I hit the local outlets last week and did really good at Nike & Under Armour...DS8 wears a particular Nike hoodie that is generally $35-50 in his size. Last year on Black Friday, I paid $25 for it...last week I got one for $13.97

Target is my must stop store; last year I believe I only purchased a handful of items but they were my 2nd stop.

I don't know what op was trying to price match but savings catcher only tracks certain categories and certain stores so there are instances where one needs to request a price match.

GameStop had stores open at both midnight and 5am Friday last year so I wonder if this means no midnight openings....they're never a must do for me but there is usually one or 2 things that I am interested in. Last year I was home before midnight Thanksgiving night and went out on Black Friday around 8am just to hit a few stores to see what was left.

I took advantage of no work today and the kids being in school (yay!) and hit up the new outlets near me. Got some great deals at Nike and Under Armour and knocked some stuff off my list.

Target to Price Match Amazon and 28 Other Stores
tyreejames replied to magickallight's topic in 2015
My state (NJ) pays sales tax now on Amazon as do many others. This price match combined with my 5% for using my redcard makes this a sweet deal. Location is not an issue for me either as I have at least 5 Targets all within 20 minutes of my home and I'm in one at least once a week. Now the crowds...you got me there! -
Several of my cards have already switched over to chip and in my experience it's not much longer than when I had to swipe. I will always use credit for the most part. Cash if lost or stolen is gone, debit is attached to my bank accounts so that will be a hassle but if a credit account is compromised I'm out of nothing but the time it takes to call the bank...

Harbor Freight 10/12/15 -
I like the idea of a new wallet with multiple gift cards; $5-10 for fast food , ice cream type places, $25-50 for her favorite clothing/accessories stores. Also, maybe a monthly subscription to posh pak or a similar box service...

I'm a points churner so I use credit and pay once it posts. We have a set budget and have a Xmas club account so there's never an issue of not knowing what we can afford to spend or over spending. On Black Friday itself, I will carry some cash for those times that the credit machine goes down and/or I come across things I wasn't necessarily planning on buying.

Another one for Kohl's! They usually have a good deal on bath towels and wash clothes with no chance of violence

Last year was the first year that there was absolutely nothing in Kmart's Thanksgiving day ad that I wanted...that had been a morning stop for years.

I opted not to renew my prime last January...while my kids miss the prime for movie and TV show watching, we have Netflix and Hulu so it's not a huge loss. I will probably sign up for a free month trial in November just for holiday shopping purchases. I don't feel like I miss it...

I picked up a few things this past weekend ahead of schedule so I guess I have officially started now

I was waiting for this post!! I've enjoyed SS so much these last 2 years. Count me in

Lol, on that note I'm glad that I'm capable of knowing the differences between 2 sets of tablets that don't remotely resemble each other. And I guess I better give myself & my husband a pat on the back since we aren't raising ungrateful children.

Judging by the specs, no. This one includes front & rear cameras as well as a better resolution. Not as good as one of the HD's picture wise but it's 7" so a little bigger than the basic 6" HD. I'm an apple girl but I just preordered one for DD5. She uses her siblings fires as well as my iPad so this should be pretty decent for her.

My best memories are the years where I went to sleep around 7-7:30 Thanksgiving night to wake up in the wee hours of the morning I would meet up with my friend; TRU was usually my 1st stop back then. Ince I left there, I would hit Walmart, Target, and end at the mall. Luckily I don't have any horror stories outside of the normal line jumpers, fights over towels, etc...

I would be happy with seeing it go to $75-80 but since it's Lego and just being released this month, I'm not getting my hopes up. I am keeping my fingers crossed though

I generally do not start shopping until October. All 4 of my children were born between July-September so I am still birthday shopping. I have my lists going though; I tend to do the bulk of my shopping the week of Black Friday.

For anyone who is interested, Lego Dimensions is available to pre-order on Amazon now...we're still undecided on which new system DS8 will be getting (Xbox one or ps4) so I won't be ordering just yet.
-
I'm interested in the I watch; for myself though. Also considering upgrading all of the kids bedroom tv's; 4k not necessary for those. Also will be getting a new gaming system; this will be the 2nd Xbox one that I am purchasing. DS19 received his the year they were released; it is his only. DS8 will be getting one this year to go in the finished basement. Those things are it as far as pricey electronics are concerned.

What's everyone's #1 Black Friday item on your list so far?

Video game systems; I have one wanting an Xbox one and another who wants the wii u...it would be great if I can swing both. -
I'm here and I have already started making mental lists! I request my kids lists in October...
