klehb Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Seeking a recommendation for a GPS system with spoken street names for a college student to use.
Marcster Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I always recommend sticking with the major brands, namely Garmin or TomTom (I have one of each). I am really fond of my Garmin 780 (feature-packed at $199.99):http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-780-Widescreen-Bluetooth-Navigator/dp/B0011UEUNG Garmin has a deal with Mapquest.com where you can create your route on Mapquest and then sync it to your Garmin via USB cable (which is faster that tapping on the little pressure-sensitive screen). Do you have a budget?
tokanm Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 <------- Has 2 Tom Toms love them. There will be lots of deals on these for BF I am guessing.
Elmck Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I got a family member a Garmin last year on BF. It was the one from Target.
