I've been watching some stuff on the TIvo that I recorded last month when I was busy with BF sutff and I have a mini panic attack every time I'm not paying attention and forget to skip the commercials and hear the announcer with "Check our our Black Friday sale this week..." Only 345 days to go

that's why i always try to use it on things that you can't use coupons on (but ideally are also on sale) so you don't feel like you're getting that much less value out of it.

I try to put my stuff up in early November. Otherwise I get too busy with the site as BF gets closer that it's almost too late to do it in early December when things finally calm down. Plus the tree and decorations keep reminding me during all those late nights and 16-20 hour days working on the site that there's a light at the end of the tunnel lol.

It's now December so the club is closed to new members. We're at 42 members this time, which means you've already received an upgrade to at least 3 bags per member if you make it all year. I figured we'd have less members this year because I posted the thread 3 days later than last year. I thought about starting it in December 1st but giving 31 days to join might have led to way too many members (and bags to buy). Next year will be interesting because Cyber Monday won't be until December 2nd so there will still be a lot of people on the board in December. Might just have to give a certain number of days to sign up instead of the whole month. It's really meant to reward those of you who are around often so congrats to those of you who were on the forum and found the thread in the 3 days it was available for signups Also, yesterday I received a sample of the bags just to make sure they are the same size/quality/construction as the old ones from 10 years ago and from what I can tell they haven't changed which is great. Now I'll just wait for a deal at some point during the next year and order several hundred of them. I might crowdsource the design for the bag as well in here over the coming months.

Update: It's now December 1st and the contest is closed to new entrants (so trying to sneak in with a post now won't work ) As of the end of November there are 42 members still eligible to win tote bags.

Having multiple prize choices just makes things more difficult and time consuming, especially when this ends during the busiest time of the year for me. It's a lot easier to just pack shirts or tote bags or whatever in advance and not have to worry about quantities for each item and matching the item to each person when it comes time to put labels on, etc... Plus most customized items have minimum quantities so it's either not possible or very expensive to have just a dozen or two made of something. As for giving prizes to people who missed a month, that's not really going with the spirit of the contest which was to make every single month. We had more than enough people that were able to do it that I don't see the need to make things easier. And yes, giving away shirts in the club made the BF t-shirt contests less active this year and also caused their to be less of them as I ran out of shirts sooner than usual, so I don't think I'd ever do that again with shirts. So now club members can win something by posting once a month and then they can also win a shirt like everyone else.
