The year I waited for hours outside BB the people in front of me started a list of people so we wouldn't get jumpers and management accepted it. Prior to that, the last year at CompUSA we all stood in line peacefully. My issue was with some older lady(50-60 not in her crypt) inside a Target a couple years back. Target had 1 orderly queue and were directing you (in order) to the first available register when said lady gets in front of me making her the next person to get a register. I kindly let her know where the end of the line was and both SHE and the TARGET rep gave me a nasty face. It's BF and my time is precious to me, I don't care if you "only have 1 thing", I only have a couple of blurays and everybody behind me is waiting....so you should follow the same rules. Any other day of the year if I'm not in a rush I'll offer you to go ahead of me (if I have a cartful or know I have coupons or something) but BF time is precious.

congrats all

so did I. I always volunteered on Thanksgiving (but requested BF off). Regardless we were only open until like 1-2pm. It was the only day of the year that they let us purposefully make warm fries to take home in addition to whatever was left and ASKED us if we wanted to take anything home instead of vice versa. I can still remember the joy of tucking into my big mac and small bag full of fries before everyone else showed up for their "meal"

Black Friday Webcast Thread - Details, Schedule & More
tinkrbel replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2013
Here's what I can make out from last years threads, if you need help converting times refer to BigJims webcast thread Most of the stores did not pre-notify GD when the sales would go live so it was a waiting game mostly. Walmart - nobody too happy with their online sale last year or the year before. Most items in store only with a list of 72 ONLINE only mostly bundle deals available starting 5am EST 11/22-Thanksgiving some items appeared to be live as early as 3am however any orders placed were then cancelled Sears - preBF shop your way rewards members 6pm EST 11/18- Sunday, Thanksgiving specials Wednesday 9 EST, BF 4 EST Target - started updating at 11/22- Thanksgiving 1am, most not updated til 4 am EST Best Buy - issues accessing the reward member preview 11/19- Monday 12 pm EST, 11/22- Thanksgiving 2:50 am EST BonTon - 11/21- Wednesday 8 am EST ToysRUs - 11/22- Thanksgiving 9 pm EST, B1G40%, b1g1f, b1g2f deals took longer to post up by 11:24 pm EST RadioShack - Thanksgiving midnight EST, not all items KMart - "Triple Doorbusters" online from 6am-8pm Thursday, 8pm to 6am Friday and 5am-2pm on Friday, all EST Kohls - 11/21 2 am EST lots of delays/issues to begin with -
my only real wishlist items, listed in order: having the pool refurbished a 4 tuner tivo w/lifetime service yearly pass to the zoo new full frame DSLR

While the final nail in your Thanksgiving day coffin was not a nice one, I like this idea. I can even order a pizza or oven one while everyone enjoys their turkey. Especially with the earlier opening times and online sales we should be home by noon Friday the latest with plenty of time to rest and then prepare meal for Saturday with a little prep work done in advance.

It varies from store to store, will have to look in older posts to see if it was saved last year. -
my fried brain doesn't know what day it is anymore....I rushed over there and that's tomorrow too. I woke up early this morning for tickets which go on sale tomorrow as well.

Amazon.com has upped their minimum shipping requirement from $25 to $35
tinkrbel replied to magickallight's topic in 2013
so then...now that my BFF sorted my 2nd prime slot... Do we think there will be less competition on BF/CM now that free shipping has increased? ppl seem pretty upset on the Amazon discussion forums. -
I think that's why it worked for me. Nobody seemed to know about it so I walked in on a Tuesday after Saturday sale and was able to get my tv.
-
I think they had Craftsman stuff last year but the only "Ace" store in our area is tiny and wasn't participating.

other than Kmart/ Walgreens and CVS? probably not

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2013
tinkrbel replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Just found the cartwheel help center. Seems you get 10 spots off the bat and then need to unlock badges to earn more spots. There appears to be a badges pages that gives you clues on how to unlock them. -
I would stick to learning stuff probably fisher price laugh and learn stuff..maybe throw in some musical stuff- I think we have a piano that teaches shapes and or colors. Probably worth throwing in a couple walkers or learn to walk toys in there that convert to walkable things. Kohls had a nice one on sale last BF an Fisher Price Activity Wallker for like 12.99 that I ordered online- I think there were additional discounts available.

hmmm...not sure how appreciated it would be...but if I had an Italian GG I would love a handmade/scrapbook type recipe book. Maybe you can work together to make it and then throw in some supplies to start with? Maybe have her write some traditions or stories regarding each dish

Black Friday Webcast Thread - Details, Schedule & More

thanks...I'm pretty sure it's all stuff I saw on here a couple years ago and makes great sense. I've been that sucker more than once with the fraud issue. Early on with CC's and last year or the on before with debit card running up 0.2x or less charges at walgreens or cvs. Phone number on debit card said it was the banks fault and of course there was nobody answering the line so I was forced to use a credit card for mere cents. It would be nice if security questions were about me but it was all about my parents past properties and cars which left me playing phone tag with my mom standing in another line. It's one thing to ask the city a property is but why would I know the county, it's not like I'm paying the taxes on the property. -
Amazon.com has upped their minimum shipping requirement from $25 to $35
tinkrbel replied to magickallight's topic in 2013
Not amused. Prime is only 30 days right now and Amazon Mom while 90 days appears to be tied to CC billing address and won't allow me to regsiter with another email. -
Hope you get into the spirit before it's too late .I'm sure it would be a great disappointment to all if avoided and may greatly improve health/outlook if done.

Is free prime trial still an option, I was just thinking about that this morning? I'm going there now I'm not very amused with Amazon after they changed the goldbox page, it's impossible to find new deals without scrolling through all 60+ pages. How easy would it be to throw in a sort by newest like they used to have. I'm not usually stuck in my ways I just don't see ANY benefit in this new setup. I don't know that I'd renew prime if I wasn't getting it for free. Without being able to find impulse buys I see my ordering lessening other than during BF time. -
Step by Step Instructions for sending a payment via paypal, yes you send $ to email address. Per post above here's how to enter address if it doesn't come up automatically. "FYI: When I used Paypal's "Send Money" link I noticed that Paypal doesn't recognize the money being sent as a payment for "merchandise/goods" and it says "shipping not required". Underneath "shipping not required" there is a link that says "change". Clicking on that link will let you select your shipping address. This is most likely why some orders are going through without a shipping address."

Interesting. I've never had to go to Kohls on BF always get stuff online, wonder what it'll be like.

cartwheel is another subset of Target coupons you can register and either use from smart phone or print and take to store. the target ones appear to be no longer available and I couldnt find a pdf online either
-
hmmm, I should see how I'm doing on blank DVD's, might still have plenty from several years ago though. I will definitely be getting the cds if available online, the older generation love their cd's.
