  1. That's what the coupon says, but when I actually went in the store they honored it on clearance items. Maybe you just can't use the code online like that though.
  2. We have EB 10% off card and got an additional 10% off coupon in the magazine this past month. We were able to combine those when we bought a used copy of Zelda for the Wii and only paid ~$30. It was pretty awesome.
  3. I went last year for my mother's wedding. Gambling age is 21, it sucked for me since I was 19. If you have members of your party who are under 21 they aren't allowed to be any where on the gambling floor. If security catches you on the floor a couple of times they start to get pretty angry. It's understandable, just not very fun. It's amazing how little you can leave the hotel. We were there for 3 days and we didn't leave the hotel once. The air is so dry (compared the Florida) we could barely breathe outside, let alone walk anywhere. They have dinner and shows in every hotel to try to keep people to stay there. If you start to sign up on the websites for emails to these places you can get all sorts of deals. I'm going for my 21st bday in May, so I get emails all the time about it. If you wait and watch, you can usually get an awesome hotel with free meals for under $100 a night if you go on the week days. I'd stick with hotel names you've heard of or you've heard of the company that owns them. Driving in, we saw plenty of ugly very unsafe hotels that looked very cheap. I also refer people to the Mirage because they own atleast 10 different hotels out there. Just look at the bottom of their webpage to see all the others. Attrations are pretty easy to. Like I said, most hotels have their own shows and a lot of them are free so you can just hit up as many of those as you like. There's also the roller coaster at the Stratosphere. If you just call up what ever hotel you're interested in and let them know the age groups of your children, they will be able to help. My aunt took her 7 year and there was never a moment the two of them were bored. Hope that helps!
  4. CEAZTMDAZU gets you $100 off "select" TV's, but I can't find a list. That's all I can come up with. The previous 10% off code and the $40 off code have both expired.
  5. XAA9JANARV I got this code in an email for 10% off a TV. I have no idea when it expires. I got the email today, so it's not today!
  6. For those people who either live in Florida or travel here a lot, remember this is the last weekend you can get the "buy one day, come back all year free" passes from Sea World and Bush Gardens. It's a really awesome deal, I get it every year. No black out dates and $60 for an annual pass!
  7. I love HP for all my printing needs. I had the same printer/scanner/copier since '99 and it never steered me wrong. I just traded to the exact same printer it's just newer and therefore much smaller and connects via USB (my new computer didn't have one of the old printer ports). I love it and I can buy the ink cartridges from overstock.com for $20 per 2 pack. You can't beat that price for ink. The printer is a little more expensive than some of the others, but you can watch for a sale or just understand that this printer will last you a long time with little to no hassles.
  8. I think BB has the 55" for 900. I thought I saw it a couple of days ago. So they might have the 65" for something close to that.
  9. Other than Amazon, no other online stores are offering the console only (that I know of) and Amazon has only gotten a hold of VERY few. Retailers make their money off of games and extra's, so the people who sell the most extra's are the people who get the most Wii's. It'll be awhile until an online store can offer them outside of some sort of bundle.
  10. I got one! CC had 4 and I was #3 in line. We didn't even get there until 8. Our Target didn't have any. Turns out they were expecting them today, but they ended up getting none. Best Buy had that "garuntee" of 20 and there were at least 20 people in the line. People had been waiting there since before 4 a.m. When they could slept in then went to CC and gotten it even earlier! (BB opens at 11 CC opens at 10)
  11. For everyone that's going in December, makes sure to go to Very Merry Christmas at Disney. It's seperate from the regular passes because it happens at night (7-12). They serve free hot cocoa and cookies and it's really the best thing I've ever been to at Disney. Although, I live in Orlando so I sort of take Disney for granted. But it really is beautiful. They shoot off fire works by Cinderella's castle and tell a story of love and hope. My fiancee proposed there in '05. They usually run it from the last week in November until Christmas. They limit the event to only like 500 or 1000 so people, so the lines are VERY short. You can hit everything in the park up 2 or 3 times depending on if you stop to watch all the shows and parades. Which by the way, Minnie singing "Santa Baby" was adorable. That's my input!
  12. I live in Florida, but I have Time Warner Cable. I have NO idea if they are anything the same, but for us we paid an extra $6 a month (We already had digital cable) and they came in and installed an HD-DVR (All of their HD boxes were DVR's) and we got all the HD channels. Where I live TW and Direct Satelite where all I had to choose from too, but we choose TW because of all the storms we get and satelite is unreliable down here. Your best bet is to probably call them both. I'm kind of assuming you don't already have cable TV, if you do though I'd go with the company you're already set up with. They are usually willing to do a lot to keep you a customer and so if you threaten to leave for a better deal, they are usually willing to match it. At least, that's what my experience has been.
  13. mid-March is Spring Break time, that means it's going to be the most expensive time of year to go especially sailing out of Florida. January is the cheapest time. I'm going on a cruise the first week of April and the lowest I could find is through Royal Caribbean and that was for almost 450 for 4 nights sailing out of Port Canaveral (Or however it's spelled). It's cheaper to go without a travel agent, since you don't have to pay them. RC and Carnival are the cheapest out of Florida I do believe, so can search them straight from their website. The prices only go up the closer you get, so you'd need to book right away. As far as a military discount, my friend in the Navy wasn't able to use his during the peak season, but you would need to call them while booking to see if you qualify. For a week long cruise you're probably looking at close to 1,000 PP. Which, if you can avoid spending tons of money on the boat, is still an awesome deal when you consider they give you more food than you could possibly imagine!
  14. When my Fiancee proposed 13 months ago, he gave me a CZ ring with a vacation to the Bahama's. We had heard of another couple doing something similar a few months prior and I thought it was cute. I don't really wear jewelry so spending 1,000 on a ring vs. 1,000 on a trip to the bahama's... I liked the Bahama's. Well, the wedding date is set for April 1st of next (or I guess this) year and we've been trying to pick out wedding bands. I had just picked out a simple band that matched the titanium one we picked out for him. Christmas morning I woke up to freshly squeezed OJ and my fiancee down on one knee again. He bought me new ring, with 13 diamonds... one for every month I had gone with out. It's a bridal set too. Needless to say, I cried my eyes out. That and the 42" Plasma we bought eachother for Christmas. :)
  15. It's "rumored" that all of the 2003 versions of office will go on major discount when the 2007 stuff comes out. I don't know about all of the other things your talking about, but the good thing about new software is the old stuff gets marked down. So you might want to consider waiting if you can.
  16. While they might "fit" anyone's shoe size, they aren't exactly for use of anyone over the age of like 10. My grandmother bought these for my brother and cousins earlier this year. My youngest cousin (6) loved them and had no problem. Anyone over like 100 lbs though... wasn't able to do much else with them. We had come to the conclusion that it was the weight because the younger (lighter) ones had no problem with them. Just a warning.
  17. Zune. The people who say iPod are people who have an iPod and have never given the Zune a chance. And by chance, I mean more then 10 seconds of play. The Zune uses a different interface, so people who are used to iPods think it's clunky and hard to deal with. Once you get used to it, you realize it's a much better system than the iPod. If you've never used the iPod, you won't have anything to worry about anyways. I've had both, the Zune is better and the screen is larger for picture viewing anyways.
  18. Gamestop gets some of their games shipped seperately from their boxes since the boxes are out for display and they could easily be stolen. If it's a brand new game (meaning it was just released very recently) they should have a shrink wrapped version. If not, chances are it is a new copy of the game it's just it's in the display box so it's not wrapped up. Give the disk a look over to see if it looks scratched or anything. You can always call them and see if they have another copy sealed, but chances are they don't.
  19. Sign up with their email service now! *laughs* Go to like Treasureisland.com and sign up with them and all of their partner hotels (the Mirage and stuff). You'll get deals in your email all the time. Treasure Island, I think, is the cheapest hotel you can stay at that is still really nice. It has a shuttle to the Mirage and everything. They have a free show, a nice club with free admission, and really good food. If you have an AmEx, you automatically get a $40 food coupon and a $40 spa coupon when you book with them. (PS - most night average under $80 at TI when you start to get those emails, just to give you a ball park)
  20. http://www.overstock.com/?PAGE=CATLIST&PRO_SUB_CAT=1458&PRO_SSUB_CAT=6430 Since I don't know how many pieces you actually need, here's a good place to start looking. They have non-stick and regular stainless stuff, you just have to look through it. Plenty of it is within your budget. http://promotions.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_1/105-1514132-5043616?ie=UTF8&keywords=stainless%20cookware&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Astainless%20cookware%2Ci%3Akitchen&page=1 There's also some good ones here. Including a 29 pc set for $140.
  21. You might find some luck in just calling them up and asking them! They might not advertise everything.
  22. Simon gift cards have the $5 fee. If you go to your bank, they are usually more than willing to get one to you at no fee. Buying one online, you're liable to pay for something, whether it be shipping or a processing fee. Plus, usually your bank is willing to provide the same kind of payment protection you currently have on your debit card in case the person you give it to gets it stolen.
  23. Yes, Gateway bought our Emachines. Emachines are somehow still better than standard Gateway's though. If you can find a good deal on an Emachine, take it. Unless you plan on doing a lot of gaming it should be fine. The computer listed above from staples only has 512 MB RAM. Keep in mind, you do need at least 2 GB RAM to run Vista. If you buy from dell (I just ordered one this weel) you can get a pretty nice machine at a decent price. I don't know what your price range is, but they usually have something to meet everyone's needs. Not to mention, you get a free upgrade to Vista when it becomes available. So, I would go with dell if you want Vista, Emachines if you don't (and can find a good deal). The best thing would be to go onto dell.com and build the computer you want to see the price range your looking at. Keep in mind 2 GB of ram is going to be expensive no matter where you go.
  24. I the trade in value for all the older systems went way down this past week. You used to be able to get $80 for a XBOX, now you can only get $40... well, $60 with the coupon. It's because of the next generation consoles. They simply aren't selling the older ones any more and the people that want to buy the old ones can usually afford to get new ones. It sucks, but Gamestop basis their trade in values on the amount they currently have in stock vs. the amount they've been selling. Recently, they haven't been selling hardly any because all of the retail outlet are offering better prices/bundles of the older game. Game stop simply doesn't care because they make their money mostly off the games. Each store doesn't like to keep any more then 5 used consoles at a time, so they cut down on the amount they'll give you for it to discourage you from trading it.
