  1. Color Wonder stuff was still 30%. Still bought one for DS as he's been wanting one for a while. They had a few that came in a handle tote. I'm hoping they'll go down some more to go back and get that one. Lots of employees in the toy area, but didn't look around much.
  2. It's seems most people haven't had a problem using internet printed coupons, but I asked CS about it and was told that due to a lot of fraud, it was a manager's call on whether they take them or not. I would call the store before shopping. I asked two stores that are close in proximity and one said no, the other said that if it scanned they'd take it.
  3. I remembered to look for watches on Sat. but didn't find any. I didn't find any batteries either, I did find some of the Eclipse gum.
  4. I'll be looking for mine. I didn't get one the last time around, but I asked about it at the store and they gave me the discount.
  5. That just goes to show how well the employees read the coupons. I wouldn't have been so bold as to try this. Hope not too many people try this and ruin it for those that follow the terms.
  6. I don't think that it's the place that's honoring expired coupons. It's up to the employee to verify this information (both date and product). The coupon codes basically tell the computer the product family and the amount off you get. And at that, many times at my local grocery store, it'll beep to say the product was not found when I have the exact product indicated. It would probably take a lot of money to "upgrade" the coupons to include another barcode for the date and upgrade the computer system at the checkouts.
  7. I saw those today and they smell great. I didn't buy because I didn't have any coupons with me. I'll try that $2 coupon, but if it doesn't work I'll just be like oops I didn't read it, here's the right one. Even at $1.48, it would be a pretty good price.
  8. I think this article makes the case for CFL bulbs. It didn't say that this woman paid $2000 to clean this up. That was a figure given to her by this environmental clean up company and the article described this sort of clean up as over the top and unnecessary. It also says that a ball point pen and a thermometer contain more mercury.
  9. Are those GCs in the regular 60/100 watt reveal light bulb packages? Or in the spotlight/floodlight bulbs? I saw several packages on clearance this past weekend, but didn't think to buy any because I want to only use the CFL bulbs.
  10. Thanks. I asked at one store before buying anything and one cashier didn't know, the other said no. I called a different store and the girl that answered said she didn't know, but would find out. A man (I'll assume he was a manager, but didn't ask) came back and said that if it scanned, they'd take it. I did send an email, hopefully I'll hear something back. I'd really like to know what their company policy is.
  11. Seeing that you are printing internet man. coupons, have you had any trouble using them at the store. Do you know what their policy is? Does it apply across the board or store by store basis?
  12. I think they are trying to make it harder to use coupons in all repects. Just had trouble this weekend using coupons from the Sunday paper. The cashier was trying to tell me I couldn't use two of the same coupon in the same transaction.
  13. I had the same problem not too long ago. I was shopping at Walmart(which I consciously don't do often) and since I was there I wanted to get whatever item was in the CVS ad(it was probably soft drinks, but CVS was OOS), but because I needed a card at CVS they wouldn't do it. The only thing the card does is basically keep track of our shopping and obviously gives us rewards. You would think the way Walmart was going they'd want to keep your business, but it looks like they are getting better at driving people away. Even at Christmas time, my mom wanted to price match with Circuit City for the Gameboy SP and we asked at the service desk to make sure they still price matched. The cashier at electronics had no problem doing it. But when she needed an override(maybe because of the $30 difference and the fact that it was on three), the "manager" questioned her on it. She basically told her "superior" that Walmart still price matched.
  14. I agree with the both of you. I'm not sure whether people are clipping off the expiration date on Target coupons or manufacturer coupons, but I wouldn't do either. If Target accepts expired coupons, then what's the point of clipping it off. I worked at a large grocery store for four years as a cashier and bookkeeper and it was up to the cashier to check the expiration date. We did not accept expired coupons. I'll admit that I have given an expired coupon to a cashier hoping that they wouldn't notice the date because I forgot to use it before expiring. If it went through, it was either because the cashier didn't pay attention or didn't care. So either Target does have a very lax coupon policy, the cashiers may not be trained properly or the cashiers don't care. They probably have more leeway on Target coupons since it's a "store" coupon. The marketing money they've bugeted probably takes care of any "losses". As far as manufacturer coupons, there's probably a certain time frame in which they have to submit those in order to get reimbursed(after collecting and submitting coupons to the corporate office on a weekly basis, I'm not sure what happened to the coupons and technically there could be expired coupons in the bunch that weren't expired when they were accepted). I'm sure that if accepting either of these types of coupons has produced significant losses, the policy will be adjusted. And this would be the result of not just some people taking advantage of "freebies" but also the policy itself and the way the cashiers accept any coupons.
  15. I'll have to check on those. I need to get my son his own. That's the cheapest you could find them at Christmas time and that's if you could find them.
  16. For anyone planning to shop - email I got says finals days of sale, so it'll probably go through the weekend.
  17. I'm with you. I hate paying shipping for anything. Whatever savings you get is eaten up by the shipping. Too bad I don't have any spending money. Otherwise, I would have cleaned up. New York is my favorite for clothes. I haven't shopped since December.
  18. I got nothing. The last one I got was for December. I doubt I'll get anything now.
  19. Mine was in the same section as all thermometers and was actually hanging under the regular priced tag. It was not tagged clearance or anything. There was a total of three different thermometers there (two same model, but different package) so it may be slim pickings.
  20. Thanks so much for the head up on this one. I almost forgot to check for it ,but I managed to get mine for $7.48 today. The same model, but in a different package was still $38.xx.
  21. I went to two CVS stores on Mon and neither had any Pantene. There were a couple of handrwritten signs at the first store limiting the two day sales items to one per customer. That alone upset me because I always buy shampoo and conditioner. I asked for a raincheck and was denied one because the manager supposedly said they were not giving rainchecks for the two day sale items. Their ad did not say there was a limit and did not say rainchaicks wouldn't be available. I've emailed the customer service dept. Still no reply.
