worktomuch Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Looks like Amazon needs to thank some of the folks here at GottaDeal.com for all the work everyone did getting the word out this year. Here's a link to the story if your interested. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Amazon-says-2008-holiday-apf-13918688.html
racerfan Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I helped them also. I did a lot of online shopping this year and saved a bundle. If not for Amazon, my kids would not have gotten what they did.
redheadedwoman Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 They ran some good deals. I saw some "bargains" at some sites that weren't bargains at all. They should have all taken a few notes from Amazon.
Kayakmom Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I'm not sure that I spent quite as much from Amazon this year because their toy deals weren't up to par with last year's, but I definitely did my part! Amazon is my favorite online retailer. They even deliver my diapers, lol. I use the subscribe and save and it makes them cheaper than Costco. :)
mom2maddynsky27 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I did my part. ditto for me :) I helped them also. I did a lot of online shopping this year and saved a bundle. If not for Amazon, my kids would not have gotten what they did.double ditto for me :) some people where not happy with amazon but i sure am. i got some amazing deals from them this yr.
bluesky225 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I was very happy with the deals I got at Amazon and bought the majority of my Christmas gifts there. I actually bought a LOT from them! I definitely did my part as well!
Sacha Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I too helped Amazon's bottom line :) While the toy deals were not as good as last years I got a lot of the items my boys wanted at 50%+ off so I am happy!
neile457 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 yeah, i got a wii fit and a roomba from em
rebecca7675 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I saw this on the News today. I did my part and even though I had a few issues with them I still got some good deals. Not nearly what I got last year though.
firstladyberg Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Most of my Chirstmas gifts were order through Amazon, although not as many this year as last. The toys deals were just not available like last year.
elena_398 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I helped too. Their wide variety of items, special pricing, and free shipping sealed the deal for me.
rjones2615 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I got more last year with Amazon. I ordered so much that telecheck put a hold on my checking account because they suspected fraud. I couldn't write a check for a week!!
Rayny Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 These are really some unbelievable figures. And to think, they did it will retaining their great customer service. I didn't order a lot from there myself, but what I did order wasn't cheap.
peppysfireball Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I was knew to Amazon last year and was returning more to merchants broken than keeping. After seeing the deals this year although I came in late. I wil buy more next year. My youngest is 12, but have 6 granchildren under 7 so will buy lots for them.
dealdiva Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I love amazon and did a lot of my shopping there. Also love the free shipping and the fact that you can buy just about anything there!
kjunea Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I did lots of shopping with Amazon! My DH got $300 worth of certificates from work for them as a bonus and we put them to good use! Great way to send presents to people far away that would cost us an arm and a leg to send! It was my inlaws, so it didn't matter if it was wrapped or not!
chrisjuvers Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I ordered a ton from Amazon this year. I used my prime free trial so everything shipped free or used the super saver shipping. I'm wondering if I would get the use out of the Amazon prime if I paid for it.
kboyts Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I certainly made good use of Prime this year. I think about 75 - 85 % of the gifts I bought came from Amazon this year.
