  2. Good news: I just got back from the post office where I dropped off packages for all 49 of you So you should be getting them in the next week or so. If you don't have them by 10/19, send me a PM so I can check the tracking and see what the issue is. This is definitely the first time I shipped BF t-shirts wearing shorts in 70-degree weather lol. I remember many times over the years going to the post office late at night when I finally got some free time and it was like 30 degrees and freezing rain. I'm sure that's still going to happen for the later shipments though...
  3. Just an update: all paid shirt orders have shipped tonight, along with prize shirts assuming you contacted me before today to claim your prize. Next batch will go out at the end of the month, so place your order if you want to be included.

  5. 46 of 49 members have posted for October so far I'm probably going to send out your shirts this month just to get them out of the house, so you'll be on the honor system when it comes to posting in here in November

    Harbor Freight

Yeah that looks to be from a previous year based on the dates.
  12. Sounds like it could be a situation similar to Bon-Ton where they eventually launch a new web site using the old name and trademarks and then open a handful of physical stores in locations where they are certain they can make money.
  13. Time for the next t-shirt contest! To be entered to win, reply to this thread with at least one item you are hoping to score a deal on this year and the price/discount you hope to see in the ads (or online) for it. Feel free to post more than one item if you'd like. Contest will be open until 9pm ET on Sunday, October 7th. I will then randomly choose 10 members who entered and you'll win a Black Friday t-shirt. As always, you can only win a maximum of one shirt per year. This includes the shirts won by members in the t-shirt club. Apple Watch

I checked back and we posted deals for both the 38mm and 42mm models last year so they did have both.
  16. Link: http://deals.gd/qosgd New versions of the Echo Dot, Echo Plus and Echo Show, plus new items including a microwave, wall clock, vehicle device, subwoofer, OTA DVR and more. Of course everything is at regular price so you're better off waiting for Amazon's BF sale to start.
  17. I'm sure they'll have some kind of online sale but I wouldn't expect much as far as deals. If they manage to open a handful of physical stores they might have some kind of ad but we're probably talking under 10 stores total. The new owner also said the physical stores will only be open Thursday through Sunday each week, so this is nothing like the old Bon-Ton - different merchandise, different prices, etc... As for being an affiliate, the new owners also own DirectBuy which doesn't have an affiliate program, so I don't have high hopes (and even if they do I don't think anyone will buy anything from the new company). It seems like they want to focus on services like interior design and fashion advice and make their $ from those services rather than offering deals like Bon-Ton used to.
  18. I'm pretty sure it was limited to one coupon per Target.com account so yeah, open multiple accounts if you need to.
  19. Yeah this year BF is the earliest it can be so there is over a month between BF and Christmas which retailers absolutely love. Next year it’s the opposite as BF is on the 29th which is the latest it can be and retailers lose one of the valuable weekends between BF and Christmas.
  20. These promotions have started: http://www.gottadeal.com/Deal/175977
  21. Looks like the site is full of items that are sold many other places and can be drop-shipped from the manufacturer or distributor. It's not like they have warehouses full of merch waiting to ship. Didn't see anything with prices that couldn't be beat elsewhere either. So other than the name/logo, there's really nothing the same as the old company.
  22. New site is up: http://www.bonton.com

  24. https://apnews.com/5f6506372f364a24b8894cf902eee601 "Amazon.com said the trees, wreaths and garlands will go on sale in November. Some will qualify for Prime free shipping, and Amazon will offer pre-orders so shoppers can choose a delivery date." "A 7-foot Fraser fir from a North Carolina farm will cost $115, according to an Amazon holiday preview book. Also listed are a $50 wreath and a $25 red-leafed plant with a decorative candy cane speared into the soil."
  25. I can't see that happening anymore. The outrage of 4-5 years ago over Thanksgiving openings has nearly all subsided and it's just accepted now. Keeping stores open one extra day costs virtually nothing compared to the extra sales they get that day.
