  1. Thanks again to Packergurl! I want to say a HUGE BIG Thank You to my SS The gifts were lovely and not at all battered by my shaking earlier to try to decipher what it was. Bella's collar matched perfectly with a leash I bought at PetSmart(maybe?) a few weeks ago and at the time I was bummed because they had OTHER disney collars but not the matching Jack
  2. I mailed a JCPenney rebate a day late last year (similar date issue I think and lazyness) and got my $ back. you may want to try it IF they're gifts or you don't want to return and can cut upc's.
  3. It varies but generally we only mail gifts to immediate family, last year we made a photo book for my dad's side of the family and sent a few copies to the extended family in Portugal and Brazil as Christmas gifts with the Christmas cards. I don't mind not receiving, for me it's more about how well it's appreciated (or even acknowledged). I gave a gift (left on their seat before work) to a coworker 1 year (not expecting anything back) and had to ask IF it was received a week later because they didn't so much as acknowledge/email/thank me for it and I thought maybe it had gotten stolen before they arrived, needless to say I didn't bother the next year. Purchases vary year to year depending on what I know is needed, but also dependent on recipient. I have gone out of my way to purchase things off gift lists before (spending slightly more than I normally would have in the hopes of getting a better response) only to get some stupid remark about the gift.....so the next year I spent less than I normally would have and didn't bother to try and fit gift to person. I dislike gift cards because they seem so impersonal/thoughtless, but at the same time I love using them and can see how it would allow a "complicated to buy for" person to pick out their own thing. I guess it just goes back to my thought process, it's the thought that counts AND I am a better bargain shopper than most folks I know so I can get more for my $.
  4. Congrats on taking the first step to a new life. It'll be tough for a bit but hopefully more than worth it in the end. It may be worth checking out BB (or other stores) for open box returns in the days after Christmas, for now best I could find is: Seiki SE401GS 40" Class LED HDTV - 1080p, 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 120Hz, 3000:1, 10ms, 3x HDMI, VGA $299.99 after rebate at TigerDirect.

  15. I need to re-verify my amazon shipments. I may have received something from SS if they ordered from Amazon directly to me as I can't find what this tracking number applies to but I'm weary of opening it I've even tried shaking it to try and identify it but it just doesn't sound like my blurays. UPDATE: I have confirmed with amazon and it is SS stuff so I will put as first gift under the tree as it will be the only "surprise" gift I get this year. Thank YOU SS
  16. Only small left in stock now. I'm guessing the price is because they're changing models or discontinuing the item so may be hard to find in store. Here's a link in case anyone wants a small http://www.finishline.com/store/images/products/lg1000490001.jpg
  17. We were ahead a few weeks back when I made list of who gets what but haven't done anything since and brother is visiting this weekend so won't do much this weekend. I think everything is bought just a matter of wrapping and making some last minute gift decisions and returning other items.
  18. Good luck with that, at least corporate helped you. I got canned responses both via email and from corporate services and have not been back to Target since 11/01.
