  1. my local 24hr walmart has the items wrapped on pallet in the main isles of the store. and at 5am when the sale starts the employees that guard the pallets rip them open when someone gives the ok over their walkie talkies. so you could actually be standing right next to the items you want and just grab them after they open them.

Same in Louisville. They often put things in weird places. For example, last year... the Emerson LCD TV was in the grocery department while some of the DVD's and things were in the automotive department or jewelry... can't remember which.

  2. Just wondering who all participated in the awesome contests, put on by Gottadeal.com in 2008 for T-Shirts, etc? Did you win? What contest? I know a questionare was put out last year but what were/are some thoughts on possible contest(s) this year? :D

I WON!! :D I don't remember what contest it was though. lol. Fail. I love the shirt... wear it often actually.

  3. I've found that the deals in these three tend to be better starting the day after Christmas. My kids have gotten gift cards from relatives the past few years and end up getting a ton of stuff on clearance right after the holidays.

I ALWAYS go to Abercrombie, Hollister, and AE on BF and the Day after Christmas. All 3 have AWESOME sales on both days. Express does good sales on the Day after Christmas as well. Pac Sun (if your into that crowd) is good on BF as is Hot Topic (which kinda scares me) :P

  4. Most stores will do "something" on BF. No matter if it's the smallest sale, or the largest giveaway item, it all adds up.

When I think of a store that doesn't do "much" for BF... I think of Apple. (Unfortunately).

The great sales will always be at your big name stores, BB, WalMart, Target, Sears, etc...

  5. ok, forgive me in advance for asking a stupid question, but .....is the netbook different from say, a mini laptop (or any laptop for that matter) ; is it strictly used for the web and nothing else?

Here's the short and sweet answer....

Netbooks (sometimes referred to as mini notebooks or subnotebooks) are a rapidly evolving category of small, light and inexpensive laptop computers suited for general computing and accessing web-based applications; they are often marketed as "companion devices," that is, to augment a user's other computer access. Walt Mossberg called them a "relatively new category of small, light, minimalist and cheap laptops." By August 2009, CNET called netbooks "nothing more than smaller, cheaper notebooks." -- From Wikipedia.
