Invest in a dvd burner then hook up VHS to it and voila can even burn it to computer for EXTRA safe keeping :) I got my burner as an open box at best buy and rarely use it but some day I'll sit and transfer everything over except maybe my Disney movies couldn't get rid of those.

today was not a good day. started off NEARLY missing amazon lightning deal(monsters v aliens) followed by wasting time at kmart which worked out since manager sold me a similar(possibly better item) than what was in ad as it wasn't received. Then off to Office Depot where the associate tried to sell me a regular priced item for the sale merchandise (apparently basic and rangeplus are the same) only to have the manager clarify it was a different item but after 20 minutes is no longer in stock. I did manage to snag the last 12.1" frame at Staples which made my day though not sure about quality however was mortified when I got to register and CC wasn't in pocket as thought I'd lost/dropped it but found it in car(which really could have ended worse). Then off to walgreens for some free and nearly free stuff only to have my CC declined on last transaction since I split into 4 sales to get and use all Register Rewards. I specifically spoke to them(CC ppl) this week advising I would be shopping etc and am still well within my limit but nonetheless the # of transactions clicked fraud protection which then put all my amazon orders in jeopardy:( Then I checked BB to make sure order placed yesterday was cancelled and as it didn't reflect called and they tell me a)there's no record of a call b)there's nothing we can do about it and c) the supervisors are too busy to bother with you. Off to try and call Amazon and beg them to honor my orders and reprocess CC, I made the mistake of changing the expiration date on first one I tried to verify since was looking at debit card. In between walgreens and BB mess had to rush back out to Walmart since my dad accompanied my mother to JCP for snowglobe and walmart and he picked up womens bubble jacket when he needs a kids one. I managed to find one after sorting through what looked like return or just clean up carts.

I'm wondering how it went. Update please :)

I was just coming to post about my positive experience and noticed the missing items post. My local store "didn't get any" of the sylvania 4gb 19.99 mp3/video players but I'd passed by a manager getting another customer something comparable in tools since something else wasn't in stock,so needless to say I figured I'd try the same. At first he tried to sell me one of the cheaper element 2GB and I explained that it was half the size and not really a like item fully expecting him to say take it or leave it. Instead, he said he'd find something and off he went, there was some misunderstanding since lines were crazy but in the end he authorized electronics to sell the GPX 4gb mp3/video players for same price. I wasted 20-30 minutes waiting since associate he left the stock with hadn't realized I'd stepped back so they could assist other ppl but did get 2.

harry potter blu rays were all $10 this am except newest one which is 15.

!@#! good thing i woke up early, had monsters v aliens scheduled for 5 but guess it's been active since 3. all this time zone stuff is making me crazy.

Thanks. I can confirm this(blu rays), my list of 20+ from Best Buy earlier this morning is down to just 8 now. I gave in and bought Dr Strangelove at BB since doubt it will come down from 21.99 to BB 12.99. Some others are off by $1 so may give in later/tomorrow. I highly suggest the prime trial and using 1 click ordering. I had 3 in cart and added a 4th and came up different seller/not available for other 3. I was able to go back and 1 click order these separately but may not be so lucky next time. I managed to get ninth gate, blow, children of the corn, and about 5 more for 7.99 or less on blu ray.

i just put a load of blu rays in cart and they want $60 for shipping. This is getting ridiculous, there's no point on saving on item and paying that. I'M going back to bed

so far of the ones mentioned i think insignia is the best rated not to mention cheapest but I'm not convinced. i got the samsung bdp1600 at Bj's last week and am considering returning had awful reviews on amazon. panasonic looked really good but no netflix and it would have gone great with the panny 46" plasma i got too.

my walmart site to store is usually empty but they are SLOW. takes them 5 minutes to show up (never had an associate at the desk when I show up) and then another 20 minutes or so to find items between playing with tape and other things processing order email and just general chatting etc amongst each other.

with sears I'd do shipping although can always go to store if it falls through. I've had too many orders through them with store pick up cancelled after verifying stock only to go into store to pick up other items and find the thing is in stock. sears has free shipping over 60 i think

Me too, I'm trying to win something worthwhile but the coupon is a PDF so you can save and print however many times you want will be much needed refreshment for a wacky day

Mine too. Will have to see who's open thanksgiving morning since last year I made the stupid mistake of walking to nearest gas station at some ridiculous hour I've got two within 2 blocks and one was closed other hadn't gotten papers. We don't have the newspaper machines/boxes anymore. I'm scatterbrained so need the tactile copy to make plans, else get sidetracked on every link I come across. Should start my rough estimate of where going soon though

thanks, I saw some on sale BF that's why I bring it up now:) They're a little bigger than 1/2 barbie, they were xmas merchandise last year.

The angel I picked up says Dora/Barbie/princess doll. Do you think they would be just as happy/happier to receive a few of the disney princess nursery dolls rather than a full size doll? I don't think it would make a bit of difference and this way would have multiple dolls to play with but maybe someone with the experience of kids can enlighten me. The tag says 5yrs old.
