I always host my Dad's side of the family two weeks before Thanksgiving! Guess what I am doing today??!! On the actual holiday, we just have my parents and in-laws. Very small and relaxed...

Expensive hair care products.....Burt's Bees bag that usually goes on sale. Gift cards for hair salon....also gift cards for those really cool unique shops/restaurants in our area. Places that they wouldn't want to spend their own money to try!

My son is 13. We discovered Loot Crate. (Monthly package delivery of theme related items). Price isn't too bad. He loves it. Make sure you research it first and see if it is something worth your money though........

Really wanted more from Under Armour than just specific clothing items........also looking for deals on sweaters for work. Prices just weren't were I wanted them to be. The last few years I have gotten such deals on clothes.

I could have written this!!!!!!!!!! Crying all week. I really miss my kids being little... My husband and I have decided to get an Elf on the Shelf and start a new tradition. But we are going to do it "our style". More in the thoughts that would be for teens....and if they don't like it, WE will have fun!

Yes, I miss the 5am opening. It used to be my husband and I going out, shopping, and then eating breakfast. Crowds are different now. No more FUN or Christmas spirit.......a lot of stress and exhausted people. I didn't see a lot of people smiling last year......sad.

Funny story....my son saw this and said..."Hey you should buy this for when I get a serious girlfriend!".......So, I did!

I actually liked the late night. Didn't think I would. There were teens but they were fine. Just sitting and watching. I won 2 $100 NY and Co. gift certificates as our mall doorbuster! Didn't buy a lot but I go just for the experience. Worst line and crowd was our Victoria Secret store....rude and impatient. Thank god I have boys and I can't ever imagine being able to fit in anything from that store!

Black Friday was a tradition that was enjoyed by my husband and me only. Kids would leave with Gramma and we would enjoy wine while making our game plan. THis will no doubt be our last year. We did our normal 5am last year and NO ONE was out. Stores were empty. I am thinking...have 2 galsses of wine and shop online!

So, last year I posted how my kids were older, traditions changing, schedules are busy......here is my new tradition! My sons are 15 and 11....bought an Elf on the Shelf. Instead of the normal Elf activity, our Elf will hold "presents" each morning. Some with names on them some with both names...simple things like......gum, ice cream, cool pencils for school, pizza night that is unexpected, things that older kids like but not that cost a lot of money..... The Great Pumpkin came at Halloween with ITunes instead of candy and they LOVED it......gotta change with the times!!!!!

Please tip your stylist.....they are losing money on this promotion and those like it. They are rated according to people who re-book appointments. Hours scheduled depend on this! I have been going to the same stylist for over 20 years. It took her almost 3 weeks to get me in due to these appointments.

I am seriously thinking of doing The Elf On The Shelf with my older kids. (I hope you can figure out what the elf would do at our house!)..I have teens. That Elf would be into everything!!!!!!!!!!

We have already done a lot for this family. It is just so sad.....the things we take for granted.

I have a student who is an orphan and is living with an aunt. HORRIBLE situation for her. Today, she randomly comes up and asks if I am familiar with Black Friday. We begin to talk and I mention this website. She becomes so excited...we talk and talk. Then she tells me that she has earned $200.00 and is waiting for Black Friday so she can give her sister the best Christmas EVER. UGH! I had to fight back the tears. WOW......just WOW.
