I told my kids about how Santa (Once a real person had a vision to see that all the children had a little something for Christmas be it fruit and little toy, or nuts etc) came to be, and how he still lives on in spirit and through the parents making his vision carry forward. I also made sure they know the real meaning behind Christmas and they also support an Angel tree child or needy family with the Church.

I have an AG doll and unless they changed something about the hair they do knot up. Mine was put up and stored away then when DD was about 10 I gave it to her. DD still has it but her hair is all knoted. The AG Kirsten. However mine was from the late 80's right after they came out.

How about a GC to a local bowling alley or the movies. Or purchase a dvd and theme around the dvd. IE Kung fu Panda - and then include gummy bears, a barrel of monkeys (are these even still made), animal crackers, bug juice, chocolate turtles etc.
