Well, one thing we have to remember is this is the Fall "season". The Winter "season" starts December 21. Usually store will put on a really good sale on Christmas Eve if you can wait that long. I don't like to push it. As for the words "holiday season", we did just have Veterans Day holiday and Thanksgiving will be next. They aren't really specific about what holiday they are talking about. I think it is all a gimmick to get you in the store.

I have always had good experience with Sears. They have always had what I wanted in stock. Maybe it's just luck or I am not looking for the "hot" ticket items. But we always spread out and one goes for one thing and the others go for something else. Then we meet up to check out.

I wondered about that too. I hope to see a couple of ads but I don't remember seeing any last year but I wasn't looking either.

Does anyone know if these deals are better than the ones you can get on BF????? Just wondering if it is worth checking it out now or if I should just hold out. TRU BF AD....WHERE ARE YOU?????

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I didn't want to take DS so I wasn't going to go but luckily Nana has decided to take off that day and keep him ! Yaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! So I get to go. Only thing is I will have to do her shopping too. But that doesn't seem like a bad trade.

I hate the check out lines too. Worse than waiting to get in. Having someone to wait in line is a good idea though. I hadn't thought about that. I just wonder how many people get pissed off about it. You know how grumpy people are in the morning.

Everytime I log on and see how many days are left I can't help but singing in my head......It's the final countdown....... lol

In addition to pp's Rite-Aid & CVS is usually open. They have good deals sometimes too.

I don't have one personally but I have a friend that does. She used it a few times and says that it is dull and starting to rust. She advised me that it wasn't worth buying.

I went for the first time last year and it was great. I got what I went for plus a few other items that were on sale that I didn't know about. It is definately worth going if they have what you are looking for. Plus the crowd is not near as bad as BF.

I remember last year people on here talking about laying BF items away before BF. Then going in on BF to pick up the layaway and getting a price adjustment that day. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Sounds like a good way to make sure you get the deal you want without the crowds early in the a.m.

If your like me you can't forget the Furbabies for Christmas. Does anyone know if Petsmart has a BF sale? I don't recall ever seeing an ad for it but we haven't had one in our area until this year so that may be why.

Does anyone know if BB had any better deal on laptops than other stores? What brand were they & how much were they? We didn't have a BB in our area until this year so I am thinking about going. Is it worth it?

Most stores will allow you at least 90 days to exchange it. Some only allow complete returns within 30 days. I would make sure you know the stores policy before you buy it there. And make sure you keep the receipt.

There have actually been fist fights break out at our local WM. They let everyone in to stand next to the items that are covered in black plastic. People push and shove and act like idiots.

O.k. I am at a dilemma. I am not sure if I will have anybody to watch ds on BF. I really don't like the idea of taking him along but I don't want to miss the good deals. (He's too little to really realize I am shopping for him.) Does it aggravate you when people drag their kids out at such an early time?

I always get things for my Mom since she usually has to work. People do think I'm crazy but they are amazed at the deals I find.

I have never been to TRU for BF. Now that I have a son I am def thinking about going. Are the deals really worth going for? How crazy is BF? I bet it is a mad house.

My Mom bought a tv for my nephew and it didn't work. She took it back and exchanged it with no problem at all. I would keep the box though just in case.
