  1. Let me guess FD lenses? If so then you might as well forget about adapters for modern SLRs, distances are too short. Now micro 4/3 (like sony's nex) will adapt them nicely. Also don't forget to look at other brands, like Nikon's old Nikkors or Pentax K/M42's, the quality can be pretty surprising.
  2. While this site is for the more expensive models, you can compare images from two different models (including ISO noise levels) http://www.imaging-resource.com/IMCOMP/COMPS01.HTM
  3. The T3 (1100D) is more of a Sub-Rebel, it replaces the old XS series. If you can't afford the T3i or even the older T2i (which is still better than the T3), look at Canon's Loyalty Program for even cheaper refurbished models.
  4. Ugh... the only thing I see of interest is the 16gb sd cards, and they go for that on newegg. Disappointing BTW are there any computer games on the list? All I saw was a bunch of console games.

    TRU line report

Went back out at 3:30... the parking lot looked a whole lot different... no lines, the place was reasonable busy but not crowded, got what i wanted (surprisingly they had any left). The cashiers were actually waiting for people to come up. Chatted with the clerk for a bit about the rush earlier. Now if all BF's could be like that LOL
  6. Zoom's pretty good (60mm), just make sure you've got plenty of light. What's really impressive is it's macro focusing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/Shodan_AI/finch2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/Shodan_AI/devestator.jpg Oh and I don't recommend going over ISO 200 with it. At 400 is starts to get quiet noisy (The 130 looks a bit better quality) Oh CHDK works with it (you can do live histograms, zebra stripping, RAW and auto-bracketing to name a few) http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK
  7. Those Canon Xs's are walmart (with the bag) were around back this spring/summer, for nearly the same price.

Massive crowd here too.... Stand in line in near zero temps for saving $10??? NO THANKS.
  9. I own the SX120 IS, outside of low-light situations and p&s noise, it's a good camera, and the 130 is even better.
  10. Hmmm looks like I'll be going out rather than online friday LOL
  11. Another XS! I'm guessing they're going to be discontinuing it very soon.
  12. Hmmm... how about SLR deals without lenses? I've already got a couple EF kit lenses.
  13. What I really wish was they had dropped the XS and kept the XSi. It's a better camera from not a whole lot more.
  14. Not much for SLR's this year... Sears = Canon XS BB = Nikon D3000 & Canon T2i Walmart = Canon XS Kmart = Canon XS I think Walmarts the best deal for the three Xs's (camera bag and 2gb memory card [although very small])
  15. One the workers said the T1i was on sale LAST year. Course then I was just looking for a point & shot.
  16. Ya from 2008. Also it looks like everyone's trying to get rid of them, Walmart, Sears and now Kmart. Although on ebay they seem to be going for about the same as this sale... (give or take)
  17. I think your thinking of the Sony Nex
  18. T1 actually.... T2 is out of my price range. Although I might go for the XS, use it for a year or so then sell the body for an upgrade.
  19. Ugh... another Canon XS, disappointing.
  20. Same here... T2 is way out of my budget
  21. Meh... saw nothing of interest. Best Buys was better than this.
  22. Gotta love the Transformers Voyagers for $19.97. I could go down there now and buy it for that price.
