jeez...i dont understand the problem...seriously! I wasn't even thinking about going to Sears on BF until I saw their ad and now i'm almost positive I may start out there...wouldn't have happened if i waited until Thanksgiving to find out what everyone had...I think this site is really good PR for these stores...so why don't they think so???

I'm looking to upgrade my video camera (I have a heavy cassette one and the battery no longer holds a charge...bout 5yrs old). This one looks nice and it's in my price range, just wondering what others think about it? I'd be using it for my daughter's plays/recitals/family parties, etc...nothing major. Any feedback is most welcome.

Ok, I'm in love with the Sears BF ads...just need everyone's opinion on which digital camera in there would be the best point/shoot/zoom/store like at least 50-100 pics camera for the lowest budget...advice?

OK, I called ToysRUS and they said they were taking them back (yes, they are recalled in the US)...So we drove over, they gave us merchandise credit for them...great, except when we picked a new toy and checked out there was $.78 leftover and they refused to just give us $.78!!! Instead they left it on the merchandise card...come on now ToysRUs! That is just terrible.

My daughter got 2 sets of these for her b-day in Oct and loves them SOOO much! I pulled up the recall page for the company and tried to call them but got a recording saying that the office is closed and to call back during business hours (9am-9pm)...I just called at 3:50pm! So annoyed. My daughter is about to cry that I'm taking away her favorite toy...do you guys know there is only ONE person testing kids toys for safety?!?!?! The commission was offered extra money to hire more testers and refused to do so. I'm disgusted right now, and my daughter is the one suffering from their stupidity.

I was just at Walmart and going through their Halloween (75% off) stuff and found a whole box of glow sticks in different colors for .20 each! These are great for treat bags for b-day parties, or to save for trick or treating next year :) I bought like 6 (and they had pink, which is my daughters fave). Hope someone else is as excited as i was about this

I have no idea what I use...it's a Fujifilm FinePix 2400Zoom 3X optical zoom, 2.1 mega pixels.

Thanksgiving is spent going over the ads with my family and them picking out what they want for their presents before I head over to camp out This is how I shop for the holidays...and we do Hannukah as well as Christmas as well as my sisters b-day in Dec. Yay black friday!!!

OK guys, help me out here. I have one of the original point/shoot digital cameras...i can take 20pics...no memory card, heavy and bulky. SOOOO, i've decided it's def. time for an upgrade to something smaller, lighter, and holds more pictures (I don't need it to take thousands, but maybe 200-400 for vacations). I'd like something with a view screen to see the pics after i take them, no different lenses (not looking to make this a career), flash, good for night shots...you get the idea. I also don't want to spend more than like $100 on this...would love to find something nice cheap on BF...any ideas for me???

Where in PA are you? I'm in PA also, south of philly...I went in line around 11pm last year at BB...was about #70 in line....by midnight it wrapped around the building. Also, about the weather...it was rainy and freezing last year and everyone still came out...with all the line jumpers it isn't worth sleeping out in that...this year i'm reverting back to about 3am to head out (besides, i got my 32' LCD HDTV last year for $480...so i'm cool )

I think your idea is genius!!!! Especially the handing out of braclets...this should occur at like 2am or something, before the terrible line jumping occurs. If a store followed your method, dude, i'd so be lined up there this bf....fairness!!!

just curious if they ever come up as a special on black friday...mine has decided to stop working properly...and i'd love to get one cheaper if possible (I can hand wash for a month or so)

yeah, that always happens and the stores RARELY do a damn thing about it! I was so disgusted with BB last year that I will not be back there this year.

The first people in our BB line last year showed up early Thanksgiving morning (like 9am early)...I came around 11pm that night and was #70 something (before line jumpers)...I say skip Wed night and just come on Thurs and you should be fine and among others. Also, We had police patroling the store starting that afternoon and until Friday afternoon...so it was pretty "safe" mostly the line watches out for the line...so wait until Thurs morning to line up and you should be OK and not alone.

OMG that is the best idea...i usually start dragging from not eating or drinking for so long! I'm going to put some gatorade and begals or something in my car ahead of time this year...thanks! You'd think that would be obvious...but not for me ;-)

I slept out at BB last year...NEVER AGAIN. So many line jumpers and BB did nothing to stop them even when they openly did it. Then I told them i wanted the laptop and they said they were out and then gave a few to people in line BEHIND ME. I was so upset I complained to everyone i could find at BB and they were just like "tough"...to add insult to hunger/cold/sickness someone stole my sleeping bag. Freaking nightmare.

OK, I know i'm going to get heat for this from some parents out there...but it has to be said. DO NOT BRING SMALL CHILDREN TO BLACK FRIDAY!!!!! I'm talking about under 12 year old kids, and i'm talking about sleeping out Thanksgiving night until about 8am the next morning. I cannot tell you how much it bugs me to have to work my way around strollers in crowded aisles, or to see kids outside all night in the cold. Black Friday is not for small children (after 8am is fine because all the serious shoppers are on their way home or done with the craziness). OK, before you yell at me. I'm a single mom, I make sure I have someone to watch my daughter every year (no school that day, no daycare)...it's not so hard. Besides the kids being downright annoying, it's also dangerous for them to be in the middle of it! Tell me i'm not the only one bothered by this!!!!

I always travel alone...no-one else is willing to run for stuff and I don't want to try to find people again during the craziness...it's like quality "ME" time :) Plus I usually make friends along the way in line!
