We told the best buy we wanted the 2 gig upgrade on the viao and they did upgrade but the cashier didnt ring it out . We didnt relize till we got home from jax .. I feel bad should I call best buy and tell them or just say BONUS.. Since I am mad at them anyway for not having the Tv advertised not in stock I am saying this was my reward we got 2 viaos too so that is 104 dollars plus installation

I put santa doesnt come since all kids dont believe but when the kids were little all gifts were wrapped except things like bikes, and big things we couldnt wrap

UGH I dont think I will go back to Best buy next year if any store on Black Friday. It was so bad in Pensacola. We had so many fights, One arrest. I mean the line was about half of what it was in 2006 and the people were down right mean. People who tried to cut in line all the time. People grabbing tickets out of other peoples hands. The cops told best buy at 3 am to control the crowd or they were clearing the parking lot. We were in line for 24 hours total. I got everything on my list except the big ticket LG tv I wanted which the store had NONE in stock It was a mad house . They told us to go to the balloons but you had to purchase the items for the tickets at that ballon even if you were not done shopping I had been going to this same best buy for 5 yrs. And in all the years I have never seen such a hateful crowd. I mean the people around us was nice but we knew we were getting all the the ticket items I was number 4 in line DH was 5. But we got so many people who was trying to buy our spots , tickets and just being mean.. Dh said this was the last year at this store and I think I am for him. I love and live for black Friday. I think we may shop online next year or just not worry about it and pay the extra money.. We had one arrest , several fist fights, verbal fights ( at the middle of the line) One bright spot we had two ladys who pulled up in a huge SUV and had a dance bit it was really nice .. But I am so upset. I will have to say Maria from the digital camera area ( i think the department manager ) was the nicest of them all and helped us the most and will be writing best buy about her customer service but other then the lead Geek squad guy and one other lady Jessica the other employees were rude and untrained.

Pensacola reporting.. We got at best buy at 5am thanksgiving day. The crowds were nothing like last year but they were disorginazed. One TV we wanted they didnt have it in stock:mad: They wanted to order it make us pay shipping and ship it to jax. I told them no and the lost out on the sell. But I did get 2 sony lap tops, 2 tom tom gps, 387 computer for my son , 2 digital camera with digital frames. gaming chair, and assorted games . I got a PS3 for my sister in law in Pittsburgh and a gps system and we mailed out to her today and is expecting a big check.. well got the check today from mom they deposit money in her account.. We had a couple fights, an arrest and a bunch of drunkies who thought the line started at the front end at the exit.. I dont think so I didnt sit out there for hours on end for you to cut.. I got interviewed by the news since we come over ever year from georgia I was on tv but they cut the talking part. Lady in the green had with windblown face we are tired and I really dont think we will do best buy next year. We have done them every year and this year really was bad with the fights. I Think we might target next year:razz:

I want the LG 47 inch LCD or samsung 40 inch LCD.. choices choices heck why not both tickets and then decided last minute and give someone a merry christmas LOL

My clothes packed in order on how they will be layered is this bad or what

Most of my memories of the 80s and 90s were at Toys r us since we had small children. I remember one year two ladies fighting over the Talking tonka truck. I had my safly stashed at the bottom of my cart:D

All I am going for is the velour sweat stuits but possible the 19 inch LCDs . My main focus is how many are in line at best buy

Best way to get multiple tickets 1. Get there as early as you can 2. bring people with you only one ticket per item so if you need more then one item you need people to get thos tickets for you:D

Since we are doing our dinner on Weds I will get to spend all day with my family. I mean its just a day to eat Turkey who cars if its on Weds or Thurs. Its the meaning behind it right.. My plan of action is to get up on Thanksgiving day drive to Pensacola to the kmart that is near best buy.. Go get what I went from kmart then go look at the line.. If there is people standing there then I will join them. IF not we will find some place serving breakfast then scope again. At that time I will be standing in line for the day.. YEAH I cant wair:razz:

I hope its some video games for the wii, xbox or Ps3 or Ds games

Im not boycotting on what they did here. Although I think it was low and mean. I am boycotting them because the way they treat their customers, employees and the towns they are in. They are bullys and I hate any bully.. I was a walmart employee so I talk from experience:mad:

I boycott them all year so black friday will be no different. The only reason I would want to look at the ad is to price match at best buy .. I know our store will price match stuff like the DVDs and CDs and video games that is the only thing I will price match anyway:rolleyes:

Ok I am updated my list Sony Lap top Digital camera with digital frame ( for pregnant friend as a gift) 199 computer for a friend 20 inch LCD/DVD combo tv for kids bedrooms X 2 Gaming chair Cooking mama game for DS Sex and the city DVDs and maybe Sopranos 2 22 inch LCD monitors 2 graphic cards for kids computers Compaq computer for 399.99 buying for oldest son who is giving me money for it 9 inch digital frame Logitech remote control _this is a maybe have to talk to DH if he still wants one of these still debating on which tv to buy. I want the 50 inch plasma dh wants a smaller tv so we shall see who wins this debate

I dont sleep at all after I get up on Thanksgiving day .. And since we are leaving super early on Turkey day I guess the cold will keep me up:tongue1:

Maybe I am overlooking but has anyone seen any graphic cards for the computers at all in any of the black friday ads

Our best buy always told us we had to be back by 11 am to pay. If your not back by 11 am then they will sell the laptop, computer or tv what ever the ticket item so you may want to ask the best buy employee before you leave.. They can really say if you dont pay with in 60 to 90 minutes because I was in the computer line for over 4 hours and they know that line moves slow//

Dh was talking with a coworker and he said he heard a report that the sales on black friday are not going to be that great.> From what I see most are not .. He said that the retailers are going to do the sales either before black friday or shortly after that will blow black friday away?? He told me to make sure I keep my eyes open but I told him he is talking to a professional LOL if I knew that better sales are out there we would know expecially if its before black friday. He said it was on CNN but I havent seen anything . Has anyone else seen this report that the coworker is talking about

So ho many chairs do you think is fair for them to save??? I do get there early. I went at 3pm last year and got all I went for but if one person is saving 10 spots while the others are freezing and the other people who spots are saved are sitting at home watching tv or what ever and they come out 1 hour before the store opens . Is that fair to the people who been standing out for hours on end. I think not. I dont have real problem if a person is holding a spot for a spouse who will be there soon or someone waiting for thier babysitter to show but but not for hours and hours. Say you came at 3pm you put your chair there for your spouse and he shows up at 5pm. I wouldnt have a problem but if he showed up at 2 am I would. because I sat there from that same time in the cold. I know its christmas time and that is why I am standing out there to get my children thier christmas. So you shouldnt think its fair for you to save a spot for a long time and have people be happy about it and say get there earlier. Your spouse should get there earlier as well. If your saving just for an hour or so then I say its ok but any longer then No its not fair for the other people who waited in the cold for hours And when I say I wouldnt mind if someone saved for an hour for a spouse that is if they asked the people around them if its ok .. its called being curtious to your neighbors ...

I think the Ds will be a hot item and you should get there as early as possible. I dont think it will be as hot at the lap tops , desk tops or tvs but it will be close.. I would suggest to get there at least by 3pm on Thankgiving day if not earlier. If you are wanting a laptop it would more like noon or earlier. I am planning on going at 10 am on thanksgiving day but it might be earlier depending on the talks closer to black fri.. I am willing to go as early as 6 am on thanksgiving to get my Sony Viao:D

My biggest pet peeve on black friday is line cutters and line savers (except for bathroom or food breaks) I think if I am standing out there for 15+ hours and there is a chair in front of me and no one in it that chair will go behind me. I dont think you should be able to put a chair in place then go home and be warm and snug while I am freezing my tushy off.. thank goodness I have not come across chairs but I do come across line cutters last year the police was called on one line cutter and the cops told him if they get called again he would be arrested and made him go to the back of the line. He was none to happy:tongue1:

We are going to my Mom's house for Turkey day she cooks.. But we are really considering having everything Weds night since its only us coming this year to her house.. Unless my brother from New Orleans decides to come last minute.. If so we will have dinner on Fri after we get home. Dh and I dont like Turkey that much anyway. Boys will be at Moms. Plus Black Fri is my DAY and everyone knows it including Dh which goes with me every year for the past 5 yrs. When the kids were little he didnt have any desire to shop but now that they are into electronics he is all game for shopping :)

.. Just wondering if anyone is going to be in line in Pensacola on black fri @ best buy... And if you are what are you going for. Trying to determine if I need to be there at 10 am on Turkey day or noon will be ok..
