Bigbroad55 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Do you think that there are stores that will actually NOT do BF ? which ones do you think ? Also which ones do you think will have a GREAT SALE?
wx4svr Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Most stores will do "something" on BF. No matter if it's the smallest sale, or the largest giveaway item, it all adds up. When I think of a store that doesn't do "much" for BF... I think of Apple. (Unfortunately). The great sales will always be at your big name stores, BB, WalMart, Target, Sears, etc...
AndreaInNC Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Target actually stopped doing BF a few years back. They run a 2 day sale now ..
wx4svr Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Target actually stopped doing BF a few years back. They run a 2 day sale now .. Not in Louisville. lol. They are still a one day only thing here.
Rockfordmom Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Target actually stopped doing BF a few years back. They run a 2 day sale now ..But all the really good stuff is gone the first couple hours of BF. They can call it a 2 day sale, but it's stil a BF sale.
angelbabymommy Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 But all the really good stuff is gone the first couple hours of BF. They can call it a 2 day sale, but it's stil a BF sale.I was thinking the same thing ; nothings there after BF, so the second day is useless...lol
jenna8110 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Target actually stopped doing BF a few years back. They run a 2 day sale now ..Target in our area has the two day sale too but there usually isn't anything left after mid-day on BF anyway. Wal-Mart (in our area at least) sells BF items until they are gone. I've gone back 2, 3 days or even a week later and still picked up a few things at the BF advertised price!
polve Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Barnes and nobles is another store that doesn't do anything for BF, and I wish they would!!
zim05 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Barnes and nobles is another store that doesn't do anything for BF, and I wish they would!!Me too, or at least do coupons or something...I would totally hit them up on BF! The Targets around us do the two day sale but usually on Saturday they will restock what little they have left so sometimes what I couldn't/forget to get on Friday I could Saturday.
musicalkarasel Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Wasn't it Office Max that didn't have a BF sale last year?
sas377 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Wasn't it Office Max that didn't have a BF sale last year?NO, they did BF... I don't remember anyone major not doing it, but I may be forgetting!
mgmckny Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 But all the really good stuff is gone the first couple hours of BF. They can call it a 2 day sale, but it's stil a BF sale. With the exception of a very few items, my Target had rainchecks available so you could still get it later...
Rockfordmom Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Wasn't it Office Max that didn't have a BF sale last year?Office Max does BF every year.
Sunshone7311 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I've found that going to a city that is for instance small and retired gives the best BF results. For example, my wife and I plan for a trip to Payson, Arizona to see her grandparents for thanksgiving. Its a retirement community where people don't have much interest in these sales. I found waiting a day or two after BF that the retailers, especially Walmart will mark down the BF prices by another half. Not joking, I made a killing last year. I actually felt kind of guilty afterwards. The stores had minimal traffic, I actually saw them mark down Samsung 50" Plasma's down to 499.00. I would have grabbed one, but my car was already full. I may bring a trailer this year LOL....:)
dealluvr Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 i dont think family dollar ever does anything do they
AuntieJul Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Does anyone know if Sephora does one? I'd totally score myself some makeup. I've noticed lately their "samples" in the stores are a bit lacking.
kjunea Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I used to work at a Disney Outlet Store and we would have different things for doorbusters on the Saturday and Sunday after BF. People would come all three days early in the morning!
speeddiva Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 i dont think family dollar ever does anything do theyI don't know about Family Dollar, but Dollar General does. Last year they gave out free reusable shopping bags for the first 100? through door and had some great deals on gift sets & other smaller stuff. Im really hoping they have their Axe gift sets again this year.
Bigbroad55 Posted September 21, 2009 Author Posted September 21, 2009 Florida still does it also Target actually stopped doing BF a few years back. They run a 2 day sale now ..
