  1. Do they go on clearance? They are not eligible for the coupon codes but my store has 4 bikes in the toy section with the leftover Xmas toys that are new in box. Will they clearance these? And if they do when does that clearance typically occur? Any help or thoughts is appreciated.
  2. Sorry for the delay. I was out of town at a soccer tournament with my kids and got back tonight. I will send you the tracking numbers tomorrow. I did both SS and OE, sent both items on Friday, 12/9/16.
  3. I know that most of the buying on Black Friday is for Xmas, but my daughter's birthday is right after Xmas. This year, I figured I might try to get her party decorations on sale. Do any of you know of any party stores that have BF sales? My other thought is to just buy regular merchandise on sale BF and use it for her party. Her theme is Pokemon so I am guessing some of those items might go on sale and then I can use them as cake toppers, etc. Thanks in advance for any help...
  4. We have just moved into a new home and I have three kids who all want to decorate their new rooms and the wall decals for sports teams and princesses fit the bill. Any idea if these will go on sale for BF? Does the Fathead website do BF? Any info. is appreciated.
  5. I need two of these!!! And it would be great to get them for $250-ish not $299. I like that WOOT has them...but I am going to wait and see if I can get a better deal. Makes me nervous to wait though...
  6. Winning this would be a Christmas gift to myself!!!
  7. I know that Beats are not the best sound around but how many of you would consider getting a different brand for better sound, even though your child wants Beats? Is that a deal breakers for teenagers?
  8. I wasn't sure what you meant by extras but now I know...So, I guess we do a lot. We have Elf on a Shelf and do advent calendars for all 3 kids. We watch the Polar Express DVD and have hot chocolate with it sometime around 12/23. We eat fondue on Xmas Eve after candlelight service at church. We make Xmas cookies and this year will bake enough for the neighbors, too. I will be going to school holiday program for the kinder and maybe take her to see the holiday concert at the high school. She and I will also go to the Nutcracker together because the teenage boys don't want to go. We are going to ZooLights at the Zoo and also the ICE carved ice/ice slide exhibit at National Harbor. We drive and look at a few lights shows in neighborhoods/areas. We also play a game that we made up called "lights" where you get 1 point for every house with Xmas lights or lit Xmas tree that you see. We play this as I drive soccer carpool. And of course, we decorate the house with an Xmas village and a multitude of Xmas decorations inside and I might put lights up outside this year. And get a tree and decorate it. Wow! I am tired just looking at this list!
  9. My daughter would like a chef's knife. She is 5 and wants to cut with a really sharp knife like on the cooking shows on TV. She also plans on getting both of her brothers (15) pajanimals for Xmas so they can wear them to school and the Mall "just like they say they can on TV". Needless to say neither boy is excited about being in unicorm pajanimals if she gets them. I just hope they don't sell them in stores so I when she and I go shopping she can't find them!
  10. You all have posted some great ideas! And quite a few of them I really had not thought of. The majority of the stores that you listed are located nearby so I can hit them all up. And places like Party City and the Dollar Store I forget about until it is bday party time so that was a good reminder. Thanks everyone!
  11. I think that if I go out this will be me. I have a new mall with a JC Penney's right by my house. I will go for my snow globe (assuming that they give them...) and then see what sales I can see at the Mall. There is a Target there to so much shopping done at once. And if it is dead at 3 , 4, 5 that will be great!
  12. I still have a few stores that I have to see ads from. But I do see some deals that I hope Amazon will replicate because I just won't be going out for door busters on Thanksgiving night. And I have to compare the items that I see in the ads vs. the items I already have purchased since I have taken advantage of some of the good deals already out there. It will be hard to pick just one store's ad no matter what... I still have a few stores that I have to see ads from. 13. 1. How much money do you anticipate spending the entire week of Black Friday, online and in stores combined? I will spend approximately $600. Well, no more that $750...OK, $1,000 or less if you count CyberMonday, too. 2. If you plan on shopping offline on Thanksgiving and/or Black Friday, how many different stores do you predict you'll shop at? I will shop off-line. 6 stores Macys, Kohls, Amazon, Target, Walmart, Toys R Us. 3. Do you anticipate shopping online more than last year, less than last year, or about the same as last year? Probably on-line more this year. With free shipping on a lot of the sites, I can stay warm and in my jammies with my laptop on my lap! Seems more efficient.
  14. I am hoping that some of you might have some good ideas for cheap stocking stuffers and really cheap advent calendar treats that might be around on BF. I have wooden (reusable) Advent calendars and I need some ideas for small, little treats that can go in the square boxes. I do sometimes write notes. Sometimes I leave clues from the Elf (we have the Elf on a Shelf). Someone gave me the idea of Hershey's kisses but my DD (5) won't eat those and one of my DS won't either. I saw some cute little candies at Walmart yesterday for $1 but I am hoping for a little better deal. Something like 2/$1 or 3/$1 to reduce the expense. All ideas are appreciates... Thanks in advance!
  15. I am not happy to see what you said about the wireless beats. Now I am not sure what to get. I think that 15 year olds care about the brand, but I did some reading on line and it does appear that the wireless beats can be a problem. Especially with a sound delay on iPhones. And of course, one of the boys has an IPhone. So, maybe not wireless beats for their gift? Does anyone have any suggestions for wireless headphones? Brand and store would be helpful...
  16. I, too, am looking for Beats but not the Solo wired models. I am looking for the wireless ones. I do remember last year that Beats went on sale 50% right before Xmas at I think Best Buy. The price was better than the BF price. Maybe something like that will happen this year, too?
  17. That is too funny! I can't imagine trying on clothes on BF. I have never seen anyone do that or even considered doing it myself. I would assume that if it doesn't fit, you just return it some other time.
  18. I actually fear that I might have a lot of my shopping done. I need to get my charts finalized but I have so many presents already with some of the deals that have been online and in stores. I might not need too much BF shopping. That sounds sad but I don't want to buy just to buy so maybe stocking stuffers and a few other smaller items on BF.
  19. Where is the 25% target toy coupon? i am looking of lego friends sets, too and my daughter loved the jungle base set when we saw it in the store.
  20. I think that certain stores are just not conducive to children being there for the initial BF rush. The chaotic scenes at Walmart come to mind... But other stores are just fine for kids. I mean, go to Michael's or a sporting goods store like Dick's and your kid will be fine. I usually don't bring kids with me, but one year when I was pregnant I wanted a TV from Target. My husband and son met me in the line and when the doors opened husband ran for the TV and the employees let me son get a cart early since he was a kid with a pregnant mom. I was at checkout 30 seconds after doors opened. They went home with the TV and I shopped for a little longer. The next year, I skipped bringing the newborn. I shopped, went home and nursed, then went back out. Now that I am single, the boy (16) will watch his sister if I go out. Even though I don't take my kids, I keep a watch out for other peoples kids. It is a crazy scene in the toy aisles and sometimes if kids are wandering around they just stop because something catches their eye. I figure some of us have to act in a sane fashion on BF to keep the crazies in check!
  21. I would say week of BF. Most of the ads will be released but the links to items will need to be created so people can shop the links. Plus this site will be crazy then and doesn't he usually do some media interviews, too?
  22. I am totally against it. I believe that the stores should allow their employees to have Thursday off. Then have people come in early on Friday. Even the seasonal employees will be working a lot in the store timeframe through January 1st, so one day does not hurt.
  23. Target. I would say Walmart but I don't go there on BF. Well, maybe online. And Kohls. I loved those fleece blankets they had last year so I will stock up on some more of those if they are on sale again.
  24. Yes, I sure do! As a single Mom, who else is going to shop for me? The kids will get little presents for me, but Xmas day is more about them than me. Things that I need, or good deals on clothes. Sure, I buy.
