  1. So far so good! Wal-Mart: BHG Warmer with wax cubes Memory Foam Mattress Pad Monsters University Magic Mike Carpet Cleaner Amazon: Les Mis combo pack Victoria's Secret: Hoodie Earbuds I need to go out to Wal-Mart tonight to pick up a few things that people didn't tell me they wanted until after I placed my order. They were sold out by the time I could get back to a computer. :-/ Hopefully I'll be able to snag the hard shell suitcase (for a sister that is planning on doing a lot of air travel in the next few months), a few movies, another BHG warmer, the iPad mini, and some PJs. Then I need to head over to JCP to pick up a pair of boots. I woke up around 2:30 this morning for no reason at all. I couldn't go back to sleep so I started messing around on Facebook. Thank goodness I did because that's how I found out that the sales were live!
  2. Scored a hoodie for $25. They were out of the color I wanted in the size I needed, but I'm still happy with what I got. An awesome deal!
  3. Double check your items when you get them! I placed a HUGE E.L.F. order about six weeks ago. When I opened it, I noticed there were a few things missing. I contacted customer service to let them know of the error. Their response was they would send me the rest as soon as they could. Still don't have any of it and have no idea on what the status is.
  4. Just a note... You don't spend plenty of money HERE because of the deals posted. You spend plenty of money at various retailers that have sales and specials going on. Other people post those deals here to help other people out. As far as I know, nothing is actually being sold (with the exception of shirts) on this website. Read the sizing chart next time.
  5. Do you live near a beauty supply type store like a Sally's or something of the sort? I'm only asking because if your daughter wants a really good flat iron, I have a recommendation that is 20 times better than the Chi and it's quite a bit cheaper. It's a Plugged In straightener. You can click on that and check it out. I have the same exact one. It gets hot very quickly, straightens my hair well, and has lasted FOREVER. I've had it for almost 5 years and it's still going strong. I've also dropped it more times than I can count and it has never affected it. My hair guy uses a Plugged In and said it's the only type he'll ever use because they are so reliable. I totally understand if your daughter has her heart set on a Chi (I was at that stage) but I thought I'd give you another alternative in case you were open to that. I've never seen a Chi last over two years. For that much money, I expect a lot more than 2 years of life! :-P
  6. I have one for my classroom. My students always fight over who is going to sit in it during our free time. In fact, we had to start a sign up sheet just to keep fights from breaking out.

    Store Maps

The map given wasn't accurate in my store last year. :-( Major bummer too. Thankfully we got there early enough to figure out where everything was before the huge crowds showed up.
  8. I was about to wonder what happened to the $2 towels. I thought Wal-Mart had gotten smart and decided not to sell them this year. There is a HUGE fight over them every year. One year a woman jumped on top of me (causing me to land IN the container of towels) just to cut in front of me. I see several things I'd like to buy for Christmas gifts. Hopefully I can snag them all with no problems!
  9. I'll be coming home with about 5 pairs of those $20 boots. I kind of have an addiction. :-)
  10. Picked up some different eye shadows to try. I've been having a hard time finding some that I like. I figured that it's worth a shot. Great sale!
  11. I like the 60% off. May stop in for some hoodies.
  12. We'll still go shopping. My younger sister works at JCP and will have to work that night, so it's not like we'll do anything family-oriented anyway. Last year my younger sister worked as a cashier in a restaurant and had to work both Thanksgiving and Black Friday. My dad also worked at a call center for Sprint and had to work Thanksgiving and Black Friday. It's been this way for our family for a while. We have a big Thanksgiving meal with family on Saturday now. Mom and I will just bum around the house until it's time to go shopping and then head out.
  13. I agree with the comment about the quality. I don't mind spending the money because I know they're going to last me forever. I wore the same hoodie for almost 4 years before it finally started to look even just a little worn. I'm hoping they have the same deal ($25 hoodies) this year because I definitely plan on picking up a few!

  15. The Santa Clause It's A Wonderful Life (It's not Christmas Eve if we don't watch it) Jingle All The Way (I'm pretty sure I am the only person on the planet that actually likes this movie)
  16. Every year we head down to grandma's for Thanksgiving. We always stop at a gas station along the way and grab a paper. After we eat a HUGE meal, we lay on the floor and look at the ads for the year to make some final decisions about what we definitely want to grab, what we won't be too bummed about if we miss out, and what we'll pass on. Then we hand out assignments. Usually the layout is the same every year at Wal-Mart so it's pretty easy to plan who will grab what. After we spend some time watching football and planning, we head home and bundle up. Then we head out to Wal-Mart. We divide and conquer, check out, then head back to the car. Last year we had a few hours to kill before we went to JCP but since they'll be starting about the same time as WM this year, we'll head there next. We'll also hit up any other stores in town that may spark our interest but usually WM and JCP are it for down here. After we finish up our shopping, we head home and crash for a few hours. Once we wake up, we make a big breakfast and do a little online shopping. We may head up to the mall this year to see what we can find, but that all depends on how much we spend down here.
  17. The Wal-Mart up the highway from us had such an issue with people getting in fights over movies that last year they organized them all off into one giant corral. They had everyone form a line (and monitored it closely for line jumpers) and when go time hit, they let 10 people in at a time. Each person had 2 minutes to get whatever movies they wanted, and then were escorted out of the corral. It worked pretty well. I wish they did that throughout the store. It'd save me a lot of bruises from people trying to run me over with their cart so they can grab the last set of cookware or mattress pad.
  18. I pledge to stick around all year! I love finding deals!
  19. I looked all over and couldn't find anything in the paper. Haven't been in WM since Friday morning. The guy we checked out with said the girl was a friend of his. They had taken her away in the ambulance. He didn't know much but thought she was okay when they took her to the hospital. The people that shop at that store for BF are RIDICULOUS! There was one lady who parked her cart in front of the Better Home and Garden scented wax thingy majigs. Every time someone came over to wait by them, she gave them a song and dance about how she was planning on buying most of them for women in a shelter that had nothing. Who knows if it was actually true or not (I don't know why someone would think it's okay to lie about purchasing things for a shelter) but she managed to make just about everyone who was waiting over there leave out of guilt. I still managed to grab a few and passed them out to those who wanted them but couldn't get to the pallet. I also had a lady shove me as I was trying to get away from the pallet of mattress pads and then had the nerve to tell me that I was being rude to her because I wouldn't give her MY mattress pad. All I could do was stare at her and say, "....Really?" I took my mattress pad and hid out in the aisle with the pet food until the initial madness calmed down.
  20. Couldn't find a link to an article, but a Wal-Mart employee in Farmington, MO had a seizure in the middle of the 8 PM madness. While a couple shoppers stopped to help her and call 911, many just ignored her or stepped over her to get their deals. Sad. :-(
  21. Don't be too upset that you didn't get any of those scarves. They were okay, but we had one for barely 20 minutes before it got a snag and a hole in it. Boooooo.
  22. Will add as the weekend goes on... :-) Amazon Just Dance 4 for Wii -- $12.89 (had some gift cards from a survey site that helped out on that one... got free shipping) Best Buy Helped the neighbor nab the Nabi 2 for her kid. $129.99 with free shipping! Wal-Mart Also helped the neighbor nab two of the 24 inch Orion televisions for $74. Free site to store. Memory Foam mattress pad -- $29 DVDs (Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown, last 3 Harry Potter movies) -- $2 Collage Frame -- $9 (probably a little much... I thought they were the $6 frames since they were in the cardboard display next to them, cashier said no because they were wooden and not plastic) Holiday Candle set -- $5 Mini Crock -- $3 JCPenney's (2) Queen size microfiber sheets -- $14 Memory Foam Slippers for dad -- $8 Sequin boots for sister -- $15 Riding boots for sister -- $20 Blender -- $8 I think I'm shopped out.
  23. That's what I was afraid of. :-/ It's for a neighbor of mine. She was looking for her husband and son for Christmas. I've never bought Under Armour before, so I have no clue if what Dicks has is a good price, but I passed it along to her just in case! Thanks!
  24. I'm looking for two camo Under Armour hoodies. One size small, and the other size medium. Having a lot of trouble finding a deal on them. Any help would be really appreciated! Men's sizes, please.
  25. We team up. Last year I was afraid we wouldn't find anyone, so I put a request out on Facebook to see if anyone was planning on going and wanted to team up. I had quite a few people volunteer and we all helped each other out!
