  1. Now THAT'S what I call celebrating! Happy Bday!!! (on Tgiving, that is)
  2. OF COURSE there would be something about it on wikipedia... haha!!! priceless!!
  3. haha, some of those are so funny! Thanks for the list jim! I'll be back many times to check out more of those!
  4. haha, and i would've thought that $500 was alot! haha!
  5. Yeah, I'm kinda thinking that it just varies for me. Last year we didn't spend much at all, because we didn't get any 'big ticket' items. Probably spent under $50. This year, on the other hand, we need a new computer AND a new digital camera, so I expect we'll easily spend a few hundred $$$. Hopefully there'll be some SWEET deals on those items... (fingers crossed). Can't wait!!!
  6. I noticed this question brought up in another BF thread and it got me thinking. Now I'm curious on how much y'all typically spend on BF. Do you have a predetermined set amount each year or do you just decide as you shop? Does it depend on the ads? Does it vary from year to year or is it usually fairly consistent??? Let's hear it! (I'm still thinking about my answers...)
  7. For me, it all depends on the items in the ads for how much I spend. It could vary immensely.
  8. yeah, i think this is the case with most of us. I know I can't 100% guarantee on a starting time myself until I've seen the ads! But, with that said, I'm still pretty sure that I'll be out there pretty early on BF eve... aka Tgiving.
  9. Seriously, I bet 9 out of 10 people would LOVE shopping on BF if they'd just give it a shot! I mean, yeah it seems crazy looking in from the outside, but once you experience that rush, that excitement, the thrill of the chase, you can't imagine NOT going out on BF.
  10. I'd say go with the PSP. Yeah, it's a bit more expensive, but it'll get more use as your son gets older. If you don't want to spend the extra $$$, then go with the Gameboy. I'm sure he'll be ecstatic with whichever one you decide on.
  11. I think it all depends on what the stores have to offer that year. If there's alot more stores that I need to hit up, then I'll be out later and vice versa. I'd say that typically we're done in the early evening around 5pm or so. Sometimes earlier.
  12. You gotta keep your eyes open for some of those grannies. They mean business and they'll do anything to get what they came for, including knocking you over into a endcap of Elmo toys if you get in their way...
  13. a PS3??? haha, j/j how much are you looking to spend?
  14. haha, looks like you were the 'victim' of perfect timing. couldn't get much more lucky there!
  15. i think it kinda just depends on the situation and the person who's asking. i will pick up Christmas gifts for family members though, if its something that applies.
  16. gotta love it when you just KNOW that you've converted someone!!! especially someone who swore it off forever in years past...
  17. My lovely wife has come with me the past couple years to wait in line. My brother was in town last year visiting and was all pumped about coming out... until it was time the night before to go and he decided that he "didn't feel like it" so we went without him and he met us up on Friday.
  18. haha, good stories Cannon1! I Never get tired of hearing stories about people trying to cheat their way in front of the line and coming away empty handed! One of the small items we got last year were the Harry Potter Movies 1-4 for $5 each from Target. Just a small bargain, but a bargain none the less!! I was able to turn around and sell the 4th one on ebay for somewhere around $15. (That one was only the single disc version, and I wanted the 2-disc version.)
  19. haha, now THAT'S what I call DEDICATION!!! yeah right, now that would be CCCCRRRRAAAAZZZZYYYY!!!! haha!
  20. yeah, I would LLOOVVEE to get one of those huge flat panel HD tv's... unfortunately I don't think it's in the budget for now. We're trying to get the mortgage paid off in 15yrs (instead of 30) so there's not too much extra $$$ available.:)
  21. wow... 6-8am on Tgiving day... i'm amazed. now YOU are a TRUE BF soldier... hats off to you and the fam.
  22. haha, THATS AWESOME!!! you gotta love when those type of people come up empty-handed! they think they're so smooth and that they'll outsmart everyone else and then end up getting outsmarted themselves. LOVE IT!!!
  23. haha, that's funny. NO, you're definitely not the only one. Basically, my whole family is with you on that one. I've almost convinced my brother to come out with me before and my wife has come once or twice, but other than them, I'm outta luck when it comes to family recruits. i just love the excitement of it all!!
