I haven't looked at the ad. But I'll tell ya, the Paper Jamz mic is great! I bought it for my son's birthday in Oct. It works great! We had all of the kids..including the middle school football player and his bud playing with it! You can put three of your own songs from your pc on it. I HIGHLY recommend it. It is sturdy!

I saw the Pringles one this morning and got a little tingle....when I saw the pringle..lol!

The Paper Jamz Pro Mic is the exact same price that I paid for it in store a few weeks ago as well.

I went with Fire for DD 10 so that she could utilize our Prime features as well. I'm really pretty excited to see it in action. I have an HP Touchpad and a regular Kindle..but I want to see the Fire!

I think the only change is that I am spending less on extended family that we probably shouldn't send gifts to anyway..because they don't even call to say they get the gifts or thank us for them. I had considered not sending them anything at all, but they are my in laws (hubby was ok with it) but my heart says not to do that, so it's going down to $25 per person AND family portraits. Who knows if they'll like it, but at least I'll know we had the spirit of giving in our hearts.

I'm in a small town, I get up and get to Wal Mart at 4:00 am. If this is going to be the case, I don't know that I'm going to worry about it. I may handle all my shopping online. I guess it just depends on the deals. I certainly won't deal with madness at 8:00 or 10:00 pm on Thanksgiving night!

I finally had to just outright ask my son. We have come to an agreement on some things. And at first he didnt want a laptop!!! Now he chose one, but what he doesn't know is have chosen a better one(, lol! He chose some little things like batting gloves, for baseball, and a few video games (those add up so he won't get but 2), and then he'll get whatever else I decide to throw in. I think he's going to be one happy kid.

I'll be needing a laptop for a preteen boy myself this year. I'm looking for something that can run games and iTunes and such..hopefully nothing over $500..and I would prefer to order online. Can't wait to see the deals roll in!

Mine was in my paper today. $10 gift card with $75 dollar purchase.

All I want is a the Nikon 2199 AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G lens for my DSLR. Now hubby won't know how to order this, so I'll have to get it myself. I honestly don't want anything else and am spending so much on the kids this year I don't know if I can justify buying that for me. We'll see.

Starbeck...we got the NERF armor for our younger sons 9 & 5. They sell them for most of the Nintendo systems. They really help with them being dropped.

Great Deal Keeb!! Starbeck do you guys have a GameStop or any similar video game stores in your area, where you could buy a refurbished DS system? Or you may be able to find a DS Lite on Craigslist as well. They are still out there. The only reason we upgraded my youngest is because his DS Lite got broken (by his older brother!). I also think you'll find the DSi isn't that expensive refurbished though, and the DSi XL which is what my 5 year old son has now..is actually really good for that age because it has a much bigger screen and my son isn't able to lose it as easily, lol!

It sounds similar to what we call chicken and dumplings..but not quite the same.... and no ma'am I have never had it! It sounds like perfect cold weather food to me. Thank You so very much for the recipe..I believe I'll be making chicken and noodles in the next week or so!

I just made a list yesterday! Smoked turkey, gravy, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, Paula Deen's broccoli casserole, cornbread dressing, veggie and cheese platter, green bean casserole,rolls, pumpkin pie,pecan pie, cake balls, Snickers cookie bars,and chocolate chip cookies. I really cannot wait to have the house full of family, food, and laughter. Making memories that my children will have forever!

I was going to suggest the Kindle Fire as well, and they can be pre ordered right now.

I love this, and completely agree.

I don't do a dollar amount or number of gifts per child. I just go by what feels right. Last year the oldest got a brand new dirt bike..it was thousands..there is no way I could do that for each child..I have four. Do I think it was unfair..nope. We wanted him to have it, and felt he deserved it. He then got a few other gifts. This year the two youngest are getting used dirt bikes so that they will all have one. Nobody was upset or even thought about fairness. They were happy with what they got..the spirit of Christmas was alive, and that's really all that matters around here!

My older kids have the 3DS and to be completely honest...the actual 3D games..suck. I know around Christmas they are coming out with Mario and Mario Cart. My five year old has a DSI XL and is asking for a 3DS simply because his brothers have one, I refuse to do it. I just don't see what he would get out of it if he wouldn't be playing the 3D games.

Well, I showed this to my 9 yo son, and I'm shocked he wasn't interested! Now...I would almost bet....The beginning of Dec. when they are sold out..he's gonna want it. But for now I guess I'm going to hold off.

I pre ordered the Fire for my soon to be 10 year old daughter as well. A huge benefit I think is if you have Amazon Prime...all the free shows you can watch. I think this is going to be a huge it. Amazon also has a free Android App a day that can be downloaded for Android phones...I'm hoping they'll do something like this for the Fire as well. I have had a Kindle and cannot praise it enough..so I have zero doubts about the Fire! ETA: Just checked and it shows the delivery date is Nov 17th.
