  6. I don't have a theme either - My tree has an assortment of ornaments - the ones the kids make, UGA, snowmen, santas, etc. However, this year I have so many snowmen ornaments and bought some extra already so I am going to have a snowman tree with white lights with red beaded garland in my kitchen or bedroom.
  7. Nothing as my tree usually touches the top of the ceiling
  8. Thanks Eve for hosting this again. It was so much fun last year and I received awesome things that I will be using this year. I sent a PM - count me in for secret santa and ornament exchange
  9. Best: My ds 11 who was born 2 weeks before Christmas in 1995. Worst: Clothes that are to small
  10. It is wonderful to see so many Santa traditions. In my house, the presents that are wrapped and under the tree are from mom and dad - I have two boys and they both get a pair of pajamas, an ornament, socks and underwear, and outfit, and a movie. That is from mom and dad and they open it Christmas Eve night. Santa brings other items that are not wrapped and are under the tree Christmas morning. Actually, they are in a pile beside the tree - a pile for each child. I am not sure how many presents that each get as it varies from year to year, all I can say is that they have the same amount. Each has a big item and several little things. For instance, last year, DS11 got a psp, psp accessories, 3 psp movies, 2 psp games, the large ROBOSapien, 3 or 4 PS2 games and a bunch of other stuff. DS7 got a tv, ps, psp accessories, 3 psp movies, 2 psp games, and 3 or 4 PS2 games and a bunch of other stuff. In any case, they always get the same amount. I think last year Santa presents were about 400 a child and then mom and dad presents were about 100 a child. I know, I spend WAY TOO Much but I love to spoil them at this time. To top it all off, they go to my moms house for christmas too as SANTA comes to her house as well.
  11. I have a christmas club account too and should have around 900 in it so I hope to keep my spending within budget. Just figured out last years amount and I would say altogether just for the kids about 1000.
  12. Starting out in Fayetteville, Georgia and going to Jonesboro, Georgia and then back to Griffin, Ga and will not have my shirt on as I don't have one - BUT plan on getting one very soon.
  13. Walmart for me so I can pricematch, Target, Best Buy, Kohls, Sears, Bath & Body Works. Those are my main stores but I go other places too.
  14. Snowmen definitely. I have tons of them.
  15. It has never been a tradition in my house to leave something out for Santa but occasionally we leave milk and cookies. However, when the kiddos go to bed - Santa, aka mom and dad, have lots coffee to keep them awake along with a midnight snack.
  16. I use a system of wrapping too. I wrap the kids presents (sons, nephews, nieces, etc) in kid paper and then pick a pretty one for the adults. I also try to use the same wrapping paper for each person I wrap for. For instance, if my oldest son is getting 6 presents under the tree from "mom and dad", then I wrap all of his six in the same special paper that I have picked out for him. I do the same for my youngest son. I know, I have lost my mind.
  17. Santa still comes to my moms house for me, hubby and the kids. Kids always have gifts but hubby and I usually have stockings.
  18. I always bring the ads to pricematch at walmart, wear jeans, a long sleeved t-shirt, tennis shoes and bring a jacket for standing outside in the FREEZING cold.
  19. I have a Christmas club that my husband deposits money into every two weeks. It automatically comes out of his check and we cannot touch it until the bank sends a check in mid November. That is always what i use and of course, extra that has been saved.
  20. We go to my moms house to exchange gifts with my brother and cousins usually the weekend before Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we exchange with my husbands side of the family and then when everyone leaves, the kids can open all presents from mom and dad - always pj's, socks/underwear,movie, video game, books, etc. Then Santa is the next morning on Christmas - Santa gifts are not wrapped though, they are just laid out in a pile - two different piles for each child. My mother-in-law/father-in-law and my mom and dad come over for breakfast casserole to see what the kids got from Santa and watch them open their stockings. Then, we all go to my moms house (Nana's) because SANTA came there too.
  21. I definitely do for my sons. They get WAY to much but Christmas is my favorite time to spoil them.
  22. We always put ours up Thanksgiving weekend. ON Black Friday after I have shopped all day, we go out as a family and get the tree. On Saturday and Sunday we put on lights, ornaments, and decorate the inside and outside of the house.
  23. I love snowmen and do leave those out until the end of January.
  24. My ds does not believe in Santa. He figured it out last year when he wanted to know how Santa can visit every house in the whole wide world in one night. My other ds, who is 7, still believes and the older knows that he better not say a word.
