  1. My local Supercenter is closing at 6pm and reopening at 5 am.
  2. I remember a few years ago... my delivered paper didn't have all of the ads. Only stores within a certain amount of miles from me. The store bought paper had EVERY ad. Now every TG morning, I go out to QuikTrip to get the paper and some taquitos off of the hot pan.
  3. My wife got the word from the manager in electronics. I am getting there at midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. They talked about Walmart pricematching this morning on the news. The items must be identical.
  5. I hate it when greedy resellers buy up all of the systems to try to make a quick buck... and all of the people who REALLY want to own one can't find a system anywhere.
  6. $378 in Glendale, AZ
  7. Fry's ads vary by state.... so unless Brad gets the sales for every state, i doubt it.
  8. The 3 major competing technologies in wireless communications are: GSM - Cingular , T-Mobile CDMA - Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, USCellular, Cricket & MetroPCS iDEN - Nextel GSM is a popular wireless technology that dominates in most of the world except the USA. GSM Phones use "smart chips" or "SIM cards" that identify you and your account on the network. You can also store your contacts on the card and swap card from 1 GSM phone to another on the fly. The phone that you use your SIM card in must be unlocked or the phone must be branded the same as your carrier (If you have a Cingular account, the the lock phone must be a cingular phone). I personally don't like the "robotic voices" of poeple when you talk on a GSM phone. CDMA is the dominant technology in the US and Korea. Technically speaking, CDMA is superior to GSM. Faster DATA speeds (now that EV-DO has launched) means high quality streaming video to your phones. The downside is that CDMA has no "SIM card" in it's phones (at least in the USA). The carriers don't want to lose control of what phone you are using on their network. iDEN is an aging technology that was created by Motorola and adopted by Nextel. The network is "busting at the seems" and cannot be upgraded easily. This is the reason that Sprint and Nextel merger happened. Sprint gained all of Nextel's customers and will eventually ween them off of the iDEN network and over to CDMA by 2010 when they will then shut off the Nextel network and most likely selling it to the Department of Defense. If you ever travel abroad and would like to easily use your existing phone, then I recommend GSM (A Quad BAND Phone) If you never leave the USA, I say a CDMA carrier is best as far as coverage and data features. Many CDMA Phones are triband and roam on the really old analog cellular networks (Think "Saved by the Bell Zack Morris's BRICK cell phone"). Analog networks are still operating in rural areas for roaming purposes. GSM phones don't use analog at all. Keep in mind, your data, voicemail icon or txt messages don't work when roaming onto analog networks. Also... a note about MVNO's. MVNO's are MOBILE VIRTUAL NETWORK OPERATORS. Many prepaids are MVNO's. They sign agreement with the big carriers to use their network for the service, but operate under their own brand. Some other pre-paids are run by the carriers themselves. The Popular ones are usually the most expensive. If you MUST go prepaid you might wanna try one of the new mom n pop MVNO's that are emerging. STi Mobile, Page Plus or Beyond Wireless is cheaper than any of the big guys.
  9. Fry's Electronics ads are not the same in all states. So pinning down a BF ads for them would be tough. Check out this website though... http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com
  10. The best time to buy toys is in August at Amazon.com (ToysRUS.com). Lots of clearance with free shipping.
  11. All I know is that I work for a "conventional" gorcery store and I make $14.97 per hour to stock produce. The same job at Walmart only pays about $9 per hour. My company tries to discourage us from shopping Walmart... but when it comes to Black Friday... all stores are fair game to me!
  12. bump
  13. Are these after rebates?

    Gender Poll

Just wanna see who's dominating the BF forums. or
  15. Anyone know if this is only with a new wireless phone activation or on it's own. It makes me wonder... because this thing is $59.99 regularly, and $50 off is quite a rebate on it's own. Usually when it comes to wireless phones and accessories, retailers only give away the farm if you are signing a new contract of service.
  16. No offense, but good luck with that. If you really wanted to keep in touch with walkies, you need to spend at least $100 on a decent set. Preferably Motorolas. In fact... this is why Nextel Direct Connect is perfect for BF shoppers. Nationwide walkie talkies!
  17. Does the Toshiba cost $399 after rebate? Or $399 in-store?
  18. I work for a grocery store. BF is typically the SLOWEST day for us because everyone is out shopping at the mall or department stores. Getting the day off is not a problem.
  19. On the BF main page, in the spot where you put your email address to register for email notifications, instead put this into the field: yourphonenumber@teleflip.com Example: 6025551234@teleflip.com If you do this, everytime Gottadeal sends out an email about a new ad posted, you will get a text message on your phone about it. *Standard Text Messaging rates apply.
  20. Just a reminder... this ad is for THANKGIVING DAY, not BF! Still some good deals though.
  21. I remember 2 years ago, they had a $500 computer and $27 Apex DVD player... they had PALLETS of these items throughout the entire store. The computer was even clearanced out a few days laster for $40 off. Walmart always has PLENTY. Its Kmart that requires the camping. 10-20 of each item... thats it. When I go to Kmart on BF... I RUN to those items.
  22. They must be super secretive this year! EDIT: I didn't see the other thread about this. Title was kinda misleading.
  23. Last year, I got all of my BF Kohls items on Kohls.com. They had the earlybird specials and I could buy them at midnite Arizona time because of time zone differances. I bought my Kohls stuff online, then camped in front of Walmart.
  24. Well... My wife's availablity is GRAVE YARD 10am to 6am. I will grab the items and she will be off in time to get them rung up during the early bird times.
