I had the exact same issue w/my return of Xbox at Target as well.The manager finally got disgusted with the lack of resolve talking with their own 1-800 number and somehow bypassed it and credited back the FULL amount...I got the $50 giftcard for free .I think the issue was with the packing receipt versus regular receipt but you would think they would have fixed that issue long ago..

I agree the xbox is not appropriate for a 5 year old.I recently got my 12 year old 1 and he loves it...didnt care for ps3 but used the heck out of his PS2...My daughter bought a WII and it is just collecting dust...
