  1. This was my first year buying something big like that on the spot (usually they only have 10 and I'm stuck getting the 1 hour guarantee card... I was surprised they had 150) so I have no idea if it's normally like that, but I hope not! It was so disorganized at pick up. A guy marked our receipt and then told us to pull around the two cars in front of us to get our tv. We did what he said, then the two guys loading the tv told us they weren't going to give it to us because we pulled around. My mom was driving and trying to show them our receipt and we kept saying the guy told us to pull around, but they didn't want to hear it. They finally gave in after a few more words from mom and loaded up our tv. What a mess!

  3. We waited an hour in that line. It was totally wrapped around the building.
  4. They were Emerson's here. They had 150 of them at my store. We were really surprised.
  5. Got it! Had to just add it to my cart and the price changed.
  6. The price on the Corelle still hasn't changed. I'm so ready to go to bed. :-(
  7. I may check back for the yoga leggings later, but I'm not in dire need now that I found the other stuff. I'm happy to see they put some hoodies on sale. I did not like that crew sweatshirt that they are selling tomorrow.
  8. Looks like they're having an online exclusive for Thanksgiving Day only. $25 PINK hoodies and boyfriend pants. I was just able to place an order. Plus you can get $15 off $100 and free shipping if your order is at least $30.
  9. How do I get access to the Black Friday stuff? I have an Angel card but can't figure it out.
  10. 1) Girl in the back of the line: "I thought we’d be okay getting here an hour before the store opened…" 2) “Tag team me in! Tag team me in!!!” 3) “Why did I try to line jump? Now I’m left with NOTHING!!”
  11. Back to School is 90% in some spots. Picked up Post It packs for 10 cents each, glue bottles for 3 cents each, and single subject notebooks for 6 cents each. I teach so I was able to really stock up for the rest of the year and probably most of next year too. Binders were 50% still and they were starting to salvage those as I got there around 12:30 this morning. I managed to pick up a couple before they could get to them.
  12. Check your gift card balances if you got one of the one hour guarantee items that came with a gift card. My mom went to use hers last night and it had a balance of $0 on it. She spoke with two different customer service reps in store and they both basically accused her of trying to steal from them. They let her use the store phone to call customer service. After being hung up on by customer service twice, she went home to battle it out there. She was hung up on twice more before she gave up for the night. The issue still hasn't been resolved.
  13. Scratch off lottery tickets. They're always popular at the parties we go to. People fight over them.
  14. I sent an email asking about them being in store only. Was told they're out of stock online, but to keep checking back. I have a feeling they'll suddenly be "in stock" when the price goes back up.
  15. Figures the STL Cardinals ones would be in stores only. :-(
  16. Our Wal-Mart had at least 4 bins full of sheets left. Normally people fight over those so I was surprised there were any left. They had the price marked at $24.96.
  17. I loved being able to have lunch, rest for a couple hours, then go out and get my shopping done. We were back at the house by 11 and able to get a full night of rest. We woke up on Friday refreshed and went back out to see what was leftover, then got some other stuff done.
  18. I ordered a Christmas gift very early on Thanksgiving morning from them. Not even 3 hours later, the person I bought it for changed their mind and said they didn't want it. I tried to cancel the order, but got the same message as shopping4my3son. I still haven't heard one way or the other if my order has been canceled. It still says "Processing." Same thing happened with Amazon, but they immediately emailed me after the first email and said it was too late. Darn. Oh well. I guess I'll just return.
  19. I really like how Wal-Mart had everything set up. It was very organized, fair, and safe for the most part. There were a couple moments that the tension was high, but most everyone got what they wanted. There was a small issue of only having 6 Playstations available, but everyone got a guarantee for it so no one was too upset. For as many people to claim they were boycotting the stores that opened on Thursday, it sure didn't feel like it. The store was packed. I also loved the wristband system. It made everything very fair. However, it seemed like a lot of people showed up at noon, got a wristband for something, and then never came back. It ended up defeating the whole purpose.
  20. They were all out by 8 PM on Thursday night. I don't know why, but they went fast. We picked up 2 as Christmas gifts, but didn't think it'd be that popular.
  21. The final count!!! Wal-Mart Carpet cleaner (x2) BHG Warmer kit Monsters University (x2) Magic Mike Rudolph movie Frosty movie Hangover II iPad mini 32 inch cheapo television Hard shell suitcase George Foreman grill HP Printer Little girls pajamas (x6) Call of Duty Ghost Creed of Assassins IV Barbies (x2) Shapie packs (x2) How I Met Your Mother (Seasons 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8) Amazon Les Mis Just Dance 2014 Victoria's Secret Ear Buds $25 hoodie JCP 2 pairs of $30 boots I think I am officially done! I had ended up with a guarantee card for that television, but around 7 I went back to see if any had not been claimed. There were about 9 left. I asked how much longer those people had and they said the sales associate told me they told everyone 8 PM, but I was welcome to wait in line just in case. I had nothing else to do so I went ahead and sat There was one other person in line (thankfully someone I knew) so I sat down behind her. Of course, none of those people showed up for their tv so we both got one!

    wrist bands?

We were running late yesterday and got to Wal-Mart around 5. The sales associates for the 32 inch TV line said he had given out his wristbands by 3. He started handing out 1 hour guarantee cards at that point. We were able to get a card (at 5) and went to get in line for the iPad mini. Those wristbands were also long gone (no surprise) but the sales associate told us he wasn't allowed to give out the guarantee cards until 6. I guess the bright side about people going to get the wristbands so early was people had time to go home and think about if they really wanted it or not. Around 7 I went over and they still had about 9 left. They told me that they had to give them until 8 to show up and claim them, but I was welcome to wait in line. Sure enough, none of those people showed up and I was able to get one! They did have 1 iPad left, but there were really weird circumstances surrounding it. A guy was in line for it, but the store wouldn't sell it to him. They said a lady called the store and said there should be an iPad for her. She had bought stuff, paid for the iPad, but didn't take it with her. She was going to take her stuff home and then come back for it. It sounds really weird and sketchy, but the manager said they had to let the lady come back for it. The story didn't make sense though. Why would you check out with something (and how could you even ring it up?) without having the actual item? And then why would leave with everything but that? All in all, I liked the wristbands. It made everything very fair.
  23. We're pretty small too, but they were absolutely gone within minutes. Women walked away with 10 - 15 each. A woman behind us in line had her cart half full with those alone and she said that she was buying them "just in case" she ever needed them. People are ridiculously mean when it comes to Black Friday at the Wal-Mart here. Very much the attitude of, "Even if I don't need it, I'll buy it so no one else can have it." I remember they had the collage picture frames a couple years ago and people pushed and shoved over them. I remember meeting up with my family in an abandoned aisle to go through what we had grabbed. I wasn't able to grab a collage frame, but I noticed that a woman about 3 feet away from us had 6 in her cart. She was counting them and listing off what she was going to do with each one. She pulled one out of her cart and told her son (who must have been 10 or 11) that she didn't need that one and he should go put it back somewhere. As the boy started to put it up, I said, "Ma'am, if you don't want that, do you mind if I have it? I need one and didn't get a chance to grab one." She gave me the stink eye and said, "I think I'm actually going to keep it." She yanked it away from her son and put it back in her cart. I don't know why, but I remember walking away feeling really embarrassed. I was just about out of the aisle when I heard someone behind me yell, "Wait! Miss, I want you to have this!" It was the little boy with the collage frame in his hand. He had it in my hands and was running back to an angry mother before I could say anything. Unfortunately, it seems like the majority of shoppers are like that mother. They would rather buy it and return it later than put it up and see someone else walk away with it.
  24. I doubt I'll even get near one this year. The women here fought over them last year. Such a weird thing to fight over, IMO.
