I would hit the walmart supercenter early scope it out (if you have a supercenter) find out about how many they have.. if thats what you want... and the supply is limited ( AS i know SC get more than the Reg stores) and then wait in electronics for that item.
I've purchased items from Michaels several times. I have bought wedding supplies, christmas and craft supplies there. The coupons in the sundays paper will very between 20 and 40 % off an item and I've didn't know about the coupon the the cashier would always still use the coupon code.
very easy to shop for the DH even if hes with me... when it gets near the checkout time.. he goes off to the Video Games / bathroom gets a drink etc and i've already thrown his gift in the bottom of the basket.
I will pick up the stuff for a friend that works at walmart if I am in there before she gets off, so when she gets off all she has to do is run through the check out.
I think this is a good price. I am glad my kids were a little older when these came out. We went through they everything Barney fad with my now 12 year old.
I feel there is nothing wrong with regifting as long as it is still new in the box or package and has not been reopened.
Why not take a 1 subject notebook and write down who gave what so if you do regift, the to/from tag doesn't get left on the box.
CG are good options for family members and friends that live far away and for those who ask for stuff that you would have to haul home from home depot.
My uncle wanted Cork Board one year (he was redoing his workshop) so I bought cork board, had to have it at my parents house for christmas that year, then he had to haul it 4 hours home.... I say that home depot card would have worked Great at that time.
