I second that. If I'm going out really early/overnight just take an extra shirt and maybe a hoodie which I can take off later and probelm solved. Must be nuts with layers and the heat inside stores and all the people huddled to get in etc:(

I vow not to grumble over possibly chilly temperatures when there are so many others in freezing temperatures or worse. I vow to try and be more happy with whatever I can get than upset over anything I don't get. Somehow whatever I miss out on, no matter how small or meaningless, always seems to take over the must have item spot.

i've gotten all sentimental reading these posts. also reminded me of a very good and bad year for BF. I think it was 2006? I had just discovered this website and had been to compusa on thanksgiving night. drove up to BB at 2am for a 32in tv for like 299 and some laptops and dvds. anyhow I got everything I wanted but BB had separate lines for tv and laptops and my credit card company decided to be a PITA. They decided to put a "block" on my card multiple times (on BF) in case of misuse. I remember calling them and giving them a good talking down to each time and the poor rep who got the last call must've been scared. It was really exasperating to be holding up the line and then the cashier had to ring up and pass me the phone. Anyone would have thought I was broke or had stolen the thing:( And then they proceed to ask me questions about family members first cars and their property info etc like I should know this.

did anyone manage to get a humidifier at 75% off? I saw some at walgreens but said it was 17.xx at 75% off. Do these things really cost that much?

I think the BF that has stuck in my mind was about 15 years ago. I was 15-16 and still not driving but I had a job and earned enough to be able to get my own pc at radio shack on BF. My mother, grandmother and I all get up before 5 and head to the mall needless to say the parking lot was packed and we just managed to get a spot not TOO far. Some crazy person that hadn't even been in the same lane at the time speeds up behind my mothers car and starts balring the horn like we'd stolen her spot. Mother and gran refused to get out of the car for a good 10 minutes after that and possibly as a result I have never driven on BF. I DID get my computer and I might even drive this year. Anyone else or their shopping partner insist on moving the car after putting something in trunk? My mom is paranoid and insists on it, I always tell her to move it and meet me in store. Seems silly, I mean if someone really wants whatever they'll follow you to new spot and wait?

walmart had lots of stuff in toy clearance section including a few razor scooters for $19 and some guitar strings for $2

Cards galore all bought 75-90% off. Usually come down with christmas tree stuff around thanksgiving weekend.

Didn't know there was a policy related and neither cashier or other lady explained as such. It just seemed lazy,ratty since months ago one of the cashiers typed in something and rescanned item and computer came up with last price in system. He refused to sell me something that came up .01 but at least he looked it up :) One of the dog shirts i bought had no sticker and they just put as 1.98 with the other two nof that had the sticker for the same. Not sure if they'll fit or if I'll have problems returning them if they don't. Local target always had great steals but for the last 6 months or so have been pretty bad for good clearance and even worse with customer service. I don't expect my way, but some explanation or even acknowledgement of the fact I just asked about a price that didn't ring up rather than just typing in a price would be nice :)

GRRRR....I just got back from another frustrating trip to my local target. The cashier was just manually putting in the "not on file" items at whatever the last tagged price was, even after I advised her that was not correct. Some woman came around with a gun and just said yeah they're that price without scanning anything. They only had 2 jonas brothers cameras and 2 diego ones but both were scanning 24.98 I think? I think the best buy may have been the tea tumbler thing though I'm not sure who for.It made by aladdin,looked like a clear water thermos but has a filter at top and says its for use with loose tea leaves, tea bags or ground coffee? I had picked up a funtainer that was probably on clearance too(not on file and had the hanging tab) but it was smaller than I'm used to and I wasn't sure about the straw idea.They had a caphalon 4.5 quart straining lid pot I wanted to get but was only 50% off and my mother talked me out of it saying the coating comes off. One nearbyBB does something similar not sure what the number or if they actually count entry/exits and even thought it seemed ridiculous last year that they had a line still around the block a few hours after opening it would probably make the shopping experience easier inside. How much trouble can 20 people cause inside? It would hopefully mean stuff inside would be neater and easier to find. I would guess the problem would be the people outside getting antsy and losing patience. I think regular BF folk would be ok with it but newcomers and those people who just "have to have" something would be intolerable.

we always stop at penney's. I remember the target bags too. I think they did it a few years, I remember the snowman bag but I also remember one that zipped up into a pouch (maybe the same one). About 6 years ago we had a new shopping center with BB and Target and they both had free goodies that year, BB was just coupons and a snack maybe I think? Sports Authority had scratch offs w/chance to win a GC last year I think but just got a coupon I didn't use.

did the coupon scan through or they put it in manual? that sounds like an interesting idea for additional books not sure what coupon says explicitly though, sounds like it may be a shady area for interpretation. I'm still kind of avoiding Target from my last visit, all this marking stuff back up is ticking me off. I suppose the 1 TB hard drives they have for 99.99 will only go up rather than be clearanced to a REALLY worth while (BF-like) price. In reference to the switching out of Tags, that is theft as would be replacing with a different item. Wether the CS rep notices and action is taken would be a risk that individual takes. Separate to that, its not fair and I don't think any of us would want to be the one stuck w/ the wrong thing. One of the tags I got was open and I didn't really check it beyond making sure a pen was in there, wil have to check when I get home. I'll be delighted if I got the new pen in old box but that store didn't have any new ones in stock so doubt it.

Disappointed by my trip yesterday. Found the grill and smoker still as marked on shelf 129.99 had to scan it myself as MALE employees gladly watched from aisles away. Found some deckboxes stacked on top shelf and scanned to find they were still 30% off even though they were over a 75% sign. Went home with a litter tray and scoop for 2.48, a 25lb container of chlorine tablets for pool marked down to 23.98, and some little wicker baskets for 2.48 each. I may return the baskets as I can't really see them very useful for anything except maybe with cookies or little soaps w/xmas gifts. They'd moved and removed clearance stickers from the neverkink hoses I was keeping an eye on since my father can never have too many, and the sae with a larger deck box which has a seat on top:( I guess this unmarking clearance is a new thing at Target?

walmart has some of these on clearance in their BM stores, I got a few as gifts from the family for my nephew who will be 5m for xmas.

I've only stepped foot into a WM once on blackfriday and that was years ago and sometime around noon so things had pretty much settled down. I'm not sure what to be expecting, will have to ask at the store sometime.

hmmm..that might give me an incentive to go there...i think they're warranties are cheaper than other places.

I've been reading some of last years BF threads and I'm considering using the walmart and target price match/price adjustment this year. I'm not convinced through. I suppose I could purchase stuff early at target and get price adjusted but going to walmart still scares me a bit with last years debacle and someone posting about a broken leg. I've never had trouble getting anything on BF just seems easier if can get more stuff at one place. Hardest thing was sending my mother to Radio Shack last year for PS3 controllers w/ad and item circled,she only just managed to get the last 2 as she was standing in some random line before being told where to go and then the sales guy tried to add a limit of 1.

I think the up&up stuff was on sale when they clearance tagged. The ad said something like 30% off last week and then they're in the ad again this week. We bought some plates on clearance but when I went back couldn't find them and there'd been loads. I guess they were un-stickering them. I remember looking at the ad on my way to car w/TAG's and thinking it was odd something in their ad was actually clearanced.Thought if tags came down maybe plates did too but couldnt find any:(

that was totally unexpected, next someone will be getting an ATARI but sorry, no idea about the system you asked about. I was hoping to see something about a new must have game discounted somewhere. Do new parents still find time to play or would a game be a waste?
