  1. Agreed. I learnt this on Cyber Monday and was not amused but it's clearly stated in FAQ's so I emailed them about my disgust and carried on my shopping.
  2. garbage can or bucket to wash car? or maybe if it fits its time to refresh the 2L bottle gift idea chain?
  3. Or find a Dollar Tree that sells them 2/$1
  4. there were a few on ebay not to bad, even this one with free shipping but not as cute as the ones I'd seen last year at cvs or kohls's maybe. the ones on ebay seem to be the same set although some are packaged in a hallmark box and others are repackaged with target flat pack display backing.
  5. i thought i'd posted earlier in the week....at my brothers bank they always had to be unisex and they would up with a lot of liquor(vodka, johnny walker), food baskets or electronic stuff(digital cameras) but since the economy was good back then the limit was probably pretty high. you could probably do some movies just pick something not too gender specific.
  6. lol...you're so thoughtful. I'm a mess this season, but I will get my stuff shipped on time.
  7. That's great news. It's always especially nice to see the people that we love around the holidays. May you both enjoy your time together
  8. aldi had a two pack of the stainless coffee travel mugs for 3.99 this week
  9. I'd have tried but with my experiences at Sears and site to store through Kmart I was kind of dreading the whole thing. I was also feeling kinda crummy in case I screwed anyone's chances of getting a good sale price if it all went wrong and they played the "pricing error" card. Mine are still missing but I'll return the Brave I got from Amazon anyhow, I can live without it if worse comes to worse.
  10. I got 2 in one day last week. The second rep pushed back a little but I just played the disappointed loyal Prime customer and she gave in.
  11. hallelujah, after the comment on post I was worried and the shipping delay didn't help. I was super worried I'd get something totally wrong or dvd only but shipping said would be received today. It was also the only kmart order I couldn't track online.
  12. hmmmm...I have one notoriously thankless and ungreatful person and I get her whatever I think will be appreciated/useful and falls within my budget for them. I refuse to spend over 20-30 (on them) because I know the kind of reception I'll get. Even buying a leftover item from a recent registry for this person was not suitable, but then again I later found out they add expensive crap to registry so dummies buy and they can return for cash/credit.
  13. BB is another one of those places I try to avoid as they can't resolve anything. Try twittering your disgust?
  14. I rarely use either but I do have accounts.
  15. cyber monday was pretty bad this year. Think I bought wool socks, black socks, and an orange squeezer with kohls cash and then a car charger for gps I ordered for my parents last Wed/Thursday
  16. for sears I have learned that scathing tweets help bring attention to the matter. try @sears and @searscares
  17. now that'd be nice....I bought 2 tickets on Sunday after I'd found out it rolled over again since I was complaining about forgetting to play for Sat
  18. LOL...I ran into someone having the opposite problem. Lady turned up early to guarantee her sewing machine (which they grossly over ordered at my store) and then argued with store reps about why she has to wait until start of sale time to pick up/check out. It never ceases to amaze me how stuff around these parts always turns into "this would never happen in" insert Cuba or whatever other country these people came from. Every time it takes everything in me to not respond "why don't you go back if it was so great". I guess the grass is always greener on the other side for some people? I'm 1st generation American and every BF for whatever reason (probably the abundance of deals) my mom recalls the story of her first trip to a 7-11 and it always brings tears to my eyes. Her uncle (who'd arrived a few months earlier since he served in the US army) took her+sisters to 7-11 and told them they could pick whatever they wanted. My youngest aunt took one candy bar and innocently asked him if when they came back the next day there would still be candy left for her to LOOK at and he broke down in tears.
  19. that's despicable...that's the old I hear you but haven't paid any attention to what you're telling me and/or don't care enough to respond directly to your issue.
  20. I'll take a crowd of wanderers to a crowd of people after the same thing I am:) I thought everyone at Macy's must be after the rice cooker but still got the I needed and my paper got passed around so I think it was all people with same "cool" mentality
  21. UNRELATED: Did anyone else find people waiting in line for stores to open without a clue what was on sale? Every store I stopped in at people were asking for my paper to see what was on sale. Honestly, you stand in a line at ungodly hours without a clue?!
  22. My best guess is that they knew their servers couldn't handle it and didn't care to upgrade. I avoided WM.com this year after last years experience of staying up and then not being able to log into my cart (which I was already logged into) in order to check out, eventually it worked and cart was empty so I replaced items then had multiples and got same unable to login error and then everything was sold out and I left house late for B&M stores with nothing ordered. I made the mistake of hitting the store early on Thursday hoping to be in prime spot for the Madagascar bluray combo pack I was missing and pick up some pj's for godson and maybe a sheet set. The sheets got brought onto the shop floor AFTER I gave a rep my paper showing which were in the sale (as an older couple and I had searched and asked multiple people who just shrugged until we found someone who tried to help) and a good 40 minute wait later and the bluray never made it to shop floor by 8:30 when I gave up and left. Considering I found a lonely Brave bluray combo pack before the sale I'm guessing they just put them on display before sale which explained the empty shelves on sale display. The store experience left me in a bad mood and reinforced the belief that WM couldn't possibly care LESS about it's customers. I'm thankful I had a few hours to cool off and down a tub of Ben and Jerry's before I had to hit the next store. I'll give them a little slack in that this is the 1st year THIS store has been open for sale as they opened at 5 or 6am last year and had time to rearrange everything to their hearts content HOWEVER that doesn't excuse the lack of organization, knowledge or tact. WM is a conglomerate and at the very least the store should have gotten a little guidance from head office (or even the other store not 15 miles away which handles a much larger volume). There were no maps for customers ,much less associates to guide customers, and it irked me to see all these people standing about being completely useless. I'm sure they were just extra bodies in case chaos broke out but would a little training/knowledge have been too much to give them. I even spoke to the store manager several times and was told that things "should be" here or there with no other input after being told they were not, NOT ACCEPTABLE.
  23. you could get one of those clear crystal or plastic ones and roll up bill to fit in hole at top. people use them for picture ornaments so should be ok for money too good idea
  24. If I recall correctly you need to print a return receipt or something from walmart.com
