  1. Helllllloooooo September! Man it is that time of year again. We need to be making list and checking them twice because on BF we will see who has been naughty and who played nice. Not sure what I need this year but I am going to put me at the top of the list this year. I am buying for me first. 👍

Finally back from vacation after our cruise ship broke down. We waited for them to get us back to London from Germany and moor flight home. Had to rebook another flight one way last minute. That was expensive. Glad the cruise line is reimbursing us. It took 5 days instead of 2 to get home and a lot of stress. Glad we can laugh about it now

    o my....

  3. Made homemade bone meal from the spent bones after making poultry bone broth in the Instant Pot. I’m going to let it sit for about a month see if the meat smell diminishes before I use it when I transplant my tomatoes. First time trying it; we’ll see if it attracts critters to the garden bed.

  4. Happy March! My daughter, Kendall, finished up her luge season this past weekend, culminating in Youth Nationals, the National Championships. She was supposed to race in her age group, and her coach bumped her up to the next age group, to make it a challenge rather than a gimme. She placed 6th out of 12. She is 13, racing against 14-16 year olds who are older, bigger, and more experienced than her, and we are so proud of her hard work this season! Per her coach, she will likely be promoted to the next level team when team selection is released on May 1, setting her one step closer to becoming a future Olympian. I'm going to need a LOT more deals, if we're going to afford this, lol.attachicon.gifIMG_20230305_130147616_BURST001.jpgattachicon.gifDSC_6990%20(2).jpgattachicon.gifdsc_6785.jpg

This one of my favorite winter Olympic sports. Super proud of her!

  5. Checking in for this month. Can't believe how fast Feb. is flying by. Had a weekend getaway in Savanah this past weekend. Picked up a few stocking stuffers while I was there.

I have been wanting to go back to Savannah for a while. I love the atmosphere and the river front. Tybee Island is my favorite part of the trip but there sand is hard on the feet.

  6. Happy February! My daughter just won a silver medal this morning in the Empire State Winter Games, held in Lake Placid, NY. The weather is brutal, with the wind chill currently around -40 degrees. The race was originally supposed to be tomorrow morning, but was moved to today, because tomorrow's wind chill will be worse. She is currently an athlete on the USA Luge Jr. National Development Team. attachicon.gifIMG_20230203_141136_198.jpg

Congrats. That's wonderful. I love the Winter Games.

Thank you so much jesusluvu!!!! This Christmas has definitely been different!!!! I live in WNY (yup, THAT city [emoji23]) and we were hit with that big storm!!!! I was literally stuck in my house by myself since the Friday before Christmas and not able to spend time with family or my kids… my daughter along with a neighbor’s son finally shoveled me out after the driving ban was lifted yesterday!!!! Annnnd this weekend is supposed to be Spring like weather [emoji19] (snow already melting)…

It’s never about the gifts under the tree for me… But I’m grateful for the gift of life! I’m safe, my children/family were safe, I never lost power and had heat and plenty of food so I made my Christmas dinner and ate it while watching movies (I froze some for my son and his wife until they can get to me)…my daughter’s power went out, but she was safe in a house with power, heat and food… my boys were safe as well… I still have a ton of gifts under my tree, but I can celebrate Christmas anytime!!!!

Wow.... I am so glad you are safe and everyone else as well. I tell people all the time that Christmas is what and WHEN you make it. So it may not be on the 25th or even in December. I am just thankful that you made it through.
