  1. FYI, we've replaced the PDF and scan images with the actual newspaper circular.
  2. Also keep in mind that Target's "Doorbuster" items aren't only available for a specific time like other stores. They just label their hotter items as doorbusters to generate some hype. If they still have them in stock, you could buy them for the ad price at any time during the entire sale, not just for a few hours.
  3. There are 16GB and 32GB versions of that generation out now. Apple.com is selling both now.

  5. Be patient... I'm sure it won't be very long now

    JCPenney

JCPenney is having a BF sale this year. But they are not doing snowglobes anymore. Something else instead... We should have the ad by the end of the weekend if all goes well.
  7. They do that every year. Annoys me too.
  8. The fine print says if they are unable to fulfill your order, you get a refund. Not much of a guarantee, lol. So you have to pay for the item right away, and if they don't have enough stock by Christmas, they just refund you or possibly substitute another item. I thought they might give you a gift card or something if they can't fulfill it, but I guess not. They get your money up front and don't necessarily have to get you the item.

  10. CNBC video from today - "Is Black Friday Dead?" http://money.msn.com/money-video?videoid=e79cab7e-db6a-48ce-9a04-cab2d8cc58bc&from=en-us_msnhp
  11. Seemed like in the past, you could get some sleep, get to stores for 5am opening and shop the whole day if you wanted to. Now you have to leave Thursday night (and being Thanksgiving you usually don't have time to get any sleep during the day) and you probably get home early Friday morning exhausted and sleep the rest of the day. I'd think stores would be much more empty around noon than they were years ago.
  12. No way, lol. The site is getting hammered with traffic. The MSN.com front page has a story about Walmart's BF ad that links directly to GD. We couldn't handle another ad right now
  13. Do you guys think you shop for a longer or shorter overall time in stores because of the Thursday night openings?
  14. Some states have MAP (minimum advertised price) laws. That's the reason for the differences.
  15. Yeah Saturday is the last webcast t-shirt contest, at least for this year's shirts. We'll have one or two more forum contests for shirts. I'm holding back some shirts in case there are shipping problems with the ordered shirts.
  16. If we run out of shirts for this year, we can always give away 2013 BF shirts like we did with a few contests last year We need to end all t-shirt contests in the next 4-5 days so that there is plenty of time to ship the shirts and have them get to the winners in time for BF, but we can give away reserved shirts for next year after that point in time.
  17. We'll know more in a week or so. We'll post our full schedule of the online start times as we do every year so you won't miss anything.
  18. Front and back pages, full ad to come soon. http://i.gottadeal.com/blackfriday/images/bf/Target/1.jpg http://i.gottadeal.com/blackfriday/images/bf/Target/2.jpg

    Online shopping??

As for the iPod touch 4th gen deal for $195 w/ $50 gift card, it's a very good price. But f you don't mind paying a little more to secure one one, eBay's Daily Deal page has them today for $169.99 with free shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/360507409065 When you factor in tax (if BB charges tax in your state), it's likely less than a $15 difference ($170 for eBay vs $155 or more for BB after you factor in the GC) but you are paying less money out-of-pocket and no crowds to deal with or taking chances online on BF. Just an idea

    Online shopping??

Yeah they've had many of the gift card promos online, including the iPods in the past. As for the day they go on sale online, don't put too much into what is in the ad. Many times they start the online sales earlier. But don't worry as we cover the online BF sales extremely thoroughly so you won't miss anything. We'll have our tracker on the site, we'll send out e-mails when the major stores go online and there will be threads here on the forum for all the online sales.
  21. And I don't want to see any whining about the bonus free items that were included No complaints that you didn't get an extra shirt, gift card, or anything else There were too many orders and not enough of those things. Everyone got several extra items. The extra shirts that I included were all different sizes, so maybe once you all start getting your packages someone can post a "trading" thread where you can try to trade a size you don't need for one you do.
  22. T-shirts have been picked up and are now en route to all of you who have bought them. Once the ads slow down and I get some time I'll ship out the winners' shirts. They are already packaged - just need to slap on a label.
  23. It probably would have been Tuesday night if not for the election. They just delayed it a day. I also learned today that they sent the ad to CNN and other media outlets yesterday afternoon so they could prepare stories to post at midnight.

    Meijer

I wish every store would do this. Would make my job much easier
