Where is the best laptop deal?

TheHancocks, What's your budget? -
A wireless router would be perfect for your situation. The wireless router would be added after your DSL modem. This would enable you to share high speed internet throughout your entire house with no wires. Every desktop, laptop and even gaming console would be connected to your wireless network. Here's what you need: Wireless router 802.11g, remember there are over 20 to choose from during BF.One wireless card for your dd's desktop

Anyone remember when this forum was just starting?

Yes I remember the good 'ole times :) -
Here is a list of over 20 wireless routers available on BF. In my opinion the best deal is the Linksys WRT54GC for $19.99 for these reasons: Does it make sense to stand in line for 8 hours to save $20 on a wireless router? I didn't think so.Assuming CompUSA will open at Midnight like they did last year that's better than 5AM.Linksys is one of the top manufacturers for consumer networking hardware.$19.99 out the door, no rebate hassles, stores open at midnight and not waiting in line for 8 hours. If you're still not convinced check out this review.Although we already own a Linksys WRT54G, I'll be buying this as a backup or gift.

I called my local CostCo and an employee said the "depot" will receive a shipment of around 24 Wii's on 11/20 and they will arrive after that. -
Once they're released, they should be available at the member services desk. Which CostCo warehouse is near you?

First I would see if your state has any laws against mounting the GPS on the window, I know CA has some laws. I mount it right in front of me to the right a little. It doesn't really impair visibility since it sits low and is small.

to the forums :) Have you picked an HDTV you're interested in buying? Amazon.com has an awesome deal on a Samsung 56" DLP 1080p with FREE SHIPPING.

Samsung HL-S5687W 56" 1080p DLP HDTV - $1,849.99 Shipped @ Amazon.com
RossMAN replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
Yes this is an excellent TV. First of all I would definitely recommend visiting BB and CC to see TV's in person. Write down these models and take a look at them: BB - Westinghouse 32" 720p -or- 42" 1080p LCD BB - Toshiba 50HM66 CC - Sony SXRD 50" or 60" CC - Samsung HL-S5687W 1080p DLP Assuming the Samsung HL-S5687W is connected to a good video source (HD-DVD would be best) you might be tempted to buy it on the spot, DON'T DO IT! Circuit City has this TV for $2,199.99 but you can buy it online for $1,849.99 with FREE SHIPPING. Pay with your Amazon.com Chase credit card and earn 5549 points which you can later redeem for $50 Amazon.com GC's As for my LCD vs DLP thoughts. If the TV is for a smaller room like a bedroom or you plan on hanging it on a wall then buy an LCD. Otherwise the DLP offers more bang for your buck and a better "theater like" viewing experience. Remember Amazon.com prices fluctuate, so I would buy this TV soon before the price changes!!! Click here to buy it now for only $1,849.99 with free shipping. -
Good question and the answer is yes. I Google'd that model number and here are the specs I found: Remember to buy a PCI Express video card not regular PCI or AGP.
-
Click here for all the DLP's available during Black Friday. Most TV manufacturers start at 46" although a few make 42" sets. The two best deals are: Samsung HL-S4266W for $1,149 with FREE SHIPPING and you can order it today.Toshiba 42" DLP for $999 at Sears on BFPlease continue discussion in our official TV & HDTV discussion thread.

Great post Marc, thanks :) If you have any additional questions please read this entire thread then post any questions there.

Don't forget to look at the manufacturers warranty. 3 years used to be the standard but these days 1 year is becoming more popular.

Scott moved this to the Black Friday Discussion forum as this pertains to BF. Please continue discussion in our desktop or laptop thread. Dell will probably have a BF special on a low end desktop and laptop but that's just speculation based on previous years. Thread closed.
