  1. Once again, Sears did not send this ad themselves.
  2. nope. the ace scan is the same one we posted in august.
  3. no rebates. washer is on sale for $559 dryer is on sale for $479 but if you buy both, you pay $599 total
  4. Links and discussion here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=123064
  5. nope. this ad was posted elsewhere and sent here shortly after. aaron and i are done typing up all the doorbuster items (which were half the ad) and we'll be adding most of the non-doorbuster items in the next hour or two so you can add them to your shopping lists on the BF site. i swear i remember typing up some of these same items every single year for the last 5 years. sears doesn't change that much, lol.
  6. That's not the stores doing that - the video game companies won't let them advertise systems at less than MSRP. Same with iPods and a few other things.
  7. Item by item. The full scans are available in the normal location...
  8. I'm starting from the front. Aaron (one of our BF mods) is starting from the back. Should be done by, oh, Thursday

  10. If you put something in your cart, it's not truly reserved until you complete the purchase. So if there is one thing you really want, buy it first and then go back for another order. If something sells out while it's in your cart, either it will get removed automatically or an error will pop up. Some people have had luck placing items in their carts ahead of time and just waiting for the prices to change, but that doesn't always work for a variety of reasons. And of course, make sure everything is correct in your account - addresses, credit card info, etc...
  11. Already being covered here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=115538
  12. just a heads up: with the big toy book now being posted on toysrus.com, in the next few days i will be removing those items from the black friday site database and from then on the black friday site will only be listing actual black friday or thanksgiving day sales. doing so will also remove them from your online shopping lists, so if you need the items saved on your list, it would be a good idea to save them somewhere else before they are removed.
  13. Yep, looks like a lot of the items are now online (and many qualify for free shipping on $49+ orders): Big Toy Book Online

  15. That was last week. We don't have another scheduled chat right now, but the chat room is still open :)
  16. Our TRU affiliate rep just sent these over. I don't know if these will be the only Big Book offers available online or not, but I'll post them anyway. Sale starts tomorrow.

  18. I think if stores have a ticket system and do not have a way to stop/disallow the selling of tickets, then anyone with complaints should direct them at the stores, not the people selling the tickets. Personally I don't see much difference between someone selling a ticket for a TV for $100 or buying the TV and re-selling it elsewhere for $100 more than they paid (and both of these happen a lot with BF ad items). Either way, the people behind them in line don't get that TV. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just that the end result is the same. So far this thread has been OK, but just a warning that if we start seeing comments intentionally made to stir the pot, those members will face consequences. This is always one of the "hot button" topics each year, so hopefully the discussion can continue as it's been :)
  19. And if you want to keep track of the daily deals posted on the main, year-round GottaDeal.com site, that site has it's own RSS feed: http://www.gottadeal.com/rss.xml I'll post some of the best sales/deals from there on the Black Friday site (as the BF site gets more traffic these days), but there are usually 25-40 deals posted there per day as well that you might want to check out.
  20. There is an RSS feed for all the news items: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/rss.xml And there are many web sites which you can sign up to get e-mailed updates of any RSS feed. Just use the URL above and you'll get e-mailed updates. Here is one such site that will do that: http://www.rssfwd.com I haven't used any of these sites, so I can't say how quickly they e-mail you once I post a new news item. Also, while we mostly will use the new ad alerts for letting you know about new ads posted, if there is any particularly big news, we'll also included that in the e-mails as well. But the RSS feed is the easiest way to keep updated, and there are literally thousands of things you can do with that - you can set up a screen saver on your computer that shows RSS feeds, have updates sent to a cell phone, etc...
  21. I wondered that myself. I'm not sure if I should be happy or upset to be missing out on the thronging this year.
  22. Agreed. That's a nice price and for once a Wii bundle that actually saves you money vs. buying things individually.
  23. You might find a few, but the problem is during that time of year, most stores in cold-weather areas don't even carry them, so for a national BF ad, the stores won't feature items that you can't get in a lot of areas. They may have 1 or 2 special models they bring in, but that would probably be it. If you live in an area where they carry a big selection year-round, your individual stores might do deals for them on BF even if they aren't in the ads.
  24. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=1025920&dest=9999999996 http://i.walmartimages.com/i/if/hmp/fusion/Online_ShelfHeader_holiday.jpg Looks like Walmart is starting their holidays sales a little earlier :)
