  1. Although I am a lurker, I would love on of these t-shirts!!!! I sure hope that I win one. Even if I don't, thanks to you and all the mods for this site. You save me so much $ each holiday season.
  2. My Dad wants a GPS and I thought that I would get him one for Xmas. Is this a good one and a good deal? Any help is appreciated?
  3. You should be okay but I would talk to your OB about it, too. I went last year while I was pregnant. Hit a couple of stores by myself, then had my husband and son meet me for the Target mad house, then hit a couple of stores after that by myself. I had to drink alot of fluids but still ended up with Braxton Hicks that sent me home a little earlier. After a nap and more fluids/food they stopped. My daughter was born on 2/10/09. BUT when it came time for the Xmas/after Xmas shopping my OB said no way. She was worried about the baby and was putting me on house rest. If you don't feel up to going just concentrate on on line sales. You would rather miss a few bargains and keep incubating those babies than stress yourself out for something on Black Friday. Some people can be rude.
  4. The baby clearance has started at my Target. I got two evenflo exersaucers for $14.98 each today. One is the farm one and one is the ABC one (reg. $99) They are also clearancing high chair and car seats. I am hoping to get some other deals in weeks to come, too. Anyone else's store have baby items clearancing yet?
  5. I went to the sale with my son and we were quite surprised at how crowded it was. People were hoarding the flip flops so it was hard to get any colors and sizes. Some people had carts full of them. Finally a manager stepped in and said that it was not fair to have a cart load. They were then only allowing people to get 5 pairs. I just can't believe how aggressive some people are over a $1 pair of sandals. I would have been fine to not get any. I really was there to get my son some swim trunks and rash shirts for the FL trip this summer. UGH!!!! It was like a Black Friday!!!
  6. I have a one time use code for 20% off this site. It is good until 12/20. The discount will apply on top of the sale prices that they have right now. The code is 845520224227.
  7. Thanks for this! Makes a great teacher gift. I got one for my MIL, too. $12 for a really nice gift is a great deal!
  8. My Target is at a shopping center that does not allow people to sleep out/line up until 1 hour before opening. There are times when people will meet up in the parking lot and then assign numbers to themselves. For example, when the X Box 360 came out, 24 people met at Target at midnight, assigned the 24 numbers to themselves. So, when people, like myself showed up at 7 am the next morning they all just walked to the front and "claimed" the 24 X Boxes and basically threatened all the rest of us if we tried to stay in our places. This Thanksgiving, I want to get a TV for my son's room. I can't camp out/compete with the stampede of people at Best Buy, Circuit City or Walmart because I will be pretty pregnant so I figure that Target is my best shot. If people randomly assign numbers to themselves in the Target parking lot on Thanksgiving night (then they go home and sleep because the shopping center has security/patrols that don't allow for camping out) do I have to honor their numbering system if I am there in the morning? I don't want to seem like a line cutter, but when I talked to the person in the electronics department at Target he indicated that all items are first come, first served on Black Friday. There is no numbering that the store supports. So, what say you Black Friday experts? If I get there one hour before opening and line up with those people, do we have to honor other folks who implemented a system the night before?
  9. Clearance ethics question: Do you buy something if you know it is purposely put in the wrong package? Here is the story: Baby section has a baby sling that is an internet return. I had seen it last week and was watching to see if it would get marked down anymore. The price indicated it was clearanced at $24.XX. Well, yesterday morning, someone had put the sling into a changing table cover bag and the changing table cover into the sling bag. That put the sling at $2.XX. clearanced and the changing table cover at $24.xx. I knew that was not the right package so I did not purchase it. This morning it was gone so obviously someone else did. Would you have purchased it knowing it was in the wrong package? I just felt like that was stealing. And I didn't want the cashier to question me if they looked hard enough. You all seem to know Target so well....what would you do? And if you are the one who bought the sling, you got a great deal!
  10. Does anyone know the DCI for the papasan swing? I would like to find one of those. Today, I did find: ###253030055 Bounty 12 pak towels $3 per pak ###03009006 Graco swing $29.98 (not the papasan though) ###030091761 Galloping jumperoo $17.74 I am hoping to find the papasan and the Eddie Bauer wooden high chair.
  11. The question is, how do you get them to honor the clearance price, or to give you the product at a discount? After reading this thread, I have become a converted Target end cap prowler. I have gotten some GREAT deals and it has helped alot with gifts (not just Xmas, but upcoming graduations, etc.) This morning, while strolling through, they had decorative picture frame systems (2 types, carousel and flip) with a huge sign that said Clearance $8.00 at the very top. So, I grabbed two and several other clearance items and headed to the register. Well, after having difficulty ringing some of my clearance items, the clerk just decided to be a jerk. He started not giving the discounted prices! By the time I had argued him down on two items (mechanical colored pencils for $1.48 and a Martha Stewart calendar system for $3.48) he refused to give the me picture frame systems for $8.00 because they rang up at $9.99. Now, that would be fine except for they had a huge sign on top of all of them declaring them $8.00. We went back and forth and he dug his heels in. I refused to pay the extra amount. Yes, I know that it was only $1.99 but it is the principal of the thing! So, of course my next item doesn't ring up at all. He then accused me of taking the price tag off of the items, or switching. By this point in time, the line was backing up behind me and I had to go pick my son up from karate. So, I said forget about the picture frames and the last item, rang up and got out of there. Has anyone else had the clerk treat you like you are stealing when you are just trying to get Target to honor their own clearance prices? Any advice? I really want to get those picture frame systems for the $8.00 price so I am thinking about going back there tomorrow, when I have time, and trying to get them to honor the price. Any help is appreciated!
  12. I agree! I am not even sure I understand the super secret deal stuff! I am absolutely certain that I am missing some good deals, but at this point I need to concentrate on getting Thanksgiving dinner prepped and cooked. If I get some deals on Friday...fine. If not, then oh well.
  13. You Bet! It is part of my plan for Weds. I also did some initial recon this weekend. Better to plan than to get trampled in the initial rush of confusion on Friday morning!
  14. My Borders is right next to Old Navy so I am wondering if it is worth it to drop in on Friday morning.
