  1. I was in the store a few days ago, and they still had a large supply of the oils and candles for 2 dollars. They also had a lot of eyeshadow, many containers of foundation, some lipsticks and pencils, and bronzers...all for a dollar! I picked up two lipsticks, a lip pencil, a bronzer, and some shine bronze powder stuff that is nice on the cheekbones in place of blush(will be nice in summer for that sparkling-tan look). I spent more on a chapstick for my brother (5 bucks but it goes to charity) than I did on my cheap makeup. :) Oh, they also had a lot of nail polishes...they are in tiny bottles though
  2. Today was the last day to use the cheese coupons, I used those and got 6 bags of cheese for about 50 cents a piece. Those lamps people have been talking about for 14 bucks. I was hoping to find some inexpensive school supplies but my local target didn't have much of a selection and none of it was clearance...guess I missed that in September...guess that I will have to hit the dollar store for that
  3. do any of those magazines have coupons? Does this company continue sending magazines and charging after one year until you cancell, or do they stop immediately after the year?
  4. Jc Penny here in De was extremely disappointing...a lot of stuff was 70% off reg price, but it most cases, the reg price was 30 bucks or more! This was in the men's department. There were some t-shirts that my have been 6 bucks+, but I can get some just as nice or nicer at Old Navy now for 2 bucks with the additional 50% clearance!
  5. shell, that code requires a validation code to be used...do you have that?
  6. I suppose that there is a miniminum purchase to be made with that code...didn't work for a 9.99 item
  7. My husband and I have never been on a cruise....where can we find GREAT deals on cruises? We live in the NE.
  8. i bought the apple air wick air freshener on clearance, and it stinks! Does anyone else agree? I don't mind the other apple-scented fresheners, but I can't stand this one. PeeeeeeeeeeUUUUU
  9. "Get a free 18" x 24" poster printed from your digital file or files, all you have to pay shipping $10.00. Now this isn't a great deal for one (thats still pretty good), but each addtional poster is only $2.00, I ordered 6 for $20.00 - now thats a great deal! shortrunposters.com " This was posted in online deals but removed because the moderator felt that it would be more appropriate here. I was just searching for it here and didn't see it, so here it is .
  10. is there anything good out there that we can use it on..any stores with free shipping today?
  11. I was just there and they had a lot of stuff for 70% off but it was orginally very expensive. For example, there were hooded sweatshirts that were supposedly normally 49.99-59.99 and then 70% off which is really not that great of a dal considering that everything in the store is usually 50%. You still end up paying about 12-15 for a cheap sweater...maybe some still find that a great deal but I have been finding better deals elsewhere...For example, you can get nicer hooded sweatshirts at Old Navy now for 5.97 and nice long-sleeved shirts at Gap for 3.97-6.99. Just look thorougly through the racks.
  12. Hey everyone, Remember when they had the 2.50 shirts and cancelled a majority of the orders, claiming they were out of stock? Well, I was so ticked off by their dishonesty that I called back a second time asking them to first tell me if certain shirts were in stock. Once the man said that the shirts were in stock, I presented a 2-minute speech on how I felt betrayed/deceived by Old Navy, and how they tried to essentially screw me and others who ordered these shirts by cancelling most of the orders and, in many cases, just leaving one shirt on the order so that we would have to pay more for shipping than the item itself. Eventually, the Old Navy representative re-placed my order for the shirts and I received them today, 2.50 each. They sent me the wrong size for one of the shirts, but oh well. At least I finally got them.
  13. I visited cvs and they had a small section of 75% off and a small section of 50%...why are cvs and rite aid being selective about what is 50% and 75%...make it easy and do it all at once! Rite had 75% for nearly everything but only 50% was coming off for everything. The rude manager had to come up to make some price adjustments for me...at one point, they made an error for a 25 cent bag of chocolate, where I explained that I was supposed to owe them 25 cents, not be given the 25 cents, and the RUDE manager threw the quarter at me and said it was already in the sytem in the register. OH well, I got a free bag of chocolate and a quarter. I missed out on most of Walmarts stuff. I was there today and virtually nothing was left, but they seemed to have a lot of good deals when the 75% first came up. I would say Walmart will be my first stop for holiday clearance stuff next year. Eckerd, CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens will probably be last on my list. Btw, if you are able to make it Walmart and find a few random things leftover, note that more than 75% is coming off. I got a 60 cent mug for 10 cents and a 99cent chapstic for 20 cents...seems like the register was taking off 80% in most cases. I apologize if I digressed. I know that this thread was initially intended for Cvs and Walgreens. Why is Target still at 50% off here in De? Geez.
  14. Visit your local store. You are highly likely to find more sizes available there. I purchased 4 full bags of clothing for my brother, and I spent just under 100 bucks...I came out with 25+ items. I recommend the men's slippers marked down to 3 dollars and change and the men's sleep pants, also for 3 dollars and some change. There were also many men's thick sleep pants that were 6.99. I purchased many men's hooded sweatshirts for 5.97. For some reason, the female pajama sets were not marked down as much as the male pants. Most of those were 6.99 or 11.99...still a good deal. The footballs and soccer balls were 75% (came to a dollar and some change)off yesterday but marked down only 50% today. There were racks of Christmas (female) shirts for 3 dollars and change. They are somewhat thin but will work great under a sweater.
  15. wow, what a deal , ameyers...hopefully, we will find out soon...i am sure someone will post it here
  16. I wish that I could be more organized like my husband. I bought two, one to organize some papers and one to keep all of my brother's video games together. These would probably make good cosmetic and toiletry baskets to keep in the closet.
  17. what is B&M. I have seen that abbreviation before but have no idea what it stands for. Thanks.

  19. While I was at Target in De the day after Christmas, I picked up a 12-pack of wash cloths for 2 dollars, a few 1.98 t-shirts for my brother (had to dig through the racks), and Curve cologn for 12 dollars. They were putting in a cart some of the cologn sets/individuals (the more popular-higher-end sets and individuals), but I asked if I could have one, and the lady kindly gave me one. I am not sure if they were going back or if they were simply moving them to another location. One associate told me that they would not be on clearance, but the guy at the register told me that he thought they were included with clearance. I guess it was so chaotic there that the associates were still unsure themselves what was going on. Kohl's holiday "stuff" was picked over, and at only 50% off...no bargin, in my opinion. Yesterday, Macy's had Hanukah socks at 75% off, plus I used a coupon for an extra 20% off. I got 8 pairs of socks for less than 8 bucks. THe 20% off coupon/savings pass is still good today, so use it! I believe that most associates will let you use it on nearly anything, even if it lists restrictions. Don't forget to check out the holiday Glades plug-ins and candles. They go on clearance at Target. Right now, they are 50% off, but you would never know it because there is no sign and they are still with the other air fresheners. Just scan them and you should see the price difference. It seems that pumpkin pie candles and apple fragrances are 50% off. I had some coupons from the paper and ended up getting boxes for glad plug-ins for pocket change. Tomorrow, I hear stuff will be 75% off. Last year, there were a lot of the apple plug-ins left and there was a dollar off coupon in the box, so I snagged the few remaining boxes of plug-in for pennies. An Old Navy associate told me yesterday that more markdowns will be made this weekend.
  20. I tried calling to see if they could ship to the store and the guy said "No." He didn't budge one bit and was not reciptive to my opinions or questions regarding shipping. I told him that a few t-shirts could not possibly fit in the weight category equivalent to what they were trying to charge for shipping and he had no response to that other than UPS determines the shipping...BS
  21. oh i think it worked this time...yikes, the shipping is so high...how can we get free shipping?
  22. Today, it was just my husband, dog and me. We ate breakfast and took a nap in the afternoon. We filed some paperwork and paid a bill. We watched a lot of tv ...and I spent a few bucks doing online shopping this evening. My siblings visited earlier in the week and it was CRAZY during that time, so I guess that relaxing today was nice...we tried to order Chinese food, but the local Chinese restaurants were closed...I suppose we could have gone to the movie theatre but I didn't want to blow 20 bucks on that. I kind of feel bad for my husband that I have so few relatives and friends that my husband and I had nothing to do today...he even fibbed to one of his friends in another state and said that we were in bed in the afternoon because we had the flu ...did anyone else have an uneventful Christmas?
