I don't know about the quality of the sewing machine, but for under $10.00( including shipping) it might be worth a try for you. this table cloth was the cheapest thing i saw on their site, for $2.99 I added it to my cart, and tried the code for the free sewing machine, and it worked. (shipping for both was Standard Shipping of $4.99 for a grand total of$ 7.98

fyi for if/when this expires - you can get this same sewing machine (but in white with purple buttons) from CVS and many other stores for just $9.99.

 

They are good for small projects. I am on my second one now. I like that it's compact so that I can easily store it out of my daughter's reach or a few times I took it with me on trips etc.

would it make a good first sewing machine for a 9 yr old? my daughter has been begging me to teach her how to sew and if this would work for her, then maybe it might make a nice christmas present.
