  3. Wow...that was a neat and unique gift! Enjoy!!!!
  4. Hooray, I got my secret santa gift today. Do you TOTALLY know me? You MUST!!! I received THREE antibacterial christmas scent hand soaps from bath & body works-I love these, and I usually buy them, as a treat for myself, but we've been out for a month or so!, a bag of milk chocolate lindt lindor truffles (I don't care for dark chocolate, and I always give those to my husband---but this time I get to enjoy them myself too! , hooray! There are 2 books to read with my little boys, a nice pair of christmas socks, and a glade pumkin pie candle. There is NOTHING here that I won't thoroughly enjoy. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Due to the shipping label-I know the real name of the person who sent it to me, but it will be a great surprise to find out who she is on GottaDeal! Thanks again, and Merry Christmas to you as well!!!!!!!! I'll post a picture when I get flickr up and running for me. (My brother taught me how I can post pictures on here... )
  5. Wow...I thought Mannheim Steamroller was getting pretty popular. I guess it really is "me and my mom's special thing!".
  6. my mom always made the hilshire farms lil' smokies in BBQ sauce and served them with toothpicks. She also made this: she layed out a piece of lunchmeat ham or turkey, spread it with cream cheese, and rolled up a dill pickle spear in it, and cut each rolled spear into about 4 pieces and stuck a toothpick into each piece and arranged them on a plate. It might sound strange, but they were pretty good, and kids and people usually dig appetizers with toothpicks! They are easy to eat and enjoy.
  7. Sorry- but I didn't like it. My boys ages 3 & 4 lost interest after 5 minutes. Well--it didn't help that half of the show time was commercials.
  8. It is on right now...8pm pacific time. ABC. I went to watch "the year without a Santa Claus, but it must have been on earlier due to the time zones? But that's ok, because Charlie Brown is on!
  9. I love wearing Christmas socks...the kids get SUCH a kick out of them! They seem to think I put them on just to make THEM happy. I don't really know where to get them for cheap...it's just one of those things you just have to see and buy spur of the moment. I might head to the dollar store this week, and if I see any in the mean time, I'll let you know where... GOOD LUCK!!!
  10. Hi, Are any of you big Mannheim Steamroller fans? I'm 30, and I've been listening to them since I was at least 12 or so...so to me it's a big part of Christmas. They come to my area every 2-4 years on tour before Christmas, and me and my mom go together...it is "our thing". We just went last night (Sun. Dec. 2nd.) at the Comcast Arena at the Everett Events Center. It was great, and I wondered if any of you are catching the tour in your cities as well?
  11. Same thoughts here...
  12. Wow...you guys all spend a lot on your kids. Your kids are lucky!

  14. I buy treats and a new squeaky toy for my big dog, and a bird snack seed treat for the parakeet. I'm hit & miss each year on buying for "family" dogs. I don't think I will this year.
  15. There are all kinds of cute things on the christmas section aisles now just for that purpose. My mom is giving my brother and his wife $ this year, and she bought really cute little bags about 4-5 inches tall at Bath & Body Works that had ribbon handles and pink & red peppermint glitter candies on them. They were $1.00 each, and are really cute. That way it still sort of feel like a "present".
  16. WOW- the 4 I quesitoned were right, and I only missed THREE! (Does this mean I'm a Christmas Song-a-holic?????) Thanks-that was fun!

(Then I'll check them!!!!!!!!!) Why did I just spend 20 precious minutes of naptimeon this?!?!?!)
  18. I know, aren't they? That was why I just HAD to look it up online and post the picture link for everyone to see...my secret ornament person deserves for everyone to see and enjoy!!! They might stay out as "year round" decorations. They are sitting in the kitchen as decorations, but I should get them to the tree. They are just too cute, I like looking at them!
  19. Oh my goodnes... I'll look up some of our favorites and send them after nap time. I'm so sorry!!! You sound so sad! Just hug your husband ALL DAY LONG! That will be a good way to spend the day!
  20. http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=260205&CategoryID=31474&cm_mmc=bazaarvoice-_-RLP-_-260205-_-description_link Here is a photo of the two cute Buri Animal Ornaments I received today. The photo shows 4, but I got the two in the middle---the racoon and fox. Aren't they CUTE? Thank you so much whoever bought them for me! I like them. For the rest of you: my package came from: The ornament Fairy One Gottadeal B.F. USA I thought that was creative! Inside, the card says: I couldn't decide, so I got both. I got unbreakable due to the boys. Hope you like them. Well-I do! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!
  21. I don't see why a pastor's wife shouldn't indulge in "sensual" lotions! Maybe the sermon will be extra good on the Sunday after she receives it!! If the pastor is like any other husband, he'll "smile and nod" when he reads the name of it!
  22. I just printed labels for the SS and Ornament. So unfortunately I cannot hide my name! But I guess you can't match me up with my GottaDeal name...so it might not matter?!?!? They are going out today (sat). I just PM'd Eve the Conf. #'s. FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN! FUN!
  23. Sometimes I wrap them in a roll with ribbons on the ends to look like tootsie rolls too! (like mom2monkiesx3 mentioned!) But this year, I did the cute shirt boxes, tied cute with bows and ribbons, and taped a chocolate santa on the box. I did that for the adults too!!!!!!! For nieces I usually stick in a bubble bath or fun lip gloss too. (Reeses's Peanut Butter Cup Lip Glosses were a hit last year!).
  24. That is INCREDIBLY RIDICULOUS! You have every right to be ANGRY!!!!!!! Sounds very silly to me. Return the DVD, re-ring the DVD - Done!
  25. I'll be hand-delivering this time... So yes...I could just write a big Merry Christmas on the front, and I think I'll just go ahead with their first names inside, since they know I'm the one actually doing/giving the card---not my husband. You are right about the mailing part, I'd have to use their names on the envelope anyway, but since I'm hand-delivering, I guess that's what made me stop and think more of it this time around...
