$300 max per “household” but I don’t think that’s really enforced, at least in store. Gift cards won’t be active until Monday morning
-
20% here. You used to be able to consistently buy 40% codes on eBay for around $2-3 (which was a deal if you were going to spend a good amount at Kohl's) but the cheapest I see now for this round is $7, so maybe they didn't send out as many 40% codes as they usually do so the supply/demand has caused prices to rise.

Yeah that whole week is crazy. There's a reason this year's t-shirts had "Deals Week 2017" on the back. Pretty much from the Monday before Thanksgiving (when Kohl's starts) until the following Monday (Cyber Monday) it's just nothing but deals online.

OK, time for the announcement of winners, but first some info: There were 5,706 entries which includes double bonus entries for all posts made in the "Online Black Friday Sales" sub-forum. A total of 465 members had entries in the contest this year. The entries were spot out randomly from the database, then randomized again on random.org. The first 5 post ID #'s returned were chosen as the 5 winners (luckily all 5 were unique members). Here are the winners along with links to the actual posts that were chosen as winners: 1359427 - dakotadenise (17 total entries) http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/278931-walmart-is-raising-prices-online-to-increase-in-store-traffic/?p=1359427 1361487 - speeddiva (74 total entries) http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/277360-contest-discuss-black-friday-win-100-gift-cards/?p=1361487 1355449 - dd50 (1 total entry) http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/278078-kohls-black-friday-ad-posted/page-2?do=findComment&comment=1355449 1356346 - shoptillidrop2 (11 total entries) http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/278340-anybody-have-an-echo-dot/?p=1356346 1357445 - Turner1997 (28 total entries) http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/278416-time-for-a-quick-poll-online-in-store-or-both/?p=1357445 Congrats to the winners! http://news.adobe.com/press-release/experience-cloud/adobe-data-shows-cyber-monday-largest-online-sales-day-history-659 Thanksgiving $2.87 billion Black Friday $5.03 billion Saturday & Sunday $5.12 billion Cyber Monday $6.59 billion Up around 14% from last year for Thursday-Monday and up 17% for entire month of November. The entire article has some interesting insights on popular items, best discounts, etc. Always surprised Thanksgiving is so low compared to the rest as most of the BF deals start early Thursday morning and many deals are sold out by Friday.

Shoppers splurge $1.52 billion online by Thanksgiving evening, up 17%
Brad replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2017
For online shopping: According to figures from Adobe Analytics, customers spent a record-high $5 billion on Black Friday alone, compared to $3.34 billion last year. At the time of writing, a 16.5% increase in sales for Cyber Monday is expected by Adobe. However, despite the rise in online shopping, it seems that the slowdown in physical store sales hasn’t been as severe as expected. ShopperTrak said that preliminary data indicate a 1.6% decline in foot traffic to retail stores on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, although the decline on Black Friday alone was less than 1%. -
Maybe if you win a shirt from this you can still enter the other contests and the prize would be a $5 Amazon GC or something. I'll have to think about it. Plus most of the contests will take place in October, before anyone "officially" wins one from this contest.
-
Halfway mark might be too soon to be recovered lol. I’ll be back around Prime Day in July
-
I've been kinda considering that one as well today. If it was the space gray version I don't know if I could resist.
-
Spend it before they take it away
-
Up to 54 people entered so far. The number keeps growing... Maybe this will be the only contest next year, haha. Anyone who doesn't win one from this contest will need to buy one

We need a name for the group of members who make it all the way. Maybe even a little achievement badge under your avatar or something too I probably should have posted this before BF was over since there are likely a lot of people who left after BF and won't ever see this thread until next year, but they aren't part of the cool kids club anyway, haha

Ulta Cyber Monday sale starts tonight at 9pm CST: http://www.ulta.com/cybermonday/
-
That’s what I mentioned about timing it right by posting before and after midnight. Problem is by waiting until month’s end, something could come up on that last day of that month and cause you to forget to do it...
-
There likely won’t be free shipping until the next 30% code starts on 12/10. They have free shipping on only $25 now though, so that’s not bad.
-
I can see it now... there’s so many people that get free shirts from this that there’s nobody left to enter the regular t-shirt contests next year At least on December 1st I’ll know the maximum number of shirts I might have to give away. Will be interesting to see how many drop off each month. Another option is to make a special color of the shirts just for those who complete this challenge. Hmmmm...
-
Yes, for the last several years we have kept a Black Friday forum open all year long, so we're good.
-
Now if you time it right, you could do 2 months worth the same night and only have to visit half the number of times, but all it takes is one slip up and you're done...
