales

No Black Friday budget, per say. As the kids get older, the wants and needs change and I have had to make my shopping trends reflect that as well. Last year probably saw me doing the least amount of actual Black Friday shopping in a decade, easily. That being said, I already know I need two tv’s, a gaming laptop, multiple video games and possibly an iPad. I am already jumping on deals I find as I do not think this will be the year to sit and wait.

Awesome prize! I remember the feeling I felt when I scored the PS5 for my son last year. -
Christmas Vacation Home Alone This Christmas A Christmas Story Christmas with The Kranks

Many thanks to my SS, Reinholt1! Of course I loved the nerds and I cannot wait to try out the markers for my Cricut. I have yet to use the writing feature so I especially appreciate this gift
-
I’ve seen a few people saying the PS5’s were being delayed from Walmart. Mine was an in store pick-up so I was able to get it Tuesday. Fingers crossed that you are able to get it!

I am pretty sure they are coasters for the cup holders in your car.

I will not be going out but it's looking like a high of 58 degrees, low of 46 degrees, and a 40% chance of rain.

$30 with a $30 purchase. I may purchase this; I stopped buying the totes several years back.

Wow! Just received my Secret Santa [emoji4] I will hold off on opening. Thanks again, SS!!
-
Oh, that sucks!

Taken directly from their Twitter I also haven’t seen anything from Microsoft saying they were not allowing in store sales. Sony, however, has said the PS5 will be sold online on launch day.
-
I will be trying for an Xbox series x tonight. Kicking myself for not anticipating my son wanting it and getting in on pre-orders. Just saw a post on a deals page I follow where GameStop says they will have a limited amount online tonight and in-store tomorrow. I will not be venturing out so it is online or bust!

I watched Christmas with The Kranks yesterday in between Halloween and Halloween 4 [emoji316][emoji316] I like the movie but really enjoyed the book!

New Jersey is mail-in for the most part this election. Election Day, itself, only disabled people will use the machines anyone else will fill out a provisional ballot. I dropped off our mail-in ballots this morning at one of our country drop-in boxes.

Where do you stop to get coffee and/or food for Black Friday line waiting?
tyreejames replied to stevierocks's topic in 2020
I always get Starbucks on my last stop; generally Target or the mall. I would wait until I got home to eat because there is nothing like Thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast. I would get a hearty breakfast and then crash, lol. -
Target announces "shopping reservations" in case of long lines
tyreejames replied to Brad's topic in 2020
None of my local Target’s are doing lines anymore but I can see how they will possibly need to go back to them once holiday shopping ramps up. Target has secured a shopper for life between the 5% red card discount, the 1% when you don’t use your red card, target circle offers, and their drive up service. I have been in Target probably twice since the pandemic began, but I pick up drive up orders on a regular basis. -
My must watch every holiday season: A Christmas Story Home Alone 1 & 2 Charlie Brown Christmas This Christmas Elf The Best Man Holiday (definite tear jerker) Not necessarily a holiday movie but we always watched it on Thanksgiving and it reminds me of times with my deceased sister: The Wiz. This move was the kick off to the holiday season for me and I couldn’t bare to watch it last year but I plan on trying this year [emoji4]

I ordered some this weekend too. [emoji4]
