in the sale ad there is a link I believe that should be active later on. I haven't verified but its mentioned in sales ad and I think in BigJims webcast too.

I always miss my grandma the most around holidays and bdays. This year, my heart is breaking for a coworker who lost an adult son unexpectedly a few months ago. I don't know him well but it seems almost impossible to make it through the holidays and be thankful and cheery with such a loss.

I ran across this in the Dollar Tree the other day, a little girl was kind enough to move her mothers cart out of the way because the store employee just decided to park a returns cart in practically the middle of the aisle and just began to unload while causing a backup. When I thanked the little girl she looked clueless like "that's what I'm supposed to do". Have seen people get stuck holding doors forever and with no thanks. It doesn't take a lot to be courteous. I have a very stressful job and am very hectic but would feel bad if I were the one in the way. If someone is behind me or coming towards me and I see I'm blocking their space I try to move ASAP, moving the cart a little this way or that makes everyones life easier and its not a huge gesture of any means. It irks me to be in the supermarket and have a clog just cleaned only for the moron in front of me to create it again. I especially detest the bi@#$y ppl at checkouts who try to cut in front of you because its as season for kindness.(I am not referring to BF) I am not opposed to LETTING someone in front of me and if I have a cart full of stuff and lanes are full I will ask ppl if they want to pass ahead but I'm damned if you're going to CUT in front of me and then tell me to cheer up because its the season to be kind. It doesn't take a season for kindness and their little saying works both ways, be kind and get BEHIND me. grrrrrr

Good Luck whatever your approach. I'm trying to figure this one out, but the whole e-mail approach is throwing me. Are they out of area? Was it convenience? I think email can be impersonal and has greater chance of being misinterpreted (no tone, inflection, etc), so I would not respond in email format else it may come across as badgering. I think the easiest thing would be a phone call to either SIL or brother letting them know you got the email and you are fine with their decision but asking if they would be interested in another variation. Personally, I would go to my brother since I know he will tell me straight either way.

I've never seen one, but this thread just brought on the emotion of NOT having a tree at all this year. With new nephew my brothers old furniture got rehomed in our house so no space for a tree. If I see these rotating stands on sale after xmas I'll definitely buy one. Should be a laugh for next year with bella(shih tzu) who has never had a xmas tree and trina (australian shepherd) who howled the first time I turned on musical lights last year:P

That coupon expired yesterday, and funnily enough I got mine yesterday. I think these were last years promotional stuff.

I'm with you guys on this one. And the store maps make it less of a run around. Nothing must have for my family but lots of great deals to aim for.

Will the discounted DVD's and Blu Ray's be available online?
tinkrbel replied to rascalking's topic in 2009
last year amazon matched and beat a lot of prices on games and dvd/blurays all with free shipping if order over 25$. -
Does anyone know how TRU will be handling the to two early bird times?
tinkrbel replied to mommy23kids's topic in 2009
I suppose ppl will just pack store waiting for sale times else store may choose to kick them out to allow other in (fire safety, etc) and cause a huge uproar? Seems like an accident waiting to happen unless properly organized if you ask me. -
what say bigjim? I'm skipping B&M this year, possibly get a few bluray online but I'm sure amazon will outprice them like last year. BB is such a massive headache on BF I find it best to avoid if at all possible else show up sometime overnight or earlier if I NEED something. Last year there was still a line around building over an hour after opening and there couldn't have been anything worthwhile.

I was looking into both of these for my nephew as either xmas gifts or bday gifts next year but was convinced not to bother by reviews on Amazon. The VTech has several reviews where kids got their fingers stuck in/under a movable pig and the Megablocks Piano says its for 12+(I think) but Amazon has a choking hazard advising not good for under 3yrs along with reviews about not working as intended etc. The VTech reviews about fingers getting stuck are years old so may have been reworked since then, but I've just taken both items off my list preferring to be safe than sorry.

They're in some ad, maybe Kmart? My cousins (or aunt?) wanted those and not Lego's. I've never physically seen one, only the boxes. Back then we could get them at Service Merchandise.

robb01 --> your pic/avatar is too cute. I'm hoping I can do most of my stuff online this year since sales aren't fabulous. It kind of makes the hunt seem silly, I'll still be up and out super early just not as stressed.
-
thanks, not sure if this is age appropriate yet but fab price

I saw some in an ad free after rebate I think. just not sure what ad will have to re-review them it may have been walgreens with register rewards Walgreens has various sizes for 6.99 after $2 register rewards and Staples has free after their rewards. Staples rewards card is free in store and says 2 per customer per week but states 20 pack so maybe its just the AA's.

Do you or Will you do reconnaissance on Wednesday before Black Friday?
tinkrbel replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2009
I may this year since I took the WEEK off work. It'll allow me to work out where I'm going/in what order/ and then possibly even where stuff will be. I must say though nothing has blown me away as of yet in the ads. May have to be at TRU early for some baby piano for my nephew since I think its the most discounted item and since it's bulky may be short quantity. -
Cash, Credit, Debit, Check, Giftcard... How will you be paying on BF?
tinkrbel replied to AudreyNicole's topic in 2009
credit card. I HATE carrying around cash plus my cards all have some sort of reward attached. Will take my main card and then best buy/walmart ones if I decide on getting any big items there for interest free period. I think the disney cc also has interest free over purchases of so much but need to look through crap received in mail. -

tinkrbel replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
i only realized this number thing a few days ago, i seriously thought everyone had newer targets or something. I was expecting a number pad, like keyboard or atm and they're just all in a row. it was big EUREEKA moment :)
